Re: Honda CBR 250R
Squirt WD40 into switch - you are ready to go. Always keep a WD40 can handy. If you don't have WD40 right now, use your aerosol deodorant/kerosene/motor oil.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostGreetings everyone.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Did you put wd40 directly into switch??? I am telling you to do this because of personal experiences. Yours is mere 7 months old, mine was standing still for last 2 years when I got it. Same issue with switch I confronted too - not only passing light switch, but turn signal knob was hard enough to move. WD40 resolved the issue. Actually contact points gets rusted easily due to exposure to water (washing/rain) and frequent lubrication is only way to keep them running longer. I didn't face any switch problem since then as I throw some ounces of WD40 after every wash. Even randomly - depends on my mood. WD40 is nothing but a mixture of kerosene and aerosol which displaces water and penetrates into jammed places. WD itself stands for "Water Displacement ". It has 1000 uses! I kill bugs too by wd40..Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostThank you for your input everyone. Went and showed at the SVC today. It seems the switch is a goner now. Will have to get the assembly replaced.
If you still wish to spend few thousands on your all good switch (IMO), you are free to go!Last edited by arvstreetracer; 10-26-2017, 11:18 PM.-----

Alright. I will give WD-40 a go. Hopefully it solves out the issue. Thank you.Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostDid you put wd40 directly into switch??? Re: Honda CBR 250R
If you look at the page for last week, I have posted the same problem with my bike. I was in an assumption that something really gone, I never seen flash light working since I bought this bike. The service engineer sprayed wd40, within seconds it's started working.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostAlright. I will give WD-40 a go. Hopefully it solves out the issue. Thank you.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hello owners and fellow members,
As my bike developed some issue and didn't crank at all - Details are here in this post , So I left my bike at the SVC for 7 days and after taking delivery I didn't ride much due to bad weather (rain and thunderstorm) here in Kolkata - Only Ride 40-45 km short here and there 15/20 KM for 2 Day so didn't notice this.
The issue is; Today I thought to lube my chain so I put it on the main stand and when I try to rotate the Rear Wheel it is hard to move by hand for an even single rotation...Last day (pre- Diwali Time) during my ride without the helmet at some internal road of my neighbourhood in the quiet afternoon I hard some 'Klich Klich' noise which generated near from the rear Axl which I thought then that it may need some lube....that's all....
So the Long Story Short my CBR's rear wheel is completely jammed...and I'm sure it is when the bike returned from the SVC it is not there earlier.
Now I know this for fact (as I experienced earlier) when I change my rear tire there is some parts at the rear Axl which not install correctly jammed the tire - I don't know the exact name of it....
My question here is it possible that parts are stolen by the SVC? - This SVC was trusted one and in past 2/3 times I left my bike there but now there are many new faces appearing every time I visit at SVC who may do something to my bike ...... here someone already mentioned the bike become donor bike for parts.
Please let me the know....the real issue here.

Re: Service center Honda CBR 250R
Hi, I have been asking the same question to people for a long timeOriginally posted by zeeshan300975 View PostHi all
Can anyone pls tell me which is the best Honda service center located in Delhi NCR for CBR 250R. I used to get the service done at Yume Honda Gurgaon. But for the last 2 services, I've noticed, it's not as good as it used to be earlier. Although it's the same guy who has been doing the service & general work from day 1. He's trained for CBRs.
Also, pls do let me know, if flashing the ECU, will make any difference to the current performance.
Thanks
but among all that I tried out, Ganpati Honda sec 19 seems pretty okay. My experience with Yume was bad. Anyone else from gurgaon/NCR who can suggest a better option?

Re: Service center Honda CBR 250R
Yeah, may I recommend to you Faridabad Honda. NIT 5, Faridabad. My experience has been very good with those guys. Ask for a guy named Upender in the servicing department. He'll be the best person to approach regarding CBRsOriginally posted by Kautilya Tiwari View PostHi, I have been asking the same question to people for a long time

Re: Honda CBR 250R
To be on the safer side, I change my oil filter every time I change my oil.Originally posted by Ivin View PostOil Filter needs to be changed every second service, provided you use the same engine oil. I would suggest you to use Shell FS for slightly better gear shifts. And do not give it to any other service centre if you are in Bangalore. Even I travel more than 20 kms one side just to get the bike to Karthik. He has all the parts in stock, all the time. yes, you read that right. So oil filter, brake pads etc are in stock. I would suggest you to get there before 8AM, finish all the needed things with service advisor, wait for Karthik. Heck, he even allows you to watch him work on the machine, there is a separate bay for CBR and seats to sit

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yes I do that for my every other bike . But for CBR, Honda only says its not required. I believe the parents know the kid betterOriginally posted by Deathwing View PostTo be on the safer side, I change my oil filter every time I change my oil.
Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

Re: Honda CBR 250R
About chain lube, Motul is pretty ok. If you want the best go with OKS/ Release On/ Tribocor/ Rolon.Originally posted by Ave2592 View PostHi. I'll try to answer as short as possible as per your numbers :-
1) oil filters are in stock most of the time.
2) when the job card is created, mention your works that needed to be done, including brake pads replacement.
3) the "THUD" sound you get when the engine rpm doesn't match the gear shift. Try engine braking a bit before shifting down (probably around 3k rpm).
4) 3M lube is good but then as much as I have searched around, and heard from lots of people, it seems that Motul Chain clean and chain lube are better than of 3M or Yamalube from Yamaha itself.
5)mention all your issues to the technician before he starts with your work and he might be able to get hold on the problem and try to rectify it.
Cheers.✌
