Re: Honda CBR 250R
That's exactly what I was trying to convey. And the wattage saved by Leds will help in what. My point is stock system I have seen and used 100 watt halogen lamp with relay, roots vibrasonic dual car horn for the last 5 yr years of my ownership. Had a hid also in auxiliary setup. Never gave any issues. Leds are less consuming only when given as a complete set and from relay delayer etc from a reputed company. Otherwise you get led indicators with resistance to fit directly with the older system which increases the load to counter balance the load wattage. So what's the use?sigpic

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Duke's LED blinkers were brighter and more piercing than these halogens. There's no benefit of halogens except maybe cost.Originally posted by drvmtm View PostThose big fat big halogen indicator s are for a reason and that is for saving our life in Indian highways. It's a tourer so good illumination is vital. It's 21 watts per bulb where as most others are 10 watts or small Leds. Just saying.
Thanks for the links. Will look into it.Originally posted by madhav766 View Post

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I have back pain with riding CBR 250 even. Sometimes taking the bike out of the parking lot hurts. Long rides are no longer fun, and even though I can well afford an upgrade once I reallocate my assets, I don't see the point in buying a bigger, heavier bike in the future. If I do, I might become one of those guys who ride the bike once a week for a breakfast.Originally posted by drvmtm View Post[emoji17] hmmm may be. Mine. Curiously enough, the softest suspension adjustment makes my back hurt more. All that bouncing around causes more compression to the spinal disks. I've set it to 4 currently.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
You mean raised bars? Na, that ain't gonna help. As long as I'm in a seating position for more than a ln hour it hurts. Doesn't matter if I sit straight or lean.
Infact on my recent Chennai trip, I had back pain on the 4 lane highway, where I was relatively upright, compared to the Kerala roads, where I had to lean more and hug the bike during corners.
Thank you for the free advice though. Most doctors wouldn't dish it free. [emoji6]

On my D200 the initial rides feel good. However when both the bikes are at 110 the cbr250r just wins by leaps and bounds

Re: Honda CBR 250R
In fact, if you're planning to get your front end checked and at the SVC, it's also a wise idea to get your bulb changed. Replacing the bulb wouldn't incur any warranty lapse issues as such. It's easy and unless and until you are sure to know how to replace, get it done in one go at the SVC.Originally posted by madhav766 View PostWell no, it doesn't start veering straight away. In fact, above 60kmph, the bike stays steady. As it slows down from 60, the veering starts. I have to put some weight on the left to keep the bike steady. I was wondering if I have to get this checked tomorrow on first service. It's not an issue, but it will surely be causing loss in mileage and unnecessary and uneven wear on the tires. I don't know if I can fix it myself. I'd rather not(I do have the service manual because the bike is new and I'd like to put some mileage on the bike before I start my tinkering. I'm also planning to get the headlight bulbs changed to Philips H4(60/55w) tomorrow from a trusted workshop near my house(these guys work on liter-class bikes regularly). Is it recommended or should I take the bulb to the service centre itself? The headlights are indeed pathetic on the CBR.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END
