Hi Srivaatsav, its a little to late but thought I should share my experience regarding steering wobbling. I had a similar problem a few weeks ago and it turned out the pressure in my tyre( rear tyre for me ) was low. So if you have not checked, just ensure the pressure is alright in both the tyres. Else the other suspect could be the steering cone fault or its setting( either too tight or loose).
The ASC might give you a temporary solution by either looseing or tightening the same, I suggest you insist on checking the cone set for rust or any other fault especially if you have had this problem for a long time.
I got mine replaced free of cost just 3 days back.
Regarding smoothness, if its engine your talking about, I suspect the engine oil if it has not been replaced for a while.

    • Finally Honda giving atleast a bit of 'attention' to the existing CBR customers!

As conducted in different formats in different cities,HMSI organised a ride to Lavasa for some of the CBR owners in Pune.Dont know how they selected the few from over thousands of customers!Anyways,i got the call so no issues

Ride was good, without much delays, food was also good and offcourse the little cruise on the dam

      Pics : Facebook

But the best part is the free checkup campaign and replacement of some of the aesthetic parts of the bike for free!
Got the letter few days back regarding the campaign, so gave the bike for servicing today..! No need of replacement of oil for the next service, due this month!

The changes in aesthetic parts include grab rails,RVM assembly, and a few nuts and bolts.

      cheers.

LOL! Or A HMSI associate gifted with a bike recording the first engine seizure in the country

          Have been really busy, really busy with work + no CBR in hands for now; no haven't got it in hands yet;

Good thing is parts were dispatched 26 Nov (just 2-3 days after placing the order), by the time it has come, the mechanic is on leave; what do you call this? "Damn it" seems to be mild
Seems your CBR prefers to stay at her Maika (maiden home, ASC)..
i wanted to ask you, did you feel any change in the engine smoothness when travelling through different regions of the country (different temp zones and altitudes) in your Rajasthan ride?
This question is also for DK, as he has taken this CBR to so many places.
I ask this because in all the 7months of ownership, i have been noticing a significant difference in the engine when i be in mumbai or nashik. In mumbai (sea level and moderately hot), the engine is smoother. In nasik (approximately around 200m from sea level and pretty cool) the engine feels to loose its smoothness. And i have been noticing and confirming this every time. Want to know if its just me or this is normal and obvious?

what are the items you actually need a bill of? Sai point Honda hasn't charged me a rupee till date for chain lubing (5-6 times) and Vihaan charged me Rs.100 or 150 for cleaning and lubing. Will confirm it and provide you with the bill asap if i find the bill.

Well...people who know me personally, know what I'm; for those who don't I don't care; but I can't stand crap, so better I stop; have good friends in FB & this is not the only platform to help either

I tend to believe more in the 10W-30 FS oil than anything; after this the engine started showing its true potential I guess. Nothing else matters on the exterior weather, roads, altitude conditions.

Change the engine oil to FS & you can unleash its fullest stock potential

but i am using Honda's throttle 10w30 from the beginning. Changed to 20w40 for some 200kms (before 2nd service) but then again back to 10w30 fs after second service.

              • ^^^ MM - Are you saying the engine isn't smooth even after 3 bars on temp guage + a ride of atleast 15-20 Kms? I doubt on that; and I hope you changed the engine oil filter everytime you switched the engine oil.

Yes I'm looking for your 1st service bill from whichever SVC you must have got the servcing done. I know about the chain lubing thats why I want to make them understand that their practice is wrong. They can't charge us the way they want it. If I'm not wrong every svc has to charge as per the Honda's pricing. Don't you feel so?

Yup; happened in Mumbai (DK/Kurtrules posted sometime back) & is likely to follow in other cities too. I would've termed it fantastic ONLY if HMSI did that within 3 months instead of addressing it 6-7 months after their launch.

Explains the check-up campaign letter i got.I didnt face any noticeable rusting issues but still a 'better-late-than-never' initiative.
