  • Guess the people who are having problems with the bike might have gotten the far end of luck.

Proud to say that my buddy Ram (xBhp ID: thefastestindian) has returned today successfully completing the IBA Bun Burner Challenge (2500 Kms in 36 hours) on the CBR250R. Bike performed flawlessly.

Waiting for him to get up from sleep and put in his experience with the bike

nothing to do with luck my friend.
The problems mentioned for me are those arising from using it extensively for 4 months---for others they are right from start-- it's because of faulty parts or design issue on Honda's part -- & 8 out of 10 people having issues has nothing to do with luck

That asides I have done two extreme long runs without any major issues on the go ---doesn't mean that the bike has no issues

On a congratulatory note to fastestindia - welcome to the club

No offence meant for anyone Dark Knight.... But havn't faced any issues with the bike. Have been extensively using it for 5 months now. In fact I know of atleast 5-6 bikes delivered in the initial lot (including mine) without any problems.

That said, keeping my fingers crossed that I dont face any now...

none taken my friend -- most are in same boat

when I say extensively it means a 9 day ride of 4 k kms or a dash to northeast through all imaginable terrains for 22 days -- so if you go back a few pages to my post I say that after all this I am neither too pleased nor too displeased either

Invairably though i compare this to my 2 year old r15 which did 70k kms but didn't have any such problems regarding build quality or faulty internals or otherwise ( barring the issue that they also had faulty horn mount in 1st lot )

                              • It is durable and can take some serious challenges.

Just back from the BUNBURNER 2500kms in 36 hours IBA challenege.

No probl;em with the bike at all. Just that the chain is very loose now. No other issues or concerns at all. Mine was from the first lot. Done 10k kms on it till date and never did I face an issue with the bike. Runs butter smooth.

I was getting an AVG of 31.6 kmpl though I was redlining the bike. Was doing speeds between 110-140 and did 150 some times..

ABS works like a charm undoubtedly, It became better after I changed my brake pads to "HH" rated pads. Worth every penny. The entire bike is worth it.
