Buddy, just for information, can you post a picture of your brake pads which the mech says to replace? I have a doubt the mech may be scamming you to change parts unnecessarily. It happened with a couple of owners.

I am currently outside. I'll post the pictures of brake pads once I am home. And I agree to what you say, being the brake pads for abs version quite costly, the mech people often scare the customers by saying that the pads are worn out. But then I do feel the brake not so effective myself. Even though, I'll post the pics once I am home.
        Thanks for the reply.
        Cheers.

Got it for 480 Rs from a honda genuine parts seller in Bangalore. Fitted it myself with the align key provided in the tool kit.

            Hello Friends,

Need help for my cbr 250r 7000kms old .
Was facing handle vibrations and shaking when leaving hands on the handle bar between 70-90 kmph .
As usual SVC center have no idea what to do .
Went ahead and done wheel alingment using thread method , changed the front tyre still no go , done wheel Balancing at one Michelin dealer .still no go ..
After that changed both the tyres to PSD stock size and wheel balancing again .
Saw good improvement in terms of handle shaking and vibrations .Now all this checked without carrying a pillon .
Completed recent trip to Jaipur and all above issues was there even more pronounced .
The Handle bar vibration starts at 5.5k rpm and its very high. Bike does feel like wants to go above 5k rpm .
Also if I am riding at 4k-5k rpm I am hearing constant stiching sound coming from engine and during hilly rides heared some sound like some metal is hitting inside the engine .
After riding r15v2 for more than 32k kms CBR is a bit of disappointment in terms of refinement and top end .
In terms of comfort it is very good indeed

I checked the video but in your case theis noise is much pronounced at 4k rpm . Mine was coming when going uphill and kind of some clinking sound Inside the engine .
While checking your video I found this one .

For the video owner:- The issue was resolved by changing the shims and Chain tensioner .
I am not sure if shims and tensioner get bad at just 7k kms.

stitching noise : cam chain tensioner.
engine knocking - bad fuel else spark plug also variety of engine oil if changed.
handle shaking - coneset loose , low air pressure , chain misaligned , bearing else either of brake pad rubbing the disk. as tyres have already been changed. sometimes disk plate can also cause it. start with the coneset play first.

7k is too early for chain tensioner but there have been cases of bad tensioner batches with honda. also have you been using any other engine oil ? motul 300v specifically ???

I hope you've all been well. I see quite a bit of flooding problems going around! I wish I could provide more input, but I'm gonna keep a close watch in case I face it anytime soon. I've been doing a lot of reading in my spare time and I've always been a fan of Pratik sir's Ninja-san(recently crashed, sadly. I'm truly heartbroken). His dedication to that bike has always been an inspiration to me, and has influenced me to undertake exactly such a pursuit.

I'm still gathering information on various possible mods that we can make to the CBR and have recently become obsessed with making a modern digital dash for the CBR250R. Has anyone here fantasised about having an uber-cool all digital dash on the CBR? I looked a lot, but I couldn't find any aftermarket digital dashboards for the 250R(sadly). The translogic microdash that Pratik sir used on Ninja-san is specifically made for the Ninja. I'm attempting to find out if it's portable to other motorbikes, but so far I've only hit dead ends on that end. Worst case scenario, I will embark on a pet project to make one for Suzaku.

Talking about mods, will some of you indulge me by sharing your fantasy mods roster? Mine's pretty far out there:
                  1. Full exhaust system - I really like the TBR Tarmac full carbon system.
                  2. A full exhaust system needs to be complemented with an equally good fuelling system, and by the looks of it Pratik's sir's Area P fuel controller seems to be doing a kick ass job.
                  3. I really want to remove the pillion foot rest pegs and stalks, the pillion seat and replace it with a seat cowl.
                  4. REARSETS! This is something I really want to get done right away. I am going to source a pair of rear set brackets ASAP and go ahead with shifting the stock footpegs. I'm simultaneously going to drop the front with 20W oil and little spring tightening to account for my weight.
                  5. Talking about the front suspensions, I've been looking up better options for the rear shocks too. I'm not really clear on this - is the stock monoshock adjustable? I don't see a tool to adjust this included in the tool kit! I may end up getting a performance exhaust after all.
                  6. Pratik sir dropped a majority of weight on Ninja-san by swapping out the bloody wheels themselves. I dunno if that's possible for the CBR250R, but I'm gonna look either way. Wheels and tires are a great way to drop unsprung weight. I do not know of any other way to do this, do any of you know about it?
                  7. I'm really considering investing in a pair of ceramic ball bearings for the wheels to reduce friction, thus decreasing loss in power and torque.
                  8. Pratik sir also changed the ignition coil and added an ignition booster. The mod supposedly boosts power and torque figures by a teensy bit.
                  9. I'm also considering getting the airbox and undertank insulated just like on Ninja-san. This prevents the respective parts from facing the extreme heat that builds up in the tight spaces that receive little to no air flow. A cooler engine is a happier engine after all!
                  10. I'm also very keen on replacing all the bolts on the bike with Lightech bolts. This dropped 250gm on Ninja-san. Very curious what it'll do on the CBR250R.
                  11. One of

