Re: Honda CBR 250R
The stock is 10w which is comparatively softer. Use 20w, and the front end feedback is very much improved and she doesn't dive as she used to do earlier. Slightly harder yet comfortable.Originally posted by pushu097 View PostHello!
Anybody using motul 20w fork oil in their cbr? How is the feedback and ride quality?
How well is the glue adhering to the fuel tank? Are they gooey types, which leave residue on the tank in case of peeling, just how strong are they when it comes to non-peelability. There have been cases where the pads themselves unstick due to cold weather and what not, any thoughts on that would be helpful.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostHere is the video of the installation of Tank Grips. Sorry for the bad audio as it was shot outside

3M glue it is, still there on the tank, the heat from tank and whole day in open parking in office, its holding strong. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hello everyone. Last evening I received my package for the AllExtreme u7 fog lamp. I've got it fit on my bike but since it was a bit big, there were no space to put at except for on the turn signals. But now the issue is, the lights when beam up the road, they intersect each other and cross lights each other. If you can think of a better place then please let me know, I'll post the pictures with the lights on soon.

I haven't got any auxiliary lights myself, but right under the headlamps, by removing the license plate brackets seems to be a crowd favourite. Kind of like the new R1 and R6. It's roomy and almost a perfect fit for these lights.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostHello everyone. Last evening I received my package for the AllExtreme u7 fog lamp. Re: Honda CBR 250R
I am planning an engine oil change on my bike very soon and switch to Shell Advance Ultra full synthetic. While I am aware that the engine oil capacity is 1.5L, I am not sure whether previous oil change by the first owner was mineral oil or synthetic oil. What would be the best way to in this case to ensure old oil is drained to the max and does not mix with the new one? Will the oil capacity to be filled change in this case?Yamaha RX 135 (2001-2003)
CBZ Classic (2002-2011)
Karizma ZMR (2010)
Yamaha R15 V2.0 (2013)
RE Classic 350 (2015)

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Though i don't own cbr... But for best draining of engine oil use engine oil flush... Generally available for 100-150 rs... Search for engine oil flush on Google.... Add the flush to the old oil... Run the bike for around 10 min... If you don't wanna go for ride then for 10 min let the bike idle... Give some throttle input...Originally posted by Sp!tfire View PostI am planning an engine oil change on my bike very soon and switch to Shell Advance Ultra full synthetic. After that let the bike cool for around half or one hour...
The drain the engine oil... Let it drain for half hour...
Voila... Fill the new engine oil...
Search online..
Hope it helps...

Don't worry about synthetic oil and mineral oil mixing. It won't harm the engine one bit.Originally posted by Sp!tfire View PostI am planning an engine oil change on my bike very soon and switch to Shell Advance Ultra full synthetic. In fact, 2 years back, I had Honda Throttle Fully Synth, Castrol Power 1Semi Synth, and Honda mineral oil all mixed up in my bike at 21,000 kms on odo.
No ill effects 20,000 kms, 2.5 years later. I don't ride much, but when I do, I wring it to 7000 rpm every time it's out on the road. So the urban myth of synthetic and mineral mixture causing engine damage stands dispelled.
Honda's tagline - The Power Of Dreams - is apt for CBR 250 owners, most of whom spend their time dreaming of when the spares would arrive at the SVC.Last edited by leech; 07-07-2017, 03:17 PM.

Remember, some amount of oil is and will always be present which they are required to. You cannot drain 100% of any oil. Make sure you drain the oil after warming up the engine properly, tilt the bike left, right and wait for some 10 mins. Clean the drain bolt, and screw the drain bolt first. Install the oil filter in the right direction and fill the recommended oil level 1.5l, you're all set.Originally posted by adityagaur51 View PostThough i don't own cbr... Using flush is not a bad idea either, but this is an easy method.
If you have lateral adjustment freedom, try switching on the aux lamps both and try moving them laterally so the beam is spread towards the side as opposed to merging and or intersecting at a point. Try this with both the lamps and try how it fares.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostHello everyone. Last evening I received my package for the AllExtreme u7 fog lamp. Re: Honda CBR 250R
I tried to fix aux lamps many ways on my CBR, but they sooner or later came off. So, I found a permanent fix for them. Got an FZ regi plate clamp, cut into 2 pieces and welded a curved sheet plate between both ends - kept the measurement equal to the distance between mounts of mirrors. Since then I did not even need to tighten any bolts. Attached are some pictures of the same.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostHello everyone. Thank you for sharing your review. I too was about to do that but later realised that it will blind the on-coming traffic, hence decided not to.Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostI tried to fix aux lamps many ways on my CBR, but they sooner or later came off. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi. Thought about those too, was actually planning to put there, but then the lights would touch the front fender/ guard if it hits any bumps/potholes. Hence had to move away from that.Originally posted by madhav766 View PostI haven't got any auxiliary lights myself, but right under the headlamps, by removing the license plate brackets seems to be a crowd favourite. Re: Honda CBR 250R
I am thinking to get rid of front signals, mirrors and thought to put a mirror with turn indicators, that ways I can have a place to fix my fog lamps instead of turn signals. Any suggestions on it?
Incase this helps in getting any suggestions, this is the size of my fog lamp.
