Re: Honda CBR 250R
In red : Price estimates, since I have already done my research when this TUNING bug bit me.Originally posted by Siddhanth Paul View Post1. Quickshifter (saw one around 15k, after converting from $) : Are you sure post importing it will still be 15k
2. Rear seat cowl : Will not add anything in performance, costs 3k onwards
3. Double bubble windscreen : Costs 2k onwards, branded one are costly.
4. Lightweight rims : Costly, trust me
5. Full sys exhaust : Need good tuner who can adjust everything post installation
6. Proper ECU tune : You would need new ECU , 20k onwards again
7. After market clipons and rearsets : Rearsets are already 10k onwards, almost same for clipons.
8. Lightweight fairings, if available: 25k onwards on ebay/aliexpress, lightweight or not, that is the question
Just exhaust and ecu would need a good mechanic , and trust me in India, we have very less people in that segment. Also if you have that much money to plunge into this segment do go through Shv18's thread about tuning once.
Also give this point a thought : Why not get a bigger cc bike and have peace of mind.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Go to Thailand, you get all these parts for dirt cheap and the quality is still top notch , I am considering modding my bike extensively only when I get a scooter and a bigger bike, my cbr will become a track tool, have already a track spec cbr being put together from scratch , might make my own free flow exhaust , but for the moment I think I'll stick to stock , tho I don't mind putting in a juice box with the stock setup itself.Originally posted by Siddhanth Paul View PostI was in a doubt regarding the fuel controller and the ecu cuz my budget is low, around 20k, as of now.
And yeah, shifting from aftermarket to stock, the stock one is more soothing to the ears and the note feels very smooth.
I was also thinking that if I'm able to maintain this bike for 7-8 yrs. more, I'll make it a project bike. *Just saying*
I'll then mod the bike from ground up, only on the condition that I have at least 2 bikes more.
Some of my thoughts include-
1. Quickshifter (saw one around 15k, after converting from $)
2. Rear seat cowl
3. Double bubble windscreen
4. Lightweight rims
5. Full sys exhaust
6. Proper ECU tune
7. After market clipons and rearsets
8. Lightweight fairings, if available

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Which Aux Light have you used? What's the wattage? Did it require any modification to stock electrical?Originally posted by bala13 View PostBracket made to fit auxillary lights on CBR's. This auxillary light bracket fit's between number plate & number plate bracket.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I am using U7 spot light, 15 watt each, 3000 lumens light output. I took power source directly from battery using 4 pin relay. To trigger the relay i took source from front brake light limit switch & put on/off switch in series. So light will on only when ignition is on. Modification in stock electrical not required!Originally posted by hypheni View PostWhich Aux Light have you used? What's the wattage? Re: Honda CBR 250R
So you routed the relay through the front brake positive wire to trigger the relay, so that it's ignition operated? Is that what I am inferring from your post?Originally posted by bala13 View PostTo trigger the relay i took source from front brake light limit switch & put on/off switch in series. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Could you share more details and pictures of the bracket? I had to install mine on the side indicator bulbs. More pictures and details about the bracket will be helpful for me. Thank you.Originally posted by bala13 View PostBracket made to fit auxillary lights on CBR's. This auxillary light bracket fit's between number plate & number plate bracket.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yes, but I don't know the specific name of that switch, the switch which gets pressed when we pull front brake lever. This switch have 2 small wires connected by pin, one is ignition operated +ve. One of my friend fitted mobile charger by taking +ve from that wire on CBR250 & it's ignition operatedOriginally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostSo you routed the relay through the front brake positive wire to trigger the relay, so that it's ignition operated? Re: Honda CBR 250R
Friends, need some help here...
My Cbr's Rear brake pad worn out completely it seems...
when i step on to the brake pedal there was only some vibrations on pedal like the pads are hitting the rotor....
Somewhere I read that Pulsar 220 brake pad is a direct fit to the CBR rear pad..
So if I use that then will warranty get void in any way?
One more doubt
My bike's odo is hanging around 6500 kms now
Am I using the brakes wrong or the life of the brake pads are only this much
Thanks in advance

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yesterday someone at office parking hit my bike and a dent has appeared at the right side of fuel tank. I always park my bike at a corner but yesterday didn't. And I got the gift from some non sense people. Now can anyone tell me what are the scopes of getting it repaired. Image is below.
