    1. Check weather the air filter is too much dirty/replace it.
    2. Check the tyre pressure
    3. Make yourself sure that you are filling good quality fuel on your bike.
    4. Keep the chain adjusted and well lubricated.
    5. Check if the clutch lever free play is fine and also check the clutch unit.
    Have a happy and safe ride. [emoji4] [emoji4] [emoji106] [emoji106]
Thanx for the info but my problem is already solved with throttle body cleaning and shim adjustment no more cluttering sound and powerloss because all four shim were out of spec and svc guys said everything is in spec when they checked. I think they don't know how to check it. Shim adjustment was done by myself and its really easy to do (if you don't drop the shim in the head) [emoji106] [emoji1]

        • Service center Honda CBR 250R

          Hi all

Can anyone pls tell me which is the best Honda service center located in Delhi NCR for CBR 250R. I used to get the service done at Yume Honda Gurgaon. But for the last 2 services, I've noticed, it's not as good as it used to be earlier. Although it's the same guy who has been doing the service & general work from day 1. He's trained for CBRs.
Also, pls do let me know, if flashing the ECU, will make any difference to the current performance.

          Thanks

Guys recently my front brakes have become super super spongy, as if the bite is gone, Im not sure if my brake pads have gone kaput or brake disc or I need to bleed in my brakes again, the front feel has totally gone, have press it really hard in comparison to earlier where I don't need much force to brake, I ride a non abs 2014 CBR 250

Check brake oil level. If oil is more than a year old, flush entire oil and fill DOT3 or DOT4 again.

If you've replaced your brake pads, the front one, recently and you're facing this issue, there is a high chance of air in the brake lines. Secondly, worn out pads require excessive pressure than normal to provide the same braking effect (this is almost a pad that is shredded to bare metal) and the resulting effect is a totally lackluster brake feel. Start off with the brake pads, visually inspect them, see if there is any material left, you can Google how to check brake pad on a disc brake.

Also, clean your calipers, grease the pins replace your pads if necessary and REBLEED your system thoroughly with proper DOT 4 fluid.

                Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I checked my brake reservoir and guess what it's bone dry, I got my pads changed a few months back plus caliper service , brakes have become uber sensitive, I guess they require a bit more bleeding. Anyways thanks for the inputs guys!

Does the camchain tensioner sound increase with engine temperature and rpm ?

                      (warning: long post with pictures)
                      Aux lights on CBR250:
Auxillary lights on my CBR were installed just below the headlight. The location was so perfect (in my view) with the asthetic point of view (silver dial gets blended with silver panel of fairing and reflector....in my view again) and light throw. These lights were kind of fog lights, more horizontal spread but short focus.

The aux light was attached to indicator bolt from inside the fairing using a plate. So i can only adjust the light in up-down direction (manually ofcourse). Downwards while riding in city (mostly used as DRL) and upwards for long night rides to get more focus of light.
It was having a disadvantage, i had to remove the wiring every time when there is work involving fairing removal.
I continued with this setup for almost a year until few days before one of the led got blown up.
Then it was decided to upgrade to U5 led spot light.

The alluminium housing was removed and lights were installed at same location on fairing. But since lateral adjustment was not possible (only up & down), the two light beams intersected each other.

So a new idea was developed for mounting the lights on front number plate bracket which will allow light beam adjustment the way i need.

The paper design changed a lot when the things gets into reality,
Let the pictures tell the further part

Metal plate bended in round profile to match the light.

                      And final setup

Painting of that curved metal bracket is still pending.
Have pressed the front shocks keeping the handlebar in straight, extreem left and extreem right to check whether the light assembly touches the mudguard..its not touching.
Photos of light spread is not yet taken. Will take comparo pics with stock lights and auxillary lights later on.

                      Regards,
                      Kiran

In my experience, if the cam chain tensioner is the problem, you will hear a stitching noise from the bike only when the engine is cold started, like when you start it first time in the morning. When the bike gets warmed up, the sound disappears.

Indeed, it's a job not so well done. Low to zero fluid means air can enter freely inside the system and make a mess out of the system when bleeding. Fill in fresh DOT 4 fluild, bleed it twice to make sure all air bubbles are out. The lever should return back to the good firm feel.

Different vehicles produce different sound characteristics when the engine is hot and cold, but to a very fine extent. CCT if worn produces the same sound throughout and or at specific RPM. Secondly, stitching sounds after the engine has heated up means we have tappet clearance issues, or in the CBR's case a shim clearance check is required. Plus your CCT too can be inspected and replaced if the sound is excessive.|

                          Cheers!
