Re: Honda CBR 250R
While this works for you, I believe its illegal by our road law to have fog lights installed more than 1 meter above the ground. (I remember hearing/reading this long back)Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostI tried to fix aux lamps many ways on my CBR, but they sooner or later came off. So, I found a permanent fix for them. Got an FZ regi plate clamp, cut into 2 pieces and welded a curved sheet plate between both ends - kept the measurement equal to the distance between mounts of mirrors. Since then I did not even need to tighten any bolts. Attached are some pictures of the same.
Plus flood lights at this height is extremely irritating to the oncoming traffic no matter how low you set their beam.
Regards.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
What I meant by that was, try loosening the bolt of the lamp and turn the unit left or right, adjust them at the suitable angle, and then tighten the bolt/nut of the aux lamp, this way it should help you get a good beam spread. If you can do it vertically also, you can try fiddling with it. It's basically just DIY adjustment.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostHi. Could you explain? Sorry but I didn't quite understand it.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Left side mount quite easy - on saree guard mount. All you need to weld a metal strip on existing frame which comes with box. Needed to drill 2 holes on frame.Originally posted by Manan View PostCould you show pics of the mounting points?
Below it the pic of left side. There is an extra strip on bottom which is bolted in footped.
Right side is a bit tricky. I did cut 2 cuts (actually heated the metal strips and just put on plastic parts - one near battery and another near tool box straight to grab rail mount bolt and rider seat bolt. Made those clamps and mounted on said bolts. Used 2 gudgeon pins as spacer to align box with left perfectly. Added another metal strip on bottom to support the box. Below are some pictures for your reference.
To align the rider seat, again added 3 washers on the left side bolt to match the height of right side - as 3 mm angle was added on it. It's perfect now.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
New problem guys - the console shuts off when I try to start the bike, or put on headlights. When i turn on the key to ignition, and thumb the starter, there is a small chick sound from the middle of the bike, and the console goes blank. The console comes back after a few minutes.
Battery voltage is 13.05 volts.

Clean both the terminals on battery and reconnect the wires to check if it resolves your problem.Originally posted by leech View PostNew problem guys - the console shuts off when I try to start the bike, or put on headlights. Thank you so much! It worked!Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostClean both the terminals on battery and reconnect the wires to check if it resolves your problem.
I did check the connections before, but since the wires were making contact, I figured something else was the problem.
The positive wire was making contact, but the screw was slightly loose.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Better use motor oil or WD40. Chain lube spray is too sticky - may jam your clutch operation.Originally posted by hypheni View PostJust a quick question regarding monsoon caring. Can I use small amount of chain lube spray to gear lever and RVM joints for a smoother operation?-----
