That's the funny part da.
The dealers are quite ignorant of the fact that such a tyre option exists and all they are getting are the Contigo version,
only a few bikes in bangalore and some other place has had the MRF from factory, probably a test or something by the Honda guys, maybe we can see the first quarter of 2014 models with the new better MRF.

Lol. Thats the problem with the dealers. The bikes comes, they sell it. They bother nothing above sales.

Ceat zoom with H rating is now available in 140/70/17 size. Supposed to be medium compound.

I finally made a better arrangement for fitting the aux lamps. Here are the pics of the fitting...

Yes, I had to drill four holes on the visor, but it's a sturdy mount and I have some ambitious plans of converting it into a 2-way mount, so that the lights can be mounted on the exterior and a smartphone can be setup as a navigator inside the visor as in the pic below:

Now pics of the mounted LED:

looks good and neatly done job. i havent checked the last few pages however eager to know the reason for the mod : short throw etc etc..
i am always eager and ready for cheapo functional mods and yes the 2 way phone holder is of my extreme intrest.

+100 for Osram NB. i can vouch for them. also would like to add that i found Osram a notch better than philips for the beam spread and light intensity.

Medium compound seems ok. But still, would love to see a soft compound tyre from some manufacturer.
have heard that Ralco tyre also has the stock CBR configuration , and is supposedly derives the technology from Pirelli.

theironhorse99 Bhai, you can find a full review here : http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...ml#post1024182

Basically, the NB's are bright, but their throw wasn't far enough and occasionally while riding narrow/bad roads at night, I felt the need for a strong, spot beam to light up the road far ahead of me. That's when I came across these "zoomable" projectors on DX. However, after mounting and some extensive testing, I found out that it didn't serve the original purpose, and I earned lot of nasty glares from other drivers who were blinded by the glare.
So now I use the aux lights as a low beam to light up the road just ahead of me, and have upped the NBs by a notch for better throw. That way, I no longer use the NB's low beams anymore, and turn on the NB on high beams only when needed.

As of now the smartphone dock is still a diagram on my lappy. I have identified a few parts, but it'll surely take some time. The biggest glitch is that it blocks the tacho partially. See image below. (pardon the image, its a very rough sketch from some images I got off the web, put together using the most basic tool, mspaint :P

BRAKE CHECK ALERT

In the past fortnight, I have seen three bikes with COMPLETELY worn out rear brake pads. The metal plates of both surfaces - the inward caliper and the outer knuckle have touched the disk and are themselves acting as pads. In all three cases, the disk is rusting. The riders seem completely ignorant to the issue else would have replaced the parts.

In Case 1, both front and rear pads were worn out. In Case 2 and 3, only the rear pads were gone.

Please incorporate a quick pad check as part of the first parade list.

Same case here too. Some think owning an expensive bike gives them a better image in the society. Plastic bikers. I mean who would ride like that ? Or maybe newbie riders ?

icemang sir after reading your post i now remember a cbr 150r a few months back when i went for my bike servicing. this guy kept running the bike like disk brakes gonna last him forever and trust me i have never seen such a destruction of the disc plate in real life besides internet pics. both the discs were like scratched to depths like few mm. one who rides his bike everyday or atleast have got the disc pads changed once in the lifetime will get to know the first time he/she hits the brake pedal/level that the pads are gone. the feel is completely diffrent.

the pedal becomes like rubbery with no return feedback. the read pedal gives those coarse vibes and the sound...

as pointed out by @ Ivin its just those wannabe motorcycle owners who buy the machine for the pose value and not for the joy of motorcycling...

Yes, H4 are the ones you should be looking at. They are a direct fit.
Apparently I was a bit confused on the color temperatures. Snapdeal lists the Crystal Vision at 4300K and Xtreme Vision at 3000k. Depending on your preference of color temperature (whiteness), you can go for the above 3000k units (which will be "normal" Halogen-Yellow), or opt for the 4300K ones which are slightly whitish (but not Xenon-White)

Had my 2nd servicing yesterday. Changed Engine oil, Oil filter, topped up coolant. After riding it a few kms I found some burning smell coming out from the engine area along with some little smoke. Also today I found a few drops of oil leakage from that area during my way back to home from office.

What could be the reason ?

Could be some spillovers. Check for oil spills on the engine surface and the exhaust pipes. If there is any spillage, wipe it clean with an absorbent cloth after the engine and exhaust pipes are cold. Also, Inspect the drain bolt and the inlet plug properly to check for leaks.
