    • i dont want a 200 CC bike that gives almost same power output as other 250 CC coz the torque of that 200 CC will always be less than 250 CC and a 200 CC producing the same power as 250 CC will always be bit more stressed. and double seated performance drop will also be there. blah blah blah...meaning whatever... i want a bike which offers me significant upgrade in terms of power and performance, pick-up and top speed. current bike P150 UG3
    • so today went to check out R15, CBR250 & KTM.
    • didn't liked KTM- too small for me, whatever so called experts may say, it is a small bike not suited for persons taller than 5'10"
    • test rode an R15, first of all the person sitting behind me will be like "pearched on a tree top" second is to me V2 seemed to be less flickable than V1, third V2 seemed to be less rev happy than V1. it may be my opinion and may me wrong, but thats how i felt, may be sumthing to do with the test ride bike. anyways 150 CC to 150 CC is not sumthing i desire.
    • next came my fav. till date the CBR- it has everything i want- power, torque, pick-up, top end, full fairing, sufficient handling, comfortable riding posture, even pillon will also be not unhappy.
    • one slight problem is the quality of plastic/fiber, fit & finish quality of switchgear didn't impress me - way below KTM & R15- and i am not talking of test ride bike, but display bikes. plz tell me is it really so??
    • at one of the showrooms the display bike was gathering dust and there was like tons of dust on it, something like when we park our bike on road side and leave it for a week. that made me think, how old is the bike, why is it neglected, they don't wanna sell it, or what?
    • there was no eagerness in sales staff for CBR sales, too bad...nobody attented me properly no finance staff available--KOTHARI WHEELS, WAKDEWADI & PASHANKAR AUTO, SHIVAJI NAGAR.
    • both above mentioned dealers didn't had any test ride bikes, and were giving lame excuses like (1) u will get test ride in evening currently our bike is out somewhere, (2) one customer crashed our test ride bike so it is under maintenance.
    • is there any CBR owner from pune, who can guide me to a good showroom.
    • why are they so reluctant to give a test ride, and so uninterested to sell it, no proper sales pitch, nothing... do we have to look really filthy rich while going to buy a CBR to get proper response.
    • i have heard that earlier lot of CBR's had lot of problems which were rectified later, since at one of the showrooms the display bike looked like a decade old, how to ensure they don't give a bike from old stock??
Go for CBR...earlier some of the bikes may have a issues...but surely you will love it...

Check with HONDA ASC. They call it Honda Throttle 10w30 full synth oil.

fit & finish quality of switchgear didn't impress me
I wonder why...:/ i am yet to see any imperfections with mine yet...

On a lighter note, dont think of it as imperfection, think of it like uniqueness...LOL!...

Attended California Superbike School and spent 3 crazy days ripping at the Chennai Race Track. I am not a racer just a newb, but was mighty impressed by the bike's handling on the track. The low end Torque was great fun at corner exits. Posting a couple of pics.

I ride in just 2 weather conditions...

Good to hear that Anything recorded with the best/worst/avg laps timing?

BTW, you're wearing JR Reactor 2.0 isn't it?

Thats correct. Some eye you have. These are JRR 2.0.

As per lap timing, in CSS the focus is on improving your technique and being faster is a byproduct. So no I have not recorded any lap timings, but I sure was faster than I have ever been. the lean angles were great and I never felt that the bike was underpowered, could overtake big bikes on the curves. It was fun riding with the big boys.

Prince did you try Rohan Honda - Dapodi or B U Bhandari - Camp or Viman Nagar,
OT - if you planning to purchase it then do it so from Rohan because they are really good, before going for Kutch ride they checked everything cleaned & lubed the chain etc. did not charge single penny that too I had gone there on odd time & gave it to me instantly, I regret buying it from B U Bhandari. If you come for Pune G2G may be you can ask someone for test ride.

I had been to Kutch ride & was feeling it hard to steer for off roading, I was not holding it tight too but somehow I was not confident of it, even the ZMR was better I feel but Biru & Shashwat handled it well may be I did not handle it well or less confident but it is a gem for touring, did 2200kms but no problems whatsoever only chain tightening & lubing was required. A perfect touring machine with no hassle or problems whatsoever.

If you want a pulsating power go for N250...but spares/service are too much costly....

If you want power, great features...go for CBR 250....

Gave my cbr for third service this weekend.
The mechanic said to change the chain after another 1000 kms.(i.e. around 13000kms)
                        I have completed 12500kms.

did anyone else also need to change the chain for their cbrs ?
If so after how many kms.
Yes, I also have to change the chain set. I have completed 14517 kms and am running in the Full Red zone for chain adjustment. I found this myself at 13000 kms, am waiting for front sprocket as it is out of stock. You will need to change both front & rear sprockets as well along with the chain, I confirmed this with the CBR trained mechanic.

Lol, you're lucky considering myself. Cause when I asked for a test ride before booking the ZMA, here's what the lady told me.

"Why sir test riding someone elses bike, Would'nt it be better to test ride your own bike after you've purchased it"
