Hey need views on my CBR 250r question.

My CBR250r is 9 months old and from the beginning i have found that while changing gears there is quite a loud knock. This is specially in lower gears. Also randomly the gear will slip into neutral while shifting from one gear to the other.

I have heard that Honda Gear shifts are the smoothest but from my experience this is not true. The gears are not hard but they make quite a loud sound when shifting.
I brought it up during the service with the honda technicians and they keep adjusting the clutch and saying that this is normal.
Could other CBR250 owners please give me some views on this?
Is this sound and false neutral normal on CBR's?

I was using Pulsar 200 NS for past 4yrs.. Moved to Honda cos of the reliable engine and quality..

For some reason my expectation is too low after riding CBR daily to commute to office..

Bike feels sluggish and gear shift and are not smooth..

I usually idle my bike for 1~2min before taking it out in the morning.. Still bike feels sluggish..

And also engine feels harsh and too much vibration through out the bike.. the windshield and mirrors vibrate..

Bike is around 8months old and ODO is 4.3k kms..


I ride at max 60~80kmph and use all gears properly.. still the ride quality is bad..
my NS use to be very responsive and peppy to ride.. CBR feels sluggish compared to NS.

As my bike developed some issue and didn't crank at all - Details are here in this post , So I left my bike at the SVC for 7 days and after taking delivery I didn't ride much due to bad weather (rain and thunderstorm) here in Kolkata - Only Ride 40-45 km short here and there 15/20 KM for 2 Day so didn't notice this.

The issue is; Today I thought to lube my chain so I put it on the main stand and when I try to rotate the Rear Wheel it is hard to move by hand for an even single rotation...Last day (pre- Diwali Time) during my ride without the helmet at some internal road of my neighbourhood in the quiet afternoon I hard some 'Klich Klich' noise which generated near from the rear Axl which I thought then that it may need some lube....that's all....

So the Long Story Short my CBR's rear wheel is completely jammed...and I'm sure it is when the bike returned from the SVC it is not there earlier.

Now I know this for fact (as I experienced earlier) when I change my rear tire there is some parts at the rear Axl which not install correctly jammed the tire - I don't know the exact name of it....

My question here is it possible that parts are stolen by the SVC? - This SVC was trusted one and in past 2/3 times I left my bike there but now there are many new faces appearing every time I visit at SVC who may do something to my bike ...... here someone already mentioned the bike become donor bike for parts.


Please let me the know....the real issue here.

I recently bought a used 2014 CBR250R ABS with 16k kilometers on odo. I have to move to Chennai for my work and I've heard from a friend of mine who used to live in Chennai that there is no good servicing centers available for CBR and there is also an issue with parts availability.
Chennai based fellow riders could you please confirm me if this is true as I have no clue about this. If you could please provide locations of your trusted service centers that will be very helpful.

Drive down from bangalore (to kerala). And have been experiencing overheating issues since.
On the highway, it stays at three bars no problem. In heavy traffic, it climbs to five bars in 15 min.
I've changed the oil (Motul 7100 synthetic 10w40).
And checked the coolant level (which is fine)
I'm at a bit of a loss atm as to what's causing the heating problem.
Ive checked the fan and I don't think it runs at all any more even when the engine is hot.
Im apprehensive to take the bike to an ASC I don't know.

check the oil level first, when you changed the engine oil last? at present where are you in chennai now?

Did an oil change yesterday hoping it would solve the problem, it didn't. I checked the oil levels an hour ago, they're fine.

You can try didar motors in egmore, parts are there, I never faced a problem, within 2 weeks you should be able to get the other tougher parts I suppose. Also check out service plus in Anna Nagar, a professional service center run by a few friends who know and love what they do, do drop in check em out, they do pick up and delivery as well, they test ride your bike and even tell you the problems and take down yours and give a rough estimate and call you before starting any additional work.