On one of my exploration rides

you will end up spending a lakh and gain about 1.5 seconds off 0-100 and maybe another 5 hp extra. not worth imho for a 250.

                  1. Full exhaust system - - nothing less than 40k for a full system
                  2. A full exhaust system needs to be complemented with an equally good fuelling system, and by the looks of it Pratik's sir's Area P fuel controller seems to be doing a kick ass job. - another 20k plus maps according to weather and temperature and always on the verge of a blown engine for a 250 is not at rock solid as those inline 4's
                  3. I really want to remove the pillion foot rest pegs and stalks, the pillion seat and replace it with a seat cowl. - another 3k for the cowl.
                  4. REARSETS! This is something I really want to get done right away. I am going to source a pair of rear set brackets ASAP and go ahead with shifting the stock footpegs. I'm simultaneously going to drop the front with 20W oil and little spring tightening to account for my weight. - ninja 250 springs are direct fit however cheaper mods include shifting from 5w 331ml to 20w 350 ml and increasing spacer by 10mm.
                  5. Talking about the front suspensions, I've been looking up better options for the rear shocks too. I'm not really clear on this - is the stock monoshock adjustable? I don't see a tool to adjust this included in the tool kit! I may end up getting a performance exhaust after all. - set to softest you can change it from 5 to 3 and it will do just fine.
- those wheels would cost almost a lakh and make you go .02 second faster.
                  7. I'm really considering investing in a pair of ceramic ball bearings for the wheels to reduce friction, thus decreasing loss in power and torque. - nothing is gonna change dramatically on a 250.
                  8. Pratik sir also changed the ignition coil and added an ignition booster. The mod supposedly boosts power and torque figures by a teensy bit. - supposedly
                  9. I'm also considering getting the airbox and undertank insulated just like on Ninja-san. This prevents the respective parts from facing the extreme heat that builds up in the tight spaces that receive little to no air flow. A cooler engine is a happier engine after all! - another 0.2 hp maybe and we cannot change indian weather which is hot naturally most times of the year
                  10. I'm also very keen on replacing all the bolts on the bike with Lightech bolts. This dropped 250gm on Ninja-san. Very curious what it'll do on the CBR250R. - 250 grams hardly matter on 250 isn't it

"Wheels costing a lakh and .2 seconds faster" - this cracked me up.

Also one can simply remove grab rails, mirrors, cat converter, indicators, number plate, and the rear set pegs.

On the personal front, one can remove T - shirt (50g savings), and jeans(500g). A simple lungi/dhoti would not only help you win swadeshi points but also save on weight.

If the above doesn't satisfy, you can consider removing some unwanted body parts like one kidney(100g) and since the liver is a regenerating organ, you can consider donating a piece before you do a track day. Just 500g makes a huge difference to your timings.

Can you let why do you think there is an issue with the fan? Are you expecting the fan to start running when you start the engine?
By design, the fan gets switched on only when the coolant temperature increases above the threshold limit ( typically somewhere around 85-90 degC) and this helps in maintaining the coolant temperature in the normal working range.
As long as the temperature indicator in instrument cluster stays in the middle and does not reach "H" , your fan operation should be fine.

because in traffic engine temperature goes high and engine drain all the coolant. it happens second time in 15 days

- 250 grams hardly matter on 250 isn't it
                                Thanks Mate for the response.
I have asked multiple times to the ASC for checking the coneset if it has any issues .
All the time they loosen the bolt on the Handle Bar Plate and hammer the coneset tighting nut for losing ot tightening the cone play .
Each time either they make the steering hard or loose .
Is there a way to identify if the coneset has by physical verifying them . Like I can force the SVC person to open the coneset .

Regarding engine oil : No .
Bike is under warranty and have only used Honda throttle sythentic . Though I am not satisfied with it and the drain interval of 6k kms looks too much for the oil .
So bought Motul 7100 10w40 3 cans to change it a try in the service interval .

Also is it normal for the CBR idle RPM to rise to 1.8k-2k rpm in each crank. Even when the temperature bar showing 3 bars?
