  • Re: Honda CBR 250R

The new colour schemes sure do look good the bike. Saw the white one today and it grabbed my attention immediately. Also made the bike look big.

    Still, HMSI should've brought CBR300R.

Hey guys, i had posted last month about low coolant level in my cbr. Odo stands at 2300 kms. Last time i found out that the level was low i topped it up and after 600 odd kms its low again. So topped it up again yesterday. Checked the engine oil for foamy character but no, it's clean and golden brown. Can't find any leaks as of now. What might be wrong here??

2 things you can check from your side.
        1. Is the wire that goes from reserve tank to radiator connected properly and is it leaking ?
        2. Is your fan working properly ?

I had problem like this and turns out problem was with my fan dying and then cable just ripped off and poured coolant all over the place.

        • Honda cbr 250r 6gear problem

Hi, in my bike only in 6th gear I can't cross 8500rpm, even after open throttle for more than a minute does not help. In the remaining gears(1-5)I can touch the red mark I think around 10500rpm. 5gear reaches max speed of 148km/hr after I engage 6 gear the rpm falls to 8500rpm speed around 136km/hr and stays there.

It is the oe plug . And instead of slip on go with full system if you are going with ecu change or piggyback as this will unristrict the full potential of CBR.

Bro where is the tube that runs from reservoir tank to radiator located? I'll check it in the morning. The fan runs normally buddy. I suspect its the tube then

My bikes at 23000km, I change oil every 3000-3500kms max, might slightly reduce the interval if i do this, but ive read the stock spark plugs are iridium,Please let keep me posted on that, coming to full system, I'm planning to get a slip on, i have a header pipe but in mild steel, i have already posted before on exhaust change, but I'm planning to get a fibre glass slip on and use this header pipe .Also tuning, I'd like to reach the redline on the 6mth gear, beyond that it will destroy the engine which is obvious . A airfilter change , I'm gonna see the slight change, only after all these changes, will we see the unrestricted character.

The oe plug is an Iridium one, so don't worry. The oil change interval is also fine. After ecu, slip on and air filter you might see around 4 bhp increase.

                      Hi Guys,
The clip on handlebars of my cbr has started rusting due to rainy season. Do i need to worry about it? My bike is just 3 months old.

I don't have my bike with me right now but its simple to locate, you see the radiator cap right below that there will be small nozzle which should be connected to a black tube that tube goes all the way down via trellis frame to reservoir which is next to your right footpeg.

Nothing to worry all the nuts and bolts generally rust there's nothing to worry unless they come to the point where they cannot be removed by wrench or something because taking out rusted bolts is very painful process.
Just keep an eye if it seems to be too rusty then get it replaced.

My coolant level is the same for the past 3.5 years. Double check for leaks not just the ground, the bike also.

24000 kms or 2 years interval is suggested , change it.

It's 36000kms according to 2012 CBR 250 manual. I've already changed the coolant 3 months ago at 25k.

Im changing the headlight bulb, and I want to make sure I'm pulling off the right connector. Is this the one?

OK, quick question: is it possible to change the headlight bulb without removing the right side fairing?
