Thankyou for understanding.. I think sticking with the P220 for now is a better option.
But it will be a long wait till i actually get my hands on KTM 390. So the wait begins.
As far as controlling is concerned. Thats what i need. A challenge.
And maybe someday i will be back saying KTM 390 is good but i need more power.

I have personally done that on my Bajaj Pulsar 220 and it puts absolutely no affect on the gearbox. It worked good till 1200 Kms and then there was some noise and gear shifting suffered I continued till 1600 when there was too much noise. I had to do that on my ride back home from Jammu as something happened and my chain gave up. Some stone went round on the sprocket(Friend told me), i have no idea, my chain was 10K Kms old. Was only riding to office after that.

No issue if chain slack is maintained as per manual.

Hey friends, this means that a biker is a biker- Some loves the Enfields and go Dug-Dug @ 80Kmph. And you overtake them on your Ceeber saying why are they going so slow. At the same time they say why this Ceeber rider in a hurry. One is in traffic cursing everyone and frustrated and on that same road there is one who is riding through happily. So the main thing is that we are all one at heart.

He he Nw bro.yes you wouldn't feel the diff much now as u have a 220 which itlest is a beast of its own world.I would say the only thing that would suffice your quench for speed would be the 390.if you are a little short in cash then I would say hold on for a little more time.
BTW I have a friend of mine who has 390 and whenever I use 20% throttle I am pulled against the grav pull.he he.

I know i got a chance to ride D390 in 2014 for the first time and It was doing 150+ in 5th gear with a pillion. That was a 6-8 Km ride. 2 days after that i was reading it's specs and found that it has 6 gears.. :$

              Hello friends,

I'm from Chennai and have been silently going through different ownership threads for an year now. Reason - which bike should I upgrade to from my 2009 Honda Unicorn.

I have finally decided to go for CBR250 as this fits my budget allowing me to buy riding gears , will be a linear upgrade and more importantly comfort with reliability.

Now, I'm confused about which showroom/Service center should I visit to buy/Service my CBR250.

              Please advise on this.

Make sure the chain slack is good and you are good to go. Gearbox won't be damaged by this. But being a bigger bike, I'd suggest you ride gentle till the sprocket set is changed especially if the chain is old. Links in chain could be worn too and might not be able to handle the power as good as new one.

That's quite a funny revelation. Didn't your friends bike experience any engine seizures for having driven for that long on 4th gear

Glad to see a Tri Color Edition come home. A few questions, from my side which year manufactured is this bike now? Can you share your VIN number? Secondly, when was the bike booked and when did it get delivered. Heartening to see TRI COLOR edition after a long hiatus.

                                Ride safe!

                                Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                                THE END
