    look who is back ?????

did you get the GT650 ??

every motorcycle has its ups and down.. after all its a mechanical part with 100's of moving parts inside.
mine and other friends are done 20k,30k and evn 40k+ without any clutch issue infact even without clutch cable change besides mine.

now the issue is with the SVC.. if the clutch it showing same issue. i'd suggest you go to service center. be upfront telling them the issue else you'd file a complain as the clutch should easily last 35k... sit there and get it done in front of your eyes. not necessarily its the clutch plates.

can be either of the clutch/steel plates or just the springs ..

cbr 300 , 500 arent coming to India anytime soon.. trust me.. forget bout 650F... it ain't coming anytime close..
cam and LCD on the CBR/Bull ??
do you realize those screens are not made for daylight visibility and to be used in car/indoor use..
also the cam wont be running all the time its useful only for parking in closed/controlled environment
with very little light out of those tiny LED's

how do you plan to use the screen & cam setup : daytime- screen is useless and impractical.
night- cam is useless and likely you'd be cursed with unwanted glare to the folks trailing you from those useless LED's

above all. if you park it in a public place i am sure someone will steal that LCD screen...

Yes .... I have the same opinion .... the cam and display are not safe ... are you planning to install the cam on rear fender ? Then the visibility will be very narrow ... and you will not be able to see the vehicles on your left and right sides ... If you want to change the looks then go for a premium RVMs in carbon fibre finish with led turn signals ...

hey theironhorse99...How are you? ya i also hope honda doesn't bring in any thing between the CBR 250 and the CBR1000 ..why....it will only increase customer dissatisfaction.....went to honda ASS....asked about the RVM...they guy thought for 5 mins ..and told me "out of stock"..i burst out laughing at him...he was looking at me as if i did some crime...honda (they dont deserve a capital "H" any more) is only good in selling and mentioning 100 cc bikes and they should stick to it...
about the LCD...and cam..ya ill do it just to see how it looks....not getting RVM eliminators for CBR..without it it will not look good.....night driving..with CBR...no thanx....too many pulsars sold to too many young boys (not men) by Bajaj....i prefer my Vespa fo night.
LCD might get stolen....ya ....but i am working on a clamp when i just slide the screen and it works...when i park the bike i take it along....like a cell phone...
                    purchased a 12V socket...will install it soon....will power a cell phone charger ...
                    umm...how much for a 110/70 front conti?

Got the first service done at 750kms (1 month completed) and i'm disappointed with the service experience. The service centre didn't have the oil filter, their washing unit has been shut because of some issues with the municipal corporation. All they did was change the engine oil and lubricate the chain. Total service bill: Rs. 925/-

When I asked the service engineer whether they use mineral oil or synthetic oil, the mechanic seemed confused at my question and all he could say was that they use Honda engine oil. I had to ask him to show me the bottle to confirm which oil it was. Chain cleaner and lubricant used didn't seem to be of good quality either. Noise can be heard from the chain while riding.

I showed them some uneven panel gaps around the front fairing, tank and rear seat cowl but they say that its normal and that most bikes have that right from the time they're fitted. I was surprised at their answer and I hope these gaps don't start vibrating with time to come.

All in all, this wasn't expected from Honda.

Most of the svc personals are not trained properly to handle the high end bikes.

The oil filter not being changed for first service is a pretty bad thing to do. Try to source the oil filter elsewhere and get it changed.
Also, chain sound could very well be improper chain slack. Do keep a eye out for that too..!!!

Panel gaps are not common, again, find a good service center and take the bike there.

You could enquire in the delhi threads and get to know which svc would be the best.

Should i get the filter changed right away? Wouldn't that mean changing the engine oil again as well? Or should I ride for say another 1000kms or so and get a full service done (engine oil, filter, washing and chain lubrication)?

If you have clean container and a dust free environment where you can drain the oil, you may use the same one. But it is always advised to use new oil.
And moreover since it is the incompetence of the svc center, try mailing Honda CC and get them to do it for free.

I don't know whether you can remove the filter without draining the oil in a Honda engine but if you can then I don't think you'll need to change the oil again. Moreover, changing the filter along with the oil is strongly recommended... Every time.

Any idea who I could write to along with the CC? I've already written to them about certain things twice in the last 1 month and haven't got any reply from them. I wanted to copy someone senior on the trail mail.
