Re: Honda CBR 250R
Get the oil filter gasket replaced OR get threebond sealant and apply over old gasket and place it back. It would seal the leak. Don't worry about the oil drainage over night - it won't exceed over 80-100 ml. Do check the oil level in morning before riding to mechanic shop. If low, top it up.Originally posted by alliwanted View PostI changed engine oil to Shell FS and gave the mechanic YAMAHA fz oil filter to replace stock one. It didn't fit as we cover the shell and bolted and oil started oozing out. Then we installed the stock oil filter and covered the shell.
Still oil is coming out and again opened the shell and applied some glue so that oil stops coming out. We kept it to settle down and noticed oil has stopped so I started moving. After driving 30kms when I reached at a stop and noticed smoke coming out around from engine due to oil coming out of oil filter cover area. Oil has been spilled around engine bay, swing arm, tyres and waited there 10 mins and noticed oil is still coming out and dropping on ground.
I found it strange and am worried about in night oil doesn't drain totally.
What is the fault here? What can be done to solve this problem. Please help-----

Re: Honda CBR 250R
As discussed with senior, gasket wasn't installed and it was the fault of oil leaking. Forgot this element to install. Thanks for the input guys. Its not the Bike that makes a Biker perfect, its a Biker who makes his Bike perfect :)

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi, is it a direct fit? Or do we need to do some jugaad?Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostHi. The one with the DRL is I guess 40W bulb. And the one I am currently using is 35W. The throw is amazing. Especially when you use the pass beam switch. Everytime you use that, it looks like an Audi asking for a way. And since the bulb also gets a fan and relay, it is much better in the price range. I'll try to send the pic by tonight.

Buddy always check the manual book in that you will get the all the info on the parts that needs to be changed/replace at specific intervals.Originally posted by pinkesh2703 View PostMy CBR's 3rd service is near.
Need some suggestions on it that what should be changed or replaces.

And as you are the sole owner of your machine keep a tap on it’s behaviour, if you find any part that’s ruining your ride quality, get it replaced first as some parts can go off early were some can last long. 🙂

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi. No jugad. Its a direct fit. Only thing is that since the bulb comes with a fan, you can not put the rubber to cover it. Apart from that, direct fit and amazing beam. I was asked to send a pic of the light but am currently unable to due to work load. I will put it up ASAP.Originally posted by Rahul747 View PostHi, is it a direct fit? Thanks buddy! So is there any chance of water getting in if the rubber is removed?Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostHi. No jugad. Its a direct fit. Hi deathwing. I am also on the hunt for led parking lights. Until now I have found a Osram led lights on amazon costing somewhere about 800/- . but not sure as the price for the parking light seems too much for this budget.Originally posted by Deathwing View PostGuys any suggestions on brighter led parking lights? Also which Is the best brand of battery?
I've heard amaron is a good battery for the CBR. Or you can buy a new one same as the stock ones.
Amaron ABR-PR-APBTZ7L (6 Ah)
Exide FXL0-XLTZ7 (6 Ah)

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Thanks buddy, will check it, as for the battery, I suspect my bikes battery is at its end, it was last changed at 15000km on the odo, now its got 38000kms plus sometimes my bike's fuel pump doesn't switch on, took it and had it serviced and was told a change of battery will solve this problem. I think I'll go for exide, they offer a 2 and a half year warranty on the battery.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostHi deathwing. I am also on the hunt for led parking lights. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Adhering to what's in the manual, is your best bet. As long as you aren't facing any issues, that is worth mentioning in the job card. Owners manual is your best bet in giving you insight as to what needs to be looked upon the periodic service intervals.Originally posted by pinkesh2703 View PostMy CBR's 3rd service is near.
