Thanks a lot mate. I am all set on CBR. One question though. I don't like the new color scheme. If i order the old paint scheme ,would i get a year old manufactured machine ? Is it wise ?
What was the colour of the bike you tested? was it black cbr with golden graphics? (If that was, it was the bike my friend had booked but later canceled when it turned out to be a 2015 manufactured one)

I have two bad experiences with envision honda.

    1. Terrible service : Not only they didn't change oil filter of my bike even when insisted, they deeply scratched my left bar end weight using a plier and failed to rectify buzzing meter. The CBR mechanic (his name is salman) although is friendly, but takes his work too casually. Rest assured, never going back there.

    2. My friend had booked a Black CBR250R ABS there, envision honda sales person assured us that they will get us a 2016 manufactured bike. They were quoting price that was 3k more than other honda showrooms in lucknow but we wanted 2016 made cbr, so 3k extra didn't bothered us. During 2 months of booking time, they tried to push two different 2015 models to us claiming them as a 2016 model. We finally cancelled the booking and went to aditya sky honda.

Even aditya sky honda near chinhat are very unprofessional. We went to their showroom with cash to actually purchase the bike, but they failed to find the keys of the bike kept at their showroom. We waited for a couple of days but they still couldn't find the key. Finally went ahead and bought a nov 2015 cbr250r abs from jugal kishore honda.

Service experience at jugal kishore isn't great either.

Radiant honda (i had purchased my bike from them) located near transport nagar is considerably better than these 3 dealers i have mentioned above.

Guys I blew a fuse while refitting my horns. Is this fuse common to all Honda bikes or made specifically for CBR?

The reason I ask is that the only Svc with CBR spares is 50 kms away. There are other Honda Svc close by, but they don't have spares for CBR.

small size fuse and not common for other motorcycles. most use bigger fuses.
this is the same fuse used in inner fuse box of cars.

go to car spare part shops and ask for 10A small fuses.
else get same fuses from any car decor. same ones used in all car 1/2 din music systems.

should be 10 bucks each. buy 5-6 and keep spare.
there is also 1 spare in cbr fuse box . on the side.

plz mention the name of dealer and city or others relevant details so that no one among us falls prey to them

and those cheaters can be identified for any future reference
And you won't believe me when I say the petrol pump is stone's throw away from there..!!!
Not only this Envision Honda stocks the bikes at the 2nd floor and I have seen teenage kids handling bikes like cbr in and out of the showroom..when I was taking delivery of my Activa a new Honda shine was being revved to it's redline just because it was having some hiccups on it's first start..all this being done by teenage boys..

What we have in motorcycles are mini fuse. One can easily distinguish between them by the taper at the sides of the blades. Mini fuses are narrow and have a sharper taper, standard ones are wide and have a normal taper.

I enquired in about 6 showrooms for cbr250. Everyone said that they dont accept bookings. The reason is they stopped production in factory and new cbr is about to come. Is it?

Honda offically denied any update of cbr250 for india .. even though thailand is getting the updated version soon and seeing the production version pics its going to smashing hot . But for us there is no hope in future .. may b honda launch it by 2017 or 2018 or the updated version never makes way to india .

KTM Duke 390 is a great contender here but i don't like the exhaust note and it heats up a lot in traffic.

From what i heard is that honda had stopped the production and clearing out stocks for 300r.
That's why they are giving no news about the 300 , to help clear the stocks.

Yup..Unavailability of stocks points for that only..

I myself having a cbr 250r ( oct 2012 model) mileage -50k+ kms . Enjoying every moment of it since the last four year . Cbr is bit old model as compared to others .
Ktm rc and duke series have aagresive look and handling too. But are not comfortable for lomg trips. But the bigger models are amazingly fast .

Go for a bike which you loves by heart ( maintaince cost etc should come second )
. If exhaust is only problem then u can go for aftermarket. Having a test drive of all the models will surely helps you a lot . Any more info on cbr- ((mantaince cost, spare part cost and availiblity ,average etc )) you can pm me .
BEST OF LUCK for your purchase .

Buddy it is your choice in the end, like what sort of rider are you? U like smooth throttling and cruising in high speeds or u like a rocket rider? CBR is great for me just to get around, no issues in traffic with heat, temp bars have always been at 3. Duke is a torquey monster, it will keep u excited a lot, but its not suitable for b2b traffic, but its pretty good on the highways but the poor tank capacity range doesn't help. My advice test ride both , n see what suits your riding style. CBR both on the city and highways performs without any issues, the Duke can't n shouldn't be ridden during peak hour traffic or u can get ur thighs Burnt. Both are different machines.
