If that dent is small, it can be rectified by using a strong dent puller from a local shop good at tinkering. Considering the dent, at least from the picture, I think it isn't that big, it can be mended and then touched upon. Bigger dents might require removal of the tank and sometimes require to be blowed using compressed air, though not all do this. First get it checked at a local shop and check if it can be solved using a dent puller, it should be mendable.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Ensure that the rear caliper is moving freely in the mounting pins and pads are not dragging the brake disc. 6500 kms for a brakepad change is earlier IMO.

And also how to Reset ECU in CBR250R
I have Akrapovic carbonfiber slipon exhaust on my bike, it comes with db killer, not very loud and it is a direct fitment, no issues at all. I also have KN replacement airfilter, ka2511. But seriously after spending 40K for this but it is not much gain in output hardly 2 bhp overall gain and 5 kgs weight loss.

Can you share some more details on this relay and the switch(trigger) to operate the fog light. Pics of these will be more helpful.

Use both brakes, most of the braking is done by front brakes, upto 90%.

Guys, will there be any problems if a tube is fitted? I'm on a tight budget right now and can't afford a new tyre.

Check earlier posts about p220 brake pads. The picture of the brake pads with the part number is given.

6500 kms is too low for rear brake pads. It's supposed to be between 12-24k kms. Please check if you are resting your foot on the pedal while riding. I also use rear brake most of the time, but my OEM pads lasted for 25,000 kms and the p220 pads are going at 15,000 kms with quarter life remaining.

Question for bike experts : I left my bike in a open garage with only ceiling for two days, an the chain developed rust spots all over, and the front and back disks had brake pad shaped rust marks, and squeaked while moving it for the first time. Monsoon season in Kerala now. Is it normal for all bikes, or just the CBR?

Circuit diagram to connect 4 pin relay

I took ignition operated +ve supply from this pin in red circle to trigger the relay. Putting on/off switch connect this supply to code-86.

For a temporary use it isn't a problem. Tubed type tires on a tubeless tires an cause friction between the inner walls of the TT tyre and the tube itself and result increased temperature and can cause a puncture induced due to friction. For temporary yes, get your tires replaced to TL type proactively.

I am sure that I don't rest my foot on pedal while riding. I used brakes on the CBR the same way I used my brakes on RC 200 and that too had bybre setup with the brake pads lasting for at least 14K kms (which I changed just before selling it).

Will there be any other root cause for this low life of pads?

Seen the same on Dominar, moisture is the culprit. WD40 and lube will do the magic

                              Hey there gang!

I've completed 3.5k km on Suzaku so far, most of which have been piled through rides. There's very little city mileage on Suzaku. Last Saturday, I went on a 600km joyride to Chickmagalur, with one stop at Vani Vilas Sagara dam. The roads are high speed roads for the most part. You will have fun on this route if you enjoy riding hard and all out. For most of the ride, Suzaku was composed, but on the last leg, I could feel the engine harshness set in. Looks like it's time for a second oil change. I considered changing the oil myself, but since it's only the second oil change and the last change was at 700km, I figured the oil filter also would need a replacement, so I'll be taking him in to the service centre sometime in the next week. Time and again, I find myself marvelling at how amazing the brakes on the CBR250R are. It gives me confidence like nothing else ever has.

The ride was really exciting as I pushed myself to find my limits on the bike. Empty, clean roads were like a boon. The twisties in the Chickmagalur area were a pleasure to navigate, even thought the roads were wet and it was raining on and off. The MRFs surprised me again. I didn't pull any street Rossi moves, but the few decent looks I got a corners were reciprocated very well by the suspensions and tires. While I'm happy with the general feedback I got from the suspensions, I did find myself looking for that 'something missing' in it. I might just get the fork oil changed to 20w Motul and lower the front a little, as recommended by many. The diving front really makes it challenging on the body to ride through the ghats. The more I ride the bike, the more I feel like getting rearsets for the bike. The current footpeg position just feels a little awkward, considering how I like to sit at the back of the seat, and my decision to drop the front a little.

All in all, I've had the best time of my life on Suzaku in the last 5 months and 3500km. My abilities as a rider have definitely increased. ABS has never come into play so far, which is a testament to how good the brakes on the CBR are, not a testament to how good my braking is. While I've gained a good understanding of braking and improved my skill at braking, which I'm discovering to be the most important skill a biker can have, I have a long way to go before I'm satisfied with myself.

As always, no posts without pictures. Here are pictures from the ride:

Just wondering whether we should use WD40 on our CBR o-ring chains. Some peoples says that it can ruin Chain and Lockset. What's your view on the same?
