took delivery had a short dash, 10Km, from showroom to office (shucks, got work) and the feeling is AaaaaWESOME !!

It just got worse. At first it was just a minor body vibration(source still unknown to me and the mech)
Now the vibration has kicked into all gears post 6k rpm and i can feel the vibration on the clutch lever, footpegs and the whole handle to be precise.
I am sick and tired of running over to the ASC every week
As for the topspeed, since i get very little time with my engg life i havent exactly toured on the bike to find a long stretch till date. But if this is any consolation, she did a 100kmph in 3rd gear @ 10.5k rpm and goes upto 120 in 4th.
These were on extremely short stretch of roads so i dont think the topspeed is any issue(just waiting till New year's vacation)

IS (Vibration) this the character of this bike like all RTR vibrates @ 3.5 to 5k Rpm and after that bike is as smooth as amul butter ? even i was facing same issue ( but i dont think its an issue :d) specially if you ride non-stop for 120kms+ vibs increases as engine heat up . I think after replacing shims this issue is almost solve .

I think i better get the shims checked/replaced tomorrow.
But thanks to Honda there havent been any spares as of yet

And no. This is one of those "extreme vibrations". You dont even feel like riding her in such a state

So do you suggest that I should change the oil to FS? If yes then which one, cause the workshop has only this particular oil & they say honda has recommended it.

No can has been given. Next time I'll do it myself with motul.

If you've handed over the first service coupon, then this is gone to someone's pocket; if not, Rs 35 is the standard labor cost for changing engine oil.
My entire labor for 3rd service is Rs 325 (without tax) & I was told that there're certain components that shouldn't be charged & will be compensated during subsequent service. The highest is Rs 143 for removing the complete swing arm & changing the chain & that work is for about 1.1 hour. The tax for labor was 10.3% & the total was Rs 358!!!

I have already spoken with them & they have asked me to visit them but I'm a bit busy with work these days. Forgot to mention that the cone set was lubed because the handle was getting stiff. But can they charge me for that?

My cbr's handle was also stiff. Got it fixed from the service station. They dont charge anything.

Any1 got their bike serviced from venetian honda(borivali)?
Even i was charged 350 for chain cleaning and lube.

Can some1 help me with the noise coming from the disc of both they wheels. Its not a continuous 'hiss' sound but a 'hiss hiss hiss.....' repeating sound as the wheel rotates. Its bothering me alot. Please do provide your valuable comments.

and yes Ive got a red 'standard' model. with 900kms done. and the sound has increased after the 1st service

FS oil costs 504 tupees per liter.

Yes I got the FS oil from another service center and it is for 504! Om Sai guys didn't know about the 10w30 mineral oil and I believed them. They do not have yet have FS with them yet! Bah!

just one request have patience while they measure shims and other setting and yea it might take few trial's before they get correct shims for you

Honda service centre in Pune

hi

need some help here....i bought CBR last week from BU Bhandari Honda in camp. can any one please suggest me the best service centre in Pune....i visited BU bhandari (at estate road, closest to me) and asked if i could be present while they service my bike (i heard many of Honda centres allow it, only for CBR) and they refused it...seen few complaints on consumercomplaint.com as well of over charging (things like labour charges in first free service, battery charging charges, this was for viman nagar)...

which service centre should i approach, if i am looking for well trained mechanic (who is not trying to learn on my bike

), honest and friendly staff with flexible mindset to do the things, i tell them to do (like no pressure wash of bike or other such things)

I bought my CBR from them. Pretty ok staff. The asstt mgr is a clued up chap. My batch of bikes came with only RHS mirrors lol (some fu from Honda itself in its SCM) but Rohan was able to get them fast enough for me to ride from Pune to Rajkot. The owner is a friendly chap and if you ask him, he may allow you to be present when they touch your bike. Need to strike a personal rapport with the ASC chaps.

you have full rites to see your bike while servicing.
last time i want for 1st service in delhi and the service incharge told me to sit in wating room and i objected him that why shuld i wait there i will see my bike and i dont trust you all so he said sir nothing is like that i dissagree to him and saw my bike while servicing. also he told me if anyother owner will see u standing here then they will also come here i said i dont care about anyone i will see my bike

.my cbr250r has been with Bhasin honda -delhi for 10days now for a tank dent repair..when i was leaving my bike with them 1 of the guys there gave hs no. n said i can call him n keep a track of ma bike n he took my no. as well for the same...the number provided to me was comings switched off for the past 8days hence today when i went to check on it i found my bike standing outside exposed to the sun n evrything and it was veryvery dirty as if some one had ridden it in mud purposely . wen i asked the guy incharge he rudely said all the bikes are given same treatment and mine is no special.and my bike had several small sratches on it . i am very disappointed with their service..i did drop a mail with honda customer support but i want them to realise that me and specially muy cbr250r is jst not evry other bike(read splendors, passion pro n activa) that comes to them for service and they need to take care of ouur bikes when we have to leave them in their custody...
Guys if any1 can tel me or help me to screw their case...then plz lemme kno...

There is a guy Rameshap on the cb twister forum who owns a cbr too... ask him... he'll definately help... CBR OWNERS IN BANGALORE>> how much did the non abs version cost on road??

shucks man, i feel your pain.

wish honda had some facility like pro-biking for bajaj where there train chosen mechanics to be specialists who are good in their soft skills as well.

spending over 1 and 1/2 lakh and if you aren't treated, leave special, atleast in a proper manner then what's the point, where's the pride
