Its a wrong practice but more than 90%(may be 95%) of the radiator fins of my 2011 model CBR250R were damaged. Even though the temprature bars never exceeded from 3, neither in peak traffic nor during any high speed run. And thats the reason I never bothered to change the radiator of my CBR250R. The only thing which I faced was much frequent running of radiator fan during hot peak traffic hours as compared to the colder climate runnings and engine a bit towards rougher side. But I guess it can not be directly concluded that the damaged radiators fins were the reason behind the same. Hondas are hell reliable but mechanical failure can happen uncertainly. Prevention is better than cure so you can make your choice.

Someone asked abt Moto Jack sometimes ago. I had never heard abt such thing. I searched abt it n then I bought it to fill the place of double stand.
It's very helpful for cleaning & lubing the chain. It can also make the rear wheel cleaning easier.
Though some points to consider
1) Finding base point for the first time, takes some efforts. But once found, u can repeat it w/o any problem.
2) Use cardboard while using cleaning or lube spray. It won't make the rear wheel sticky. I forgot it n my rear wheel was dirty. Had to give more time for cleaning the rear wheel.

Here r some pics n video for it.

I have heard about local worshops where the radiators are serviced but don't know about the way they work. Since the bike doesn't have any over heating issues it is fine to leave it just like that.

I guess I was that folk. Great sharing mate. Even I was thinking to buy one but I'm gonna try car jack first which is available with me. But definitely this is gonna portable and can be carried to anywhere.

I'm really fade up with removing chain guard each time cleaning and lubing my chain and moving bike front and back. Have to give these things a try quite soon.

Sure, try the car jack. If it works then share in this group.
Moto Jack is on little bit costly side (1300 rs), though build quality is good.

Post after that incident Handlebar vibrations are too much that right hand getting numb so easily.

Also Handlebar feels heavy... What could be the problem?

My next service is due in next 1000 kms. Should I keep riding with the problem till the next service or I should take the bike for service immediately.

I did not get into any bump but the same vibration is present in my bike too..
Dono what is causing the issue..

I asked SVC ppl to check the issue but they did not rectify it during 1st service..

Kindly let me know once you fix the issue and what you have done to fix it..

You will get used to it. Adapting to a new riding position for a few folks causes some discomfort in the wrist/arm/shoulder.
Get fit, if you aren't

2. When I release the throttle to let the bike slow down by itself I tend to slide forward losing the sweet spot on the seat and having to readjust again. Same complaint from my wife riding pillion? Is it normal or should I get a seat cover to avoid slipping?
This is the engine braking which is more prominent on larger capacity motorcycles. Rather than just abruptly closing the throttle, pull in the clutch and modulate throttle.. this will reduce the engine braking to an extent. Ride the bike a few more weeks and you will adapt to it.
You can of-course get a seat cover that offers more grip, if you think that is going to make it better for you.

3. I've noticed that the normal foot position on the right footpeg make your toe lie under the brake and everytime to apply the brake you have to lift your feet up which in crucial moment can be risky and in traffic keeping the foot on the brake lever is tiring as it's not the natural position. Can it be modified in anyway?
Try not to play around with the lever. Again you need to spend more time on the saddle and ride.. over time you will get accustomed to it. Even I had a similar feeling with my D200 when I bought it.. i wanted to weld an extra bit of metal to the lever to extend it. But once i rode the bike for a month or so, i was comfortable with it.

4. Are the vent fins on radiator harmful? Should I get it straight or what should I do. I'm not facing any heating issues though. Can it be replaced under extended warranty? Should I install radiator guard (please tell cost of yes)?
It is probably safe to just leave it as is (just make sure the radiator is not caked in mud). there wont be a significant impact if even 20% of the fins are bent.
if you have the patience sit down and straighten them out carefully using a blunt screwdriver or some blunt plastic object.
You can fix a radiator guard.. but a cheaper option would be to add a mudflap to the front mudguard. this simple mod blocks out the muck from being thrown at the radiator.

5. I'm looking to purchase a new helmet, gloves, tang bag and riding jacket. Im not looking for expensive one but decent ones as my budget is restricted so please if anyone can guide on that.
For Rs.2000 you can pick up the Studds Shifter Helmet. You have various jackets in the 5-7000rs range, most of which are similar. wear them and check before ordering one.
6. any other tips are welcome.
Spend more time riding the bike to get a hang of it and to understand it.
How long a chain set last if driven sensibly?
Even if ridden sensibly, but if not maintained properly (i.e. clean and lubing it every 500-1000km) it will wear out soon. If maintained well, it could easily last 30k km.
My comments in bold above

Hi Guys,

Travelled from Bangalore to Ahmedabad on my cbee 250, I had serviced my bike at Bangalore unfortunately bike is making sounds.

The sound is similar to a worn out timer chain. ( I know this because I had replaced the same about 7k KM's back with tensioner along with 2 worn shims back at Bangalore at dhruvdesh Honda)

Concern: I am aware of Honda reliability and very happy about it but the same issue occuring within 10k KM's is something alarming.

Now that I have traveled to Ahmedabad I tried leaving the bike at Apex Honda Maninagar Ahmedabad to get it fixed but the tech guy says that he tried to replace the tensioner and the sound did not reduce so he needs to open the engine to look if anything is wrong with tappets. ( Not sure is tappet exists because of shims) and it would take 15days to close the job card.
This made me a little cautious and asked the mechanic to cancel the job card.

Please guide me to someone who can help me out here and get things fixed at a professional level. Below are few more details.

Model: CBR 250R STD (2014)
Odo reading: 60k
Driving mode: cruise at 110 to 120 kmph
All services done timely at ASC, No Major issues with engine yet.
Sounds/noise: tick tick (clock ticking sound near the engine)
Knowledge on mechanical parts: Moderate
Mileage: 30kmpl
Last oil replaced: 1800kms back at ASC Bangalore

Questions:
1) Where can I get my bike fixed? A knowledgeable guy at Honda possibly.
2) What are the side effects if I do keep riding the same and get the problem fixed back at Bangalore?
3) Can I claim any kind of warranty at Ahmedabad if it's the issue was fixed earlier at Bangalore?
4) Has anyone here made similar fixes at ASC and if feedback can be shared?

Waiting for valuable assistance, thanks in advance.

Someone removed rubber caps of both the mirrors last night😓
I want this because bike not looking good to me without this rubber cap.
Visited SVC, but they said rubber cap not available separately, i have to buy mirror to get it.
Checked indiaspares but no luck.
Please suggest me from where i can buy this.

Mine fell off on a ride, I doubt if you can get them seperately unless you want to remove it from someone's bike

Note: Please keep the exposed screw dried else it will start to start rust.

hypheni - why do you remove the chain guard each time you lube the chain? Are you using a spray type lube?

Got my tensioner replaced today. I am from Assam and it costed me (incl. Taxes) 478/-. My odo stands at 3900+ kms. Visit another SVC and get it fixed. They ask for a whole day to check and rectify the error. They got mine fixed in 4 hours.
Attaching the bill.
