Steering head bearings need to be inspected every 12K+ kms and if necessary, lubricated.

Overtightening will lead to loss of control/hard steering, that can be rectified easily. The recommended torque value is 39nm when installing the bearings, loosening them after moving the T clamp side to side a few times and finally re-tighten them to a torque value of 29nm. The steering stem nut has a torque value of 103nm. Of course, proper procedures (and torque values) are not followed at any SVC, so one should ensure that the work is carried out properly.

Normally, the cone set will last for a long time, however, if it was not installed correctly, it might go bad just within a few thousand kms (or even less).

Hey guyz, one question regarding the PDI: Because CBR doesn't come with a main stand, how did you check for wheel alignment at the time of delivery?

Is that even part of the PDI? Cause I've never seen any ASS check that.

Just want to try this, but have some concerns.

Will it impact anything. Now I cannot afford the yoshis and TBR or etc etc. Hence this option.

I will only change the slipon and not the entire silencer. Because I tried once, but it did not fit.

Anything to take care of before I seperate the slipon from the 220 silencer and any after effects on CBR post silencer change ?

          Thanks,

What do you want to gain from this mod? What is it that a P220 end-can capable of which CBR's stock can isn't?

Alignment can be checked via the old school way. Ride over a patch of water and see if both tires fall in line while riding straight.
Balancing is usually perfect on factory bikes but you can get it inspected at any car shops. SVCs usually don't have the machinery.

                Divya bhai,

Nothing to achieve out of it and I dont think we can extract more juice out of a single cylinder.

Just want a bassy sound, hence wanted to try.

If any cons related to changing the can or it will be waste of time ?

                Thanks,

I am not sure what it could be but it's not from the fork but from or beneath the fuel tank and sound is like a piece of metal/hard plastic lying in the tank. Another thing that I have noticed is that it is more audible when the fuel in the tank is 3 bars or more as per fuel meter and reduces once the fuel gets low to 2 bars. Any suggestions? I have tried to look into the tank but the level plate obstructs the view.

                  Thanks
                  Guys please suggest.

Wheel alignment isn't necessary on a brand new motorcycle. Plus wheel balancing is required only when your tires are removed from the rim, especially when installing a new set of tires.

220's exhaust is bassy agreed, but I don't think the end can of the 220 would offer the performance you're expecting apart from a different exhaust note. Plus, if you'll look closely the diameter of 220's exhaust pipe is comparatively thicker than Ceeber's. And this means a lousy welding job that'd make it look weird. Trust me, the stock exhaust is designed beautifully (of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder) but form and factor wise, it's beautifully crafted. Not to mention the note post 5k it's totally satiable, personally. In short it's a waste of equipment, time and money. Again you're free to read between the lines.

                    Ride safe.

                    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

This isn't the way to extract more from the engine. You'd end up screwing it. Plus as VJ said, the canister dia is different too.
Want more sound? Remove the snorkel attached to your air filter box. But be careful during monsoon.

                        - The new chain has a colorless lube that can certainly withstand for over 1000+ Km even in rain
                        - One has to CLEAN, CLEAN & CLEAN the chain thoroughly to get the same silver/aluminium color on the chain (I use a little over quarter can of Motul for every clean & the entire Motul can only lasts for 4-4.5 times)
                        - The black color in the chain indicates the amount of dirt that it has accumulated over the time which can be removed ONLY if cleaned well, I clean it like...
                        1. Spray the cleaner mildly over the chain so that there's enough cleaner on the chain
                        2. Use tooth brush (best is grunge brush) & brush off link by link so that the black chain becomes even blacker & at the same time cleaning the brush for every few links
                        3. Spray the cleaner over the links hard so that the dirt is blown away from the links & you can start seeing the steel/silver/aluminium color on the chain
                        4. Clean the brush/use a new brush & once again brush mildly over the links & at the same time cleaning the brush for every few links
                        5. Repeat step 3 & then wipe the chain with a clean cloth

Guaranteed to get sparkling chain every time if you follow the above steps
