This is most likely a fuel pump issue - as, from my personal experience, I have seen similar modes of failures for cars. Have to check with the Honda service guys if they can clean the pump for me once, to give it a try as an interim action.
I faced exactly the same issue some 13 days ago with my 150R. However, since the battery of the bike is due for a change and is showing signs of dying out once in a while (for example, going completely blank instead of just going dim when I thumb the starter), I am hoping this has nothing to do with anything other than the battery.

Exactly I asked the Honda SVC they said its not possible, as many have mentioned by 2017 abs will be mandatory.

I am also facing similar issue. It happened thrice in last 3 months.

I have been doing long rides in this duration but it never happened during the rides. all the 3 times it happened while commuting in the city and within 2-3 km from the start and it happened at low speeds(<30kmph).

I have two bad experiences with envision honda.

          1. Terrible service : Not only they didn't change oil filter of my bike even when insisted, they deeply scratched my left bar end weight using a plier and failed to rectify buzzing meter. The CBR mechanic (his name is salman) although is friendly, but takes his work too casually. Rest assured, never going back there.

          2. My friend had booked a Black CBR250R ABS there, envision honda sales person assured us that they will get us a 2016 manufactured bike. They were quoting price that was 3k more than other honda showrooms in lucknow but we wanted 2016 made cbr, so 3k extra didn't bothered us. During 2 months of booking time, they tried to push two different 2015 models to us claiming them as a 2016 model. We finally cancelled the booking and went to aditya sky honda.

Even aditya sky honda near chinhat are very unprofessional. We went to their showroom with cash to actually purchase the bike, but they failed to find the keys of the bike kept at their showroom. We waited for a couple of days but they still couldn't find the key. Finally went ahead and bought a nov 2015 cbr250r abs from jugal kishore honda.

Service experience at jugal kishore isn't great either.

Radiant honda (i had purchased my bike from them) located near transport nagar is considerably better than these 3 dealers i have mentioned above.
Omg yes i test rode black cbr with golden decals.
Anyway i was planning to book myself one from aditya sky honda. Pearl white with abs.
          Radiant honda any better?

Update bout the battery disconnect: I've been doing the battery-disconnect-for 15mins every 2 weeks and each time I notice the acceleration for a given amount of throttle has increased, compared to before.

I tested this by going up the same hill both before and after the reset. Before reset, 17kmph, after reset 20kph.

My bike has never shut off automatically the past month. So currently I assume that this trick does something good.

Make sure they actually have the key of that pearl white ABS cbr this time around. Or else they may end up wasting your time like they did with my friend.
No issues faced so far with radiant honda. I will get my bike serviced (3rd service) from them this month. I will update my post with service experience.
There is no destination, I just want to keep riding.

They must have found it by now lol. I asked them that i want 2016 manufactured. They said they have it too. May be they have more than one in stock.

                • BMW 310 a worthy contender ?

                  hello guys,
was surfing the forums and I hear that the BMW 310r coming in October 2016 will be priced within 2 lakh bracket.
I made up my mind about the CBR 250 and this confuses me. should I wait to see how it turns out or go for the 250?

                    Hi,

Well it completely depend on your requirements because they both are close but there are few key differences for example

                    What is your main purpose
? If you want a bike for touring then CBR250 is the answer since it has visor if you want bike for daily commute then BMW will be answer since its naked bike.

After sales to be frank with CBR250 you have to find a proper SVC and mechanic and deal with that but on the bright side spares(wear and tear) are cheaper in its class and anyways all the gurus are already here for CBR250 . BMW is probably going to partner with TVS or may even go completely different way like KTM or Kawasaki while being in a relationship with TVS so there's that and spares for sure won't be cheaper.

Availability of spares this kind of matters to me at-least , I want my bikes to be in ready condition but if I go to showroom and spares are not available readily then it kind of makes me angry, this is the case with Benelli sometimes they have to wait for long time. Coming CBR250 most of spares are generally available either of the SVC's but we don't know anything about BMW yet so can't comment on that.

                      U got a point.
My greatest regret with cbr 250 would be them launching 300 in January with a marginal price difference. And BMW guys telling me great things about it and saying if only you would have waited.. 😐

Do you have any concrete info about the CBR 300? I'm getting conflicting replies around here..

If I'm not wrong, the CBR 300 comes with a twin-cylinder engine, and that won't come with a 'marginal' price difference!

                              Unfortunately you are "wrong".
CBR 300 has a single cylinder engine.
