I wonder Why my steering wobbles at high speeds ??? It doesnt happen all the time ... Is it because of the road ? and Also I happen to see my bike is not smooth ... second service is around the corner .. anything I should mention ?

Probably will change your cone set! Also check your tyres for uneven wear.

Btw, @metal_Maniac...you are scaring me bro!. I think I will also look at my tyre tomorrow just to see if I have any cracks. I sure will because of a hell lot of off road riding

U got it right sir.. 3rd time in 800kms.. coz i've done rideinn for soo many bikes from 2001 that i've forgot no. of bike's i've purchased.. might be 20+ or so..

Well i tell you in detail..
{This is what i beleave and got positive results so far.. so i do not intend or trying to make u or nyone here agree on below points.. its simple my way }

1. What i think is new engine got all the moving parts like Crank, Bearing's, Piston, Rings, Sleave, Head, Valves, Clutch & Pressure Plates, Chains, Bush etc etc are brand new..

2. When when engine runs for first 500kms (Jap. Engines) 1500-2000kms (Indian Engines) it leaves small metal & other particls in oil, we call it imri.

3. When this oil containing IMRI runs thru engine bearings, crank, connecting for 500-1000kms it makes little play between them.. tho the clearance is very very nominal but smoothness of engine gone.. again i want to say its just 2-5% maxx but its true..

4. So i change 1st oil on 200kms, 2nd oil on 400kms, 3rd oil on 800kms, 4th oil on 1600kms, 5 oil on 3000kms.. due to so much oil change EMRI comes out so frequently that it dont get time & chance to damage engine parts..

AS a result i get very very silky smooth engine which perform's at its best and gives better milage and lasts long really long

I've applied this method to my karizma then Bullet AVL500 then P220 then FZ etc etc n its SUPER HIT formula for me

All Three times i found Lot of IMRI in Oil & Oil Filter of my CBR.
1st & 2nd time Oil Filter was almost in chock'd situation..

And what should we do if the oil changes you have mentioned are not done? permanent damage or can we still prevent it? (1000kms done)

Change ur oil & oilfilter n check oilfilter's fins.. use screw driver to bring out Imri n c urself..

Btw.. u must have done 1st service? if yes then wait for 6-800kms n change it

did 1st service at 800kms. )wanted to do it at 500 but late due to no oil filters available). so should i wait til few hundred kms or do it soon?

I stay in remotest part of the county.. nearest service center is 200kms one way.. so got 6 oilfilters while purchasing bike.. along with clutch cables, xclator cable n brake pads n some fuse's.. so that can run bike without minor issues

u too purchase some oilfilters n keep them wit u.. change oil at 1500kms n then 2000kms n then 3000kms.. this wil help ur bike's engine as it will work like flush..

Please dont think too much about it just Ride and follow manual of your bike closely everything will be Ok . If you ask 100 riders about Run-in and maintenance you will get 100 different replies . i changed my 1st engine oil @ 900th km and 2nd @ 3200kms aprox . Just go ahead with 1st service and Oil- Oil filter change and as i said Ride and enjoy your self .

Coolant

somewhere in previous threads i've seen someone charged little more for very less coolant topup..

1) What i want to share with you is very less talked topic "Coolant" which is second most important thing after engine oil for engine..

2) Honda Recommends Honda Genuine Pre-Mix Coolant.

3) Dont know what rate for Ltr they Provide at

4) There are only 2 types of coolant available in India a) Pre-Mix b) Concentrated

5) Pre - Mix Coolant is ready use Coolant BLUE in color

6) Concentrated one come's in GREEN color and need's to be added 2ltrs of water to 1ltr coolant

7) All PRE-MIX coolant are same Castrol, Veedol, TVS etc Make them n comes in 1ltr 3ltr 5ltr pack

8) Like Engine Oil Coolant too loosese its quality after certain kms IN our CBR case company recomends to change it after every 30000kms.. but i think we should do it before say 20000kms coz most of the time we ride in city traffic and India got HOT weather compared to Japan where R&D done.

9) If someone fails to change coolant on time it may rust the waterbody parts etc resulting rust to accumilating in thin fins of raditor.. resulting heating of bike in less kms.. thus affecting performance

10) Cost per ltr is Rs.220 maxx starting from Rs.160 & Good brands of Pre-Mix coolant available at major Retail shops who keeps Engine oils etc..

11) So Friends Keep eye on Coolant Level too.. Its Imp
