@.. theironhorse99
After your bike dropped at parking was there any scratch on the body surface which was not replaced ?. My front left shocker is a bit scratchy (2-3 small areas) and that will be painted partly by the SVC guy. Will it be good ?

Honda CBR 250R : CBR rim/wheel paint
close to 2 years and 20k+ kms i am bored of the silver alloys and planning to change the colour soon..
this first thought is matte black just like the newer versions which certainly looks amazing and will work out well with my 2012 tri-colour
however posting here to know options ...
Colour options :
1. matte black - last option and looks good.
2. same as the tank- pearl heuron blue - difficult to source- not sure how will it look or might make it ugly all together..
3. two tone scheme- front matte/satin black which will go well with Red mudguard and rear blue.. which will look sporty.
4. both wheels matte black with chrome lips- again not sure- also maintaining that shine might be difficult or it might look cheap.
5. few suggested golden--- naah ..not me..
i want something sporty but not on the side of loud/cheap/chindi...
if anyone can photoshop and help how diffrent colours might look like. it will be very helpful.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
HI All,
I Just migrated from Yamaha Fz to CBR.
Here's my query it might be little childish you may say but what I find little annoying is that I have to shift gears alot especially in traffic.
I don't like clutch driving never been my style but my confusion is when to change gears so that I won't damage anything I choose somewhere between 4000 rpm to 5000 rpm.
Is it ok to do the same even in first gear ?
Also I have observed I have very little clutch play (compared to other bikes) like half of it is it normal ?
Regards,
Mohan

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hello guys, I have a slight problem. I noticed a slight leak of engine oil on the left hand side of the head cover, near the gasket. and the engine has been sounding a little rough lately. i have done about 4200kms till now. When I went to the svc, the mechanic said it might be the piston problem. well, i think he is wrong as his first explanation was it was just some water, and i had to make him think how water could stay on such a hot engine without overheating. so, any of you guys faced similar problem, plz post me some inputs. thankyouBreaklessBiker

Welcome to the club. Looks like you are shifting bit early thus making too many shifts in your traffic conditions. It is perfectly OK to shift upwards of 5K rpm in any gear. With that you will remain either in 1st or 2nd gear in traffic. After some days you will start shifting around 5.5K to 6K rpm always. Initially it feels bit rough but you will get used to that mechanical feedback.
You mean you are shifting after pressing half play ?. You can set the play.
Ride safe.~shifting at 6K RPM

Lol, i'd say gold.. not the GOLD gold.. but gold goldOriginally posted by theironhorse99 View Postany help folks on this one... let your imagination roll.. help me out ..
- not too flashy a little matty ?, ive seen that color on a blue r15 and it looked NEAT and not at all flashy or jing bang !
Or just the good old black , satin would be better if you ask me!
Sorry.. I just am not the photoshop guy n neither do i have a pic that can help you decide. Even if the color is of high quality, a LOT depends on the quality of the workmanship to get it nice and right.
