That is actually great advice, I was thinking on buying a second hand standard Nissin caliper from eBay to swap it with mine, but I've heard the 200ns/rs rumor before,
caliper for both bikes look very similar and I doubt they make different moldings for internal parts, heck, even the steel braided line diameter is the same, I think it's 10mm

I got your message, could you please send his number over the same? or should I call the service center itself?

and I have a sticky piston with a protuberance not returning properly, hence sticking my front wheel

Mine is a MC42 standard, btw
Im willing to take second hand and pay for shipping and all

I've tried searching on eBay but apparently US market got a Nissin standard 2-piston caliper on non-abs bikes, instead of Bybre.
I don't know if the nissin pistons will fit my Bybre caliper :/
From what I know the CBR has two versions of NISSIN without ABS and NISSIN with ABS calipers for other markets. As Ivin noted, in your case if it's BYBRE (Indian spec models), the rear pads are a direct fit of the Bajaj Pulsar 220. I would recommend what Ivin has mentioned. But before that, take your pads and seals with you if you head to a Bajaj showroom so that you can cross-check the parts and see if they're interchangeable.

Cheers!

Ok guys, I left my bike a few days back at a friend's private service center, found out, a little bit of water had seeped into the tank, God knows how, my tank n pump was dried and culprit looks to be the fuel pump relay, will get it changed n see what happens, I hope no lasting damage was caused in the bike, will consider a fuel pump kits which I can put on, will see, probably know the status of my bike by Tomorrow or Monday.

Ok guys found the culprit, it was a very very small amount of water which entered the tank, luckily didn't damage my tank or fuel pump but fuel pump relay needs replacing by the looks of it, I'm quite thankful, nothing major or it would have really set me back.

@ Deathwing - I need some information, brother. Do you fill full tank to full tank, or do you top up ₹200-300 when low on fuel?

And why didn't we think of this humble relay in the first place. Electrical gremlins. Good find, and if I am not wrong, I do see oxidation in the pins on the relay. Nonetheless, replace your relay and keep your observations posted.

Cheers!

I top up 300-500 when on 1 bar, I don't ever let it start blinking, full tank, sometimes I do but not lately. Minimum I put nothing less than 200 but I hardly ride past 1 bar of fuel blinking. Well apparently my fuel pump is completely fine, tank n its been dried, will go in tomorrow with a new relay and see how what happens, left it at a friend's SVC which is closed on Tuesdays and open on all other days.

Will do, will give an update in the morning, I'm still a bit perplexed on how little water could enter my tank, are there any preventive measures for this? I remember riding when it was pouring, and just before I was going to give my bike for service it was giving me starting issues. I think some sort of fuel tap cover or something I could use.

I was going through your earlier posts on this issue where you mentioned "sometimes my bike's fuel pump doesn't switch on". Was this the only symptom or did you face engine "coughing" as well? Too bad that you had to replace the battery when the main culprit was the fuel pump relay...

I replaced battery and the magnetic coil, set me back 5000rs, but the battery was 2 years and 3 months old either ways, not sure how much longer it would last, and the coil was slightly burnt , I am attaching the picture below, I guess the SVC was wrong and couldn't find the issue, soo instead gave it to a friend's private service center called service plus, they got to the bottom of it.

Water ingress can be caused due to different sets of issues. First being, the fuel itself which can be contaminated, or a blocked fuel drain hole which could have caused water accumulation near the neck of the fuel tank, and subsequent refilling might have caused the water to seep in and contaminate the fuel inside the tank. Thirdly your fuel cap itself "can" be faulty providing poor seal which can cause water ingress. But nonetheless, keep your observations posted after the relay replacement and how the bike behaves.

Actually his stator was fried in the first place which led to poor charging of the battery which indeed caused a failed battery.

Deathwing - water can also enter due to condensation in the tank. Thus it's better to fill full tank, and then top up once the bars reduce to 3. That way, the tank wont be too empty for air to get in.

Which svc did you change the stator coil? Didar? Also, please let us know the time taken for the spares to arrive at the SVC..

TIA
