But the sound is coming from near the exhaust area and I think it might not be the CCT. Although I'll replace the CCT and check again.

Surprised to see pricing on Honda website. They had announced that only ABS version would be available in BS-IV model, but both non-ABS and ABS versions exist now. 1.94L ex-showroom for ABS version is pretty steep for this dated model. Given FZ 25 and Dominar's offerings, I thought Honda would keep ABS version below 1.5L; but then Honda is Honda!

The Honda CBR 250's DOHC engine is more advanced than the FZ25 and the Dominar, which both have SOHC. DOHC gives out slightly more mileage and power, with the downside of slightly less torque and more maintenance costs.

The FZ25 needs regular cleaning of FI system every 6000kms as per the WhatsApp group. Cbr250 can go 20,000 without a replacement of the fuel filter, which costs ~ ₹500 to replace w labor.

Honda is implementing their - 'we don't give a duck' business plan when it comes to the CBR250. They know it's gonna sell in low volumes, so they make sure they get a tidy profit on each bike they sell.

the 'regular' fi cleaning is just another revenue making scheme for the asc. it isn't really required at such early intervals.

btw, i think the pricing is alright for the cbr... at-least the price hasn't shot up much. 1.8L on-road non abs, faired bike with good reliability/tech. am not someone who judges a bike by how 'old' the model is and neither based on fancy/gimmicky stuff like 'digital console' 'usb charger'

              yeh honda is honda

FZ 250 and Dominar are affordable and VFM indeed. But, apart from Honda is Honda, there is no significant price appreciation in price from the prior model if my memory serves me correct. When you add in features like LED, new decal and the new brakes (at least in Honda India's terms these are technology equivalent to the H2R's supercharger in the 250r) and for that they haven't charged anything much. Rest of the details were elaborated by bhpians earlier. (pun intended)

Now, you tell me, in a sense isn't it a new model?

                Cheers!

I haven't ride my cbr for last 16 days....

Today I removed the bike cover I found few drops of oil in front wheel rim....

But I can't able to find any leakage near the wheel.....

Anybody knows the reason..... It will be helpful to fix that issue....

Just to add. Compress the forks up and down and check if there are any oil traces on the fork tube, or oil oozing out of the oil seal. If yes, replace the oil seal on both the forks. Thoroughly check your fork tubes and sliders, since the color of the forks can sometimes mask the leak pretty well.

                        Cheers!

I enquired for front fork oil seal change today...

Went to Mansarovar Honda Madipakkam, they asked to contact Velachery branch for cbr... In Velachery the mechanic roughly quote rs. 2000 for each side. Incl. Labour+oil+oil seal 😨 OMG.... I think this is not normal what they ask....

                            any Chennaiites, please help....

Go to Didar Honda Egmore. Ideally, the fork seal, oil, and labour shouldn't cross ₹1000 for one fork.

I contact Didar Egmore, they told 600+125 for each fork and if the problem was the inner tube it costs additionally Rs. 1000 for each side....
