Re: Honda CBR 250R
May be because nothing worth remembering happened apart from straight highways and constant riding non stop (700kms +150kms detour). The hills came at 12midnight , by that time it was pitch black to even record and post 21hours of riding and 1hour of sleep, all I wanted was to reach hotel and sleep.Originally posted by leech View PostFare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Usually all Honda ASS have painting shops as they are also supposed to attend to accidents and upgrades, all of which requires a paint shop. In some cases changing the fairing comes cheaper than getting it repainted as Honda fairings are quite cheap. Else get a local automotive paint shop or garage to do the same. Others members can chip in.Originally posted by JoshAraujo View PostI asked before, but no one ventured an answer.
Anyone know a good paint shop? Want to get my CBR painted black
Cheers

I'm also thinking of doing the same. Not found any shops as of yet. If you're based in Mumbai, Lemme know if you find one.Originally posted by JoshAraujo View PostI asked before, but no one ventured an answer.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi Everyone, I am Prashant and previously i have owned and ridden ktm duke 200. The ownership doesn't went smooth as the service cost here in bangalore was too high, as for each service i have paid approx 5k and after completing 41k kms (city as well highway) the engine got opened, despite keeping her like baby, so at last got it repaired and sold it. Meantime got second hand bajaj AS200 and sold it after doing leh ladakh this year as i was not satisfied with the bike capability despite it was less than 10k on ODO, as it has given hard time to climb khardongla pass.
Currently i don't have any bike and desperately looking for the new baby. There are 2 bikes in my mind, 1st is the Honda CBR 250r and 2nd is the Mahindra Mojo.
My requirement includes reliability on top priority as i want to munch lot of kilometers in it without worrying on the engine reliability and performance
and secound is the servicing cost, it should not be harsh on the pocket.
Which is the better among two? as on cbr 250r,i am getting discount from the showroom due to bs3 norms.
On the Mahindra mojo it is pricey and i have seen many new owners selling their new mojo in Olx, so is it worth to buy mojo? how is the reliability??
Please advise as i am totally confused and want to invest on a reliable partner.
And also there is a strict message from the Home minister to buy one and keep it for longer period of time... 8 to 10 years 🙃..
The bike will be used for touring and as well for the office commuting.
Please do help!!
Thanks, Parshu

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Parshu - sorry to hear about your Duke. Makes me glad I didn't buy one.
CBR vs mojo - Mojo wins on touring range, but the CBR 250 gives 350 kms a tankfull if you drive with a light hand.
CBR also has service advantage over the Mojo. More no. of SVC for Honda.
CBR is more fun around the corners. More lean angle than Mojo.
If you can get bs3 model, make sure the warranty is intact.
Manhindra has already shut down their two wheeler division, and only the Mojo is being sold and serviced. I wouldn't buy a bike just to keep it in the garage for want of spares and service.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Guys, I recently did a highway ride since getting the bike a few months back. I was surprised at how the bike vibes a lot after 5k RPM and at 90-100 kmph, this coming from D390 owner. The vibrations are felt most on the handlebars, seat and mildly on the foot pegs. Is this normal?
The bike is very smooth in city speeds but vibes at higher speeds just opposite of D390. Anything needs to be checked?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I second you on though, the CBR does feel vibey at around 5800-6000 ish RPM post which she is vibe free. Usually there is some mild vibrations felt at around 3k and then most of them on the upper rev band at around 6300 RPM. I'd suggest, you to use fresh engine oil if you haven't replaced your engine oil in some time, Shell Advance UX does a good job in that. But, yes all singles vibe at around certain RPM, call it a flat spot, usually at the RPM where the torque curve goes flat.Originally posted by Gunslingin_Ridr View PostGuys, I recently did a highway ride since getting the bike a few months back. Gunslingin_Ridr ... If you haven't changed your engine oil then change the oil along with the oil filter, check your air filter for much dirt (if yes, cleaning with air wash that SVC has will help, else you can always replace that). And if you read earlier, if you are a redliner then change to motul 7100 10w40 but if you are a pleasant rider, the shell advance ultra 4t 10w40 is best suited for.Originally posted by Gunslingin_Ridr View PostGuys, I recently did a highway ride since getting the bike a few months back. Re: Honda CBR 250R
In most of the comparison CBR will be the winner. There is one couple KiranSingh and Sachin who does a lot of touring and used to have one CBR and one Mojo. Recently was going though their triplog and found that they have replaced their Mojo with CBR for reliability.Originally posted by Parshu View PostHi Everyone, I am Prashant and previously i have owned and ridden ktm duke 200. Now coming to the power and safety, power wise Mojo will give you a bit more bump but what would you do with that extra power with single cylinder engine? And for safety CBR does provide ABS, that too dual channel, best braking so far on a 250cc segment and in this department no other manufacturers could beat Honda from last 6 years(CBR launched on 2011 with ABS).
If you can, go and grab BS3 model but as already suggested check for warranty and registration, as the bike must have registered in the name of showroom owner.
Lastly, do consider the CBR seating posture, it's not too sporty but puts a little pressure on your wrist and back, but that's a matter of practice till your body get adjusted.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
May I ask why the engine was opened ? Also why the 5k bill each service ? Was it for replacing some engine parts ? I would still suggest the CBR if you can get one. Also which showroom in Bangalore has bs3 stock ?Originally posted by Parshu View PostHi Everyone, I am Prashant and previously i have owned and ridden ktm duke 200.
