    hmmn lets see...

any significant difference in braking between ABS and non-ABS version, in normal situations, not panic braking.

yesterday, went to B.U. Bhandhari showroom in camp, initially he also refused for TD, then some request/pestering/fireworks did the trick, got a small TD. the bike is good, quite fast, nice handling. though the engine is not very revhappy (may be becuase he gave me a customer's bike which came for servicing) the exhaust note is not something you can boast of....i love my pulsar,s exhaust sound, when revved, it howls and moans ... nothing of that sort in CBR ..still it is ok..

    well, you can't get everything.

seating position is ok. the guy sitting behind me (showroom guy), kept banging me everytime i applied brakes. 0-60 comes in the blink of an eye. couldn't engage 5th and 6th gears in city.

rest is ok. this comes very close to the bike i want.

when i told my colleagues & friends that i am thinking of buying a bike of 1.6 Lacs, they are like WTF.. OMG... are u crazy or mad. my boss is like "are you changing profession and going for bike racing .. "

quite surprisingly, when i told my mom last night that i am going to buy a bike, she said "buy a nano, it will cost the same" and i was like .. "have i told you which bike, how can you guess" (normal bikes don't cost this much) and then i said "no, it will be 50,000 cheaper "

Don't think so; there're atleast 3 free services; even if one is at 1000, the last one is at 12K.

I'm talking only on regular situation too; compared to the 2 caliper STD BYBRE crap, the 3 caliper point Nissin ABS has more positive reviews.

And you no need to rev like mad to attain high speeds; just do 6K RPM & you're near to 100. When you're at 7.5K RPM, you're at 120. What's more important? The relaxed or aggravation engine at high speeds? Even within city, you don't need to cross more than 5K RPM to get past others.

Not until you hear it howl after 9K RPM

+1; one cannot buy a Donkey to run it like a Horse

Right; though most reviews say this is better than N250R, I find N250R's riding stance is better than CBR's. But nothing to complain though. I still find it very good riding posture.

Oh!!! That's because he doesn't know how to sit ; so, you don't educate your Wife (or secretive GF ) how to sit & you can have all the fun

This is the biggest mistake !!! Had you told them you're spending 1.6L for a training on the field, they would've appreciated; its quite their nature. You wouldn't believe, I never told the price of the bike to anyone here. Office has it's own rumor that the cost of the bike is about 6L. Nothing to surprise, its just them

        • Speedometer console replaced.

After clocking 1.8K Kms on my CBR, I started to get a Brrrrrrrrrr Brrrrrrrrrrr (Vibration) noise from the Speedo/Tachometer console as I raised my bike above 4k RPM. Thought it was some screw loose in the front console. but repeated checks paid nothing. Finally the Service guys replaced the entire unit of the Speedo/Tachometer (free of cost) as it was defective. Now the sound has gone . My Bike's speedometer reads 000. . Felt like as if I was riding a new bike looking at the speedometer.
My bike is returning me a mileage of 33-34 in the City and 38-40 on the highways.

On the Highways I cruise around 95-115 maintaining between 5-7K rpm. Sometimes I touch 130-135. The max I have touched till now is 138kmph

              • I get around 45 at 79kmph (5k rpm in 6th gear). Over prolonged testing on the NH4, on my numerous round trips from Chennai-Vijayawada, I have realized, you can get an FE of around 45 if you keep your wrist in check and that is lot difficult done than said.

Go all out on the throttle at around 140's and 150's and you get around 32(tested on my trips from Chennai to Ooty and Kodai grouping with a Ninja. We both had pretty much the same fuel breaks).

On a side note, fixed two punctures on my rear tyre last week, one so big it needed two of those fillers. Completed 13k kms, tyres are still as good as new. Brake pads good for another 2-3k kms atleast. No hissing noise or drop in stopping performance.

And I suppose its not a prolonged period

Forget about saying; I cannot even think on those lines!!! If I were to do those speeds, then I could use my Activa

Well timing please? Occasional burst to top speeds does no harm to FE; I did Salem (5 road junction) to my house in 3:47 hrs, flat 361 Kms (including a fuel break) & my FE was just 25. Just wanted to know if I'm left alone at 25.

Excellent; so you're almost neared me now mine is 145xx something; I'm changing tires probably at 15/16K.

Now i need to get mine replaced too.
This is the same sound i have been trying to ignore because the ASC said it was the fairing rattle while i knew it was the console.
Thats it, i am gonna get my Speedo replaced aswell.

Btw the fault lies in the speedo glass. When it gets loosened it starts vibrating at 4k rpm!

Definitely not occasional bursts. We cruise at 120. If there is a straight stretch we used to shoot it upto 140.

is there any problem w.r.t. brakes when considering non-ABS.

can you guys give some comparison between non-ABS and ABS version braking capacity.
