Re: Honda CBR 250R
What I've come to know is that painting depends on the svc and it's painter, so it will probably lead to variations in prices and qualityOriginally posted by hypheni View Post" life is boring. its static, monotonous and depressing. Re: Honda CBR 250R
This depends on SVC.Originally posted by hypheni View PostNow my point is do all the Honda SVC have painting facilities or some of them has this. And will these be OEM painting ?
Most of the SVC want to sell spares so they ask owners to change the parts.
And some don't.
I am very upset with the Honda SVC in any part of Mumbai, don't know about the rest!
Here we have to line up between 8-10 for your service work or any work. Else they are kings and they will take the job as per their own will.
Still to be at the few first in the queue then it turns outs to be 7:00 am lining.
I am really fed up of this!!
Previously din't had issues with Bajaj and Yamaha.
Why don't Honda open more SVCs around the cities ??

Re: Honda CBR 250R
In my nearest SVC I couldn't find any one who is painting body parts though I'm still not confirmed the same by SVC manager where they have paint facilities or not.
Here at Kolkata Honda SVC take phone booking and prioritize booked customer. Don't know about all SVC but Dugar Honda SVC provides this facility. Moreover till last month this service was not available for Weekends, and now its available.Last edited by hypheni; 03-13-2014, 04:23 PM.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
While cleaning up my ride today morning, I noticed a crack about 4 inch long in the front fairing beside the left RVM.
attached pic for reference.
Please suggest if any body has changed the front fairing and what is the cost for this?
Also, I have zero dep insurance, can I claim it for this?
Kindly suggest.
Edit:
I am a new rider, got my ride this last december. However, the bike has never been dropped. Nor have I hit anyone or anything.
Possibly someone in the parking lot might have hit the RVM hard causing it to crack the fairing. But I didn't notice anything till today morning :'(

I believe this won't come under any warranty and all. I will ask the price on Tuesday as I will go to SVC for some parts replacement. BTW from which showroom you bought and whats your SVC ?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Every single bit is covered in dero zip insurance but just for that panel claiming wont make any sense also it will increase your insurance premium next year. It wont be anything more than 700-800 bucks.Originally posted by binarycodes View PostWhile cleaning up my ride today morning, I noticed a crack about 4 inch long in the front fairing beside the left RVM.

Thanks, please let me know.Originally posted by hypheni View PostI believe this won't come under any warranty and all. I will ask the price on Tuesday as I will go to SVC for some parts replacement. BTW from which showroom you bought and whats your SVC ?
I bought it from Dugar Honda.
So far, I have done 2 servicing. Both from Cloud 9, since its closer to my place.
Ok. If its within a reasonable amount then I guess its better not to claim.Originally posted by theironhorse99 View PostEvery single bit is covered in dero zip insurance but just for that panel claiming wont make any sense also it will increase your insurance premium next year. Re: Honda CBR 250R
there is nothing like once a year . you can do it multiple times but when you renew it next year the price you pay increases..Originally posted by binarycodes View PostThanks, please let me know.

Ex : 2012 my bike was new and was dropped by a kid in parking. The complete left side was gone and total of 9 parts had to be replaced. Total cost was close to 4k out of which 3800 I got back. Had to pay 200 bucks out of my pocket.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
So, prior to get Zero Dept Insurance coverage your Bike was investigated by the insurance guy ?. I heard if its not a major issue they don't give the coverage. And I heard, if we apply for Zero dep then next premium amount will be higher. Is that correct ?Originally posted by theironhorse99 View PostBasically covers bumper to.bumper. with 100% cost of parts and most of labour cost..

Re: Honda CBR 250R
For every showroom there is an insurance guy. I filled a form and called that guy as suggested by manager. He came and saw the condition. Asked me to fill the form of reason of damage (I said I tipped over) was more convincing than a 5-6 y old kid tipping a 160kg bike. The bill was paid by me and later I got a cheque as opted by me..else bank tranfer.. difference was between 200-300 bucks..Originally posted by hypheni View PostSo, prior to get Zero Dept Insurance coverage your Bike was investigated by the insurance guy ?. Also yes the next year price increases for insurance but worth it..
