      You can use the 10w40 15w50, 20w50 or 20w40 on the CBR with no issues. Try not to use 10w30 even though it's a thinner and the recommended grade oil, the oil loses its viscosity after a thousand kms and the engine starts to sound coarse, primarily due to our riding temperature and ambient temperature conditions. The best oil grade for the CBR is the Shell AX7 10w40, Motul 5100 15w50 and 7100 15w50 and 10w40.

        I ride almost everyday in Mumbai stop go traffic...my cbr has shell 10w40 in it..and it heats...so was thinking of putting 20w50....as we do not have very low temperature here.. but we have high temperature

            If you've ever read your owners manual carefully, in the oil change page, it's recommended to use the right grade based on ambient temperature. Too thin an oil on our riding conditions will thin out the oil, and eventually make the engine coarser and of course make it run hot. A slightly thicker grade, as I explained in my above post will help the oil maintain its lubricity as the temperatures rise and hence a smoother performance.

                  It's a clip on, and there aren't plug and play riser mounts available. Add as far as I know, there aren't any after market handlebar risers for the CBR 250R, at least here in India. Handlebar risers are mostly used for single piece handlebars where their mount/pivot point are raised with risers. In a clip-on, there is no provision to to increase the length of the bars, other than to increase the length of the clip on tubes themselves which would increase the height, like this. Check this link.



                  Here, a user has used single piece handlebar for the CBR and installed risers, check this out, perhaps this should give you an idea.

                    You can use apache rtr200s clip on handle bars on the cbr250. Its direct fit, no modifications needed

                      Hey guys, I'm recently facing an issue, I've a second hand 2017 CBR250R ABS and it had run ~6500 KM's till date.

                      I'm currently running on Shell Rimula R4 Mineral oil (~700 KM's).

                      The issue - there is a loud noise from the front area (like a stone in a tin can) when I accelerate the bike, especially when without changing the gears, or on a linear incline.

                      And this happens only when the bike has become hot (like riding for half an hour and then this noise starts coming).

                      I haven't observed this noise coming doing the same things i.e. acceleration and/or steady incline when the bike hasn't reached ideal temperature (3 bars), it comes only after it has become reasonably hotter.

                      No specific RPMs or gears observed.

                      What can be the issue?

                        Can you post a video/sound clip. From what I can "speculate:, it can be a crank issue. [MENTION=32286]psr[/MENTION] sir.

                          Change to full synthetic 10w40 Shell advance ultra or Motul 7100. Check shims clearance and the timing/cam chain tensioner. This should resolve the issue. It will be mostly timing/cam chain tensioner I think.

                            Since it is Second hand we can't be too sure of Kilometers run...Still from what you had posted it looks more like carbon deposit on Piston leading to knocking when engine is hot. Otherwise OLD PETROL can also cause similar problem...If you have the habit of parking bike for long periods of time, or fill fresh petrol once in 30 or 40 days this is a probability.....if the earlier owner had the same habit then old petrol deposits at the bottom of the tank can continue to cause this problem....Judging by the odo reading and nearly 2 years of use, this seems to be the case...only thorough cleaning of the Petrol tank and flushing out old Petrol will help , if this is the case.. Take the bike out for a long Highway ride of say 100 Kms at 80 Kmph and see if this problem reduces.This is only if you are used to highway riding and have Helmet and protective wear....this is to burn away old carbon deposits ...

                              Hi there! Apologies for the late response, not a frequent visitor to the forum these days. So, on a personal preference point I would go with the MRF's any day. I used the Michelin Pilot Street Radial (Thai made) on my CBR. THe Michelin's had excellent life, lasted for almost 32K kms IIRC. The MRF's lasted ~22K kms. My observation between both tyres in terms of punctures are questionable, I had 1 puncture on the Michelin and 2 on the MRF, so I really don't see that as a deal breaker. The MRF tyres made the ceeber more nimble and the result was more flickability. I used to use PFZ on all my vehicles, good experience with it, although cleaning the interior of the alloy was a pain during tyre swaps. I don't think PFZ is in business anymore...

                              Sold my CBR in 2017 and moved to a D390 and D250 recently. Running Michelins on my 390 and MRF on the 250. The 390 is only used for tours/breakfast rides and I prefer the Michelin for the type of roads we have in TN. I don't think MRF would be a good option for the Duke series in particular because of the reduced sidewall. That extra 10mm on the Michelin means life and death when it comes to alloy breakage (which the Dukes are known for).

                              The MRF provided more grip than the Michelins on both dry and wet surfaces. Braking saw a marginal increase as well (assuming the MRF rubber is softer in comparison).

                                Old chain slider got damaged and i removed and try to replace with a new one...

                                But i am unable to fix it with the two holes they provided for proper fix, but it is fixed in the front sprocket.....

                                Any issues in this setup...
