Is it true thay production of this bike has ceased? If yes, would it affect after sales services?

I was told by the showroom guys 2 months back that production has stopped. In such cases, the manufacturer is liable to provide spares upto 5 years of discontinuation of bike. But the time it will take to reach you will be huuuuge!

          Chain Issue:

The chain has been making noise for some time now.
Yes, I have got it tightened.

The problem is certain length of the chain runs has slack where as the remaining length has no slack.
So, tightening the chain has to be done according to the no slack region. But then the slack region will have a lot of movement than usual.

When the no slack region is in contact, it makes a "kar " sound.
When the bike is moving, it makes.. kar.. kar.. kar.. sound. As the speed increases so does the frequency.

          Can someone help ?

          Thank you in advance.

My cbr is made in Feb 2015 while many automotive sites saying production stopped in Sept/Oct 2014. All companies are liable to provide spares for 10 yrs after a bike discontinued. Afterall upcoming cbr250r/300r shares 80-90% of components from current one
So I feel the availability of spares won't be that difficult

The balance mark/dot on the tyre needs to be in line with the valve.

Slack in some portion of the chain and absence in the remaining portions means that the chain life is over. Kinks are another phenomenon that have similar symptoms.
If I have understood your problem correctly, then getting a new chain sprocket set is the only solution.

Haven't you been adjusting slack regularly? How come you have that elastic effect on the chain?

I tighten the chain every 1000kms.
This is my third chain set and its the first time I am facing this problem.
I guess, I'll change the chain set and check.

Is it a good idea to opt CEAT Zoom 110/70 R17 for the front wheel where Michelin Pilot Sporty 140/70 R17 running at back (3k kms old) ?

If you're still hell-bent with saddle bag...stay off from Crapster & may be Dirt sack should do justice or if you want bigger capacity (like 15+ day trip) Rynox.
