Ya buddy... ABS is really life saver many time, but unfortunately a bike hit me in silencer, due to a cycle come in my way and i opt for hard braking, and then he is blaming me that why i applied short brakes, and he is not have disk brakes... public are strange if you brake hard then people behind you complain and if you not then people in front of you will... LOL well I had a big fight with that guy... that's a long story

Damn..something similar happened to me couple of weeks back..i thought the people with such high IQ might not be around the coutry, but it seems they're spread across everywhere..

"You braked and stopped because you have those big disc brakes..How should i stop?..i dont have disc brakes"

LOL. That hasn't happened to me yet because generally I try to be very aware of who's behind me, I had a very close encounter though and the car driver would have probably hit me from the back if I had not moved in time.

          • got my 1st service done today.
            oil filter- 231rs
            engine oil- 173x2 = 346
            vat% -72 :|
            coolent-100
            chain greasing- 350
            service tax - 61
            TOTAL - 1311rs

Got the bike washed. They use a very high pressure water hose for washing all bikes. I hate to see that. I never want my bike to be washed like that. But thought fine its ok let them do it. After finishing everything i leave with the bike and just stop at a turn outside the service center. What do i see?!! F'n SCRATCHES on my fuel tank. Got pissed off alot. went back drove straight inside and told it to the authority who was like some head over there. He got the tank and left fairing polished. the scratches then disappeared. but the ones on fairing did not. So called the man who checked my bike and he applied some other polish and wiped it with their brush. Scratches gone. Sigh of relief!! Dont know how but IMO i think it 'might' be because of the high water pressure.
btw the bike shines alot now

I've changed oil 1st time on 200kms ( castrol powerone 10w30).. Closely looking at drained oil found that it has small very small microscopic metal particals we call it imri

So changed oil again today at 450kms (castrol powerone 10w30 )

Found more imri then 1st time in drained oil.. So decided to open oil filter.. What I saw was mess.. Oil filter was almost 80% blocked by imri.!! So changed it immidetly bike now feels super smooth..

howcome company advice for 1st service at 1000 n then at every 6k kms..!!

that was actually one of the ideas behind the new engine design. Honda was looking at a 250cc mil that required less frequent maintenance over its counterparts.

                • ^^ In 9k kms, I have changed the engine oil 4 times and oil filter once so far. Got my bike serviced only twice though. Will change to FS oil and then probably will follow 6k kms ka servicing regime.

                  • There is some noise coming from both the wheels. It sounds as if you take a small plastic polythene bag and tie to any one spoke of the rim. You'l hear it as the wheel rotates. Its not a very prominent sound but i can hear it and am getting distracted. Its probably coming from the disc of both wheels. The guy at service center told that its a common thing and is just some dirt or mud stuck and will get cleared out after some time. I dont think so. What can it be? Any solutions?

Buddy what I remember and had seen it somewhere that hmsi has not recommended there cbr to be washed with high pressure. Don't do this again u might damage your bike. I will check my books of automobile and paste it here for u guys. But for the time being don't use high pressure for cleaning your bike. Well if u r reading this and thinking that the svc are doing it well trust me these guys r mad and don't have brains use yours as u have more than them.
So don't get it washed again in the future for all this message is.

Do you have the ABS variant? ABS variant makes this noice. The brake pads are the culprits here. I changed by pads to a different make and the noice disappeared.

Nope it got the standard. Its been just 850kms. The noise has increased post the 1st service. But if it was due to the brake pads then wouldnt it be a continuous rubbing sound rather than a repeating sound?

They take apart all the body panels and they fix them back together on the bike.
They ask me to test the bike when i get there and as soon as i moved i could feel the vibrations
I turn around go back and tell him that and the answer i get is "Sir. That is normal. It is the sound of fibre body panels rubbing against each other. It is normal for the first few thousand kms"

And then he says "I will fix it during ur next service if that problem would last that long"
Now i gotta live with this annoying vibration+noise for a while
You dont have to If i were you the ASC manager personally would have come to my home and serviced the bike .. screw them man wat r u wiating for...

It might just be the brake pads.. If some pressurized water doesn't take care of it then you'll have to remove the pads and scrub them with sand paper or a hard wired brush..
