- i want a 250 CC bike.
- i dont want a 200 CC bike that gives almost same power output as other 250 CC coz the torque of that 200 CC will always be less than 250 CC and a 200 CC producing the same power as 250 CC will always be bit more stressed. and double seated performance drop will also be there. blah blah blah...meaning whatever... i want a bike which offers me significant upgrade in terms of power and performance, pick-up and top speed. current bike P150 UG3
- so today went to check out R15, CBR250 & KTM.
- didn't liked KTM- too small for me, whatever so called experts may say, it is a small bike not suited for persons taller than 5'10"
- test rode an R15, first of all the person sitting behind me will be like "pearched on a tree top" second is to me V2 seemed to be less flickable than V1, third V2 seemed to be less rev happy than V1. it may be my opinion and may me wrong, but thats how i felt, may be sumthing to do with the test ride bike. anyways 150 CC to 150 CC is not sumthing i desire.
- next came my fav. till date the CBR- it has everything i want- power, torque, pick-up, top end, full fairing, sufficient handling, comfortable riding posture, even pillon will also be not unhappy.
- one slight problem is the quality of plastic/fiber, fit & finish quality of switchgear didn't impress me - way below KTM & R15- and i am not talking of test ride bike, but display bikes. plz tell me is it really so??
- at one of the showrooms the display bike was gathering dust and there was like tons of dust on it, something like when we park our bike on road side and leave it for a week. that made me think, how old is the bike, why is it neglected, they don't wanna sell it, or what?
- there was no eagerness in sales staff for CBR sales, too bad...nobody attented me properly no finance staff available--KOTHARI WHEELS, WAKDEWADI & PASHANKAR AUTO, SHIVAJI NAGAR.
- both above mentioned dealers didn't had any test ride bikes, and were giving lame excuses like (1) u will get test ride in evening currently our bike is out somewhere, (2) one customer crashed our test ride bike so it is under maintenance.
- is there any CBR owner from pune, who can guide me to a good showroom.
- why are they so reluctant to give a test ride, and so uninterested to sell it, no proper sales pitch, nothing... do we have to look really filthy rich while going to buy a CBR to get proper response.
- i have heard that earlier lot of CBR's had lot of problems which were rectified later, since at one of the showrooms the display bike looked like a decade old, how to ensure they don't give a bike from old stock??
