I've a Keiti on my tank pad for nearly 2 years now; the tank pad has lost its shine & looks very dull (bought from Planet DSG as well). Before that I had one from PRS Bombay, not sure about the brand name & it was awesome & looked like 6 months old tank pad for over 1.5 years. All said, I like to try the economic option from HMSI showroom for Rs 300 next time.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Had my first fall yesterday negotiating a turn near home, while coming back from home.
Damn dogs chasing from both sides led me to a water clogged pothole and bam to the left side.
Gloves and helmet did their best so only the left knee got badly bruised.
Side fairings top side came off and the gear lever got bent.
Any idea how much the side fairing costs? The one that connects, the tank to the large side fairing.

Better get that knee inspected by a physician. I ignored mine after a fall in which the knee was jammed between the pavement wedge and the bike, pain lasted for over 3 months and now it comes and goes, can't put full load on that leg anymore. So better safe than sorry, and get yourself a decent pair of knee guards, the cramster one sucks.Motorcycling Experience:

Vijay has it on his CBR, looks decent. If you're worried about zipper marks then try the more economical Pulsar ones, the OEM one costs less than 100 and is cheaper than the fake replicas for some reason. Been doing well on the ZMA and P220.Motorcycling Experience:

The parts listed as cowl are the ones you're looking for.
I didn't have to replace the bigger side fairing which covers the engine. Only the smaller section on either side of headlamp unit.Last edited by New guy; 04-30-2015, 09:54 AM.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Have been using the HSMI pad for over a year now. Doesn't look as great as the more expensive ones like Keiti, but is definitely good VFM. Had tried a couple of local pads, which peeled off over a month of use. The Honda tankpad is still going strong after a year of rain and sun. That being said, the P220 tank pads are a tad too small but have great durability for 80 bucks.Originally posted by aargee View PostI've a Keiti on my tank pad for nearly 2 years now; the tank pad has lost its shine & looks very dull (bought from Planet DSG as well). Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi guys,
I bought this used CBR250R and just got one key with it. The previous owner had lost the other key. I need to get another key made for this. Should I contact the Honda dealer for this or should I just get the key made by any roadside key makers? I am a bit concerned about the roadside key makers as they are not very trained and while making a key, they insert the unprepared key multiple times into the ignition to check which might damage the lock so wanted to check with you guys.
Thanks

Re: Honda CBR 250R
If you want you can just change the entire key set. It might cost around 2500 bucks, because it cost me around that much for my 150R. It could be more expensive for the 250R though. You'll get two new keys and a new fuel tank cap.Originally posted by Raminder_Singh View PostHi guys,

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Simply buy a key blank from service centre and get it machined from a key maker with a profile cutter.Originally posted by Raminder_Singh View PostHi guys,

Cost me rs 251/- for the key blank and rs 100 for machining around 2 yrs back. The key is still working.
Make sure you use both keys equally, alternating usage every few months.
New Keyset for the 250 is upwards of rs 9000/-Last edited by New guy; 05-02-2015, 09:50 AM.
