Check the neutral switch wire connector, where it plugs on to the neutral switch. The wire connector should be securely attached to the switch terminal.
If the wire is found to be securely connected to the switch, you likely have a faulty neutral switch.

P.S: Neutral switch is located in front of the gear shift lever, on the left side of the engine, just below counter-shaft sprocket cover.

Do you mean that when you press the rear brakes, sometimes the pedal doesn't move down, it's like you're stepping on the footpegs instead?

I have that too, for the most part, the rear brakes slow the bike well, sometimes they act up, and feel like a step rather than a spring feel, and stopping power reduces too. My brake fluid level is fine, so I just ignore this.

Kind of. I don't really know how to explain it. It's like... When I put the rear brakes, the pedal sometimes feels as of some tiny stones or dust/ sand are in the brake and making it feel kinda having sloppy bite on the rear brake.

And my tires are slippery AF (excuse my words). I've got ContiGo tyres and damn it slips especially even on the slightest dust particle on the road (which is very, very common on Indian roads). Any better replacements available?

It may actually be dust/debris. Anyways, rear brakes aren't normally used to brake because that's the front brakes' job.

Dunlop, MRF Massetter and Michelin Sport(y) are good tires.

Today i tried doing it myself and end up getting it too low..
Am not able to find sweet spot for it.. :\

Its too hard to adjust the headlight with fairings on..

Anyone know any method to get the right setup?
Get someone with a similar weight as you to sit on the bike, get to adjusting the beam(preferably in the night) on an empty street with a lot of dept. Avoid adjusting the beam by gauging the throw on a wall - this is almost always incorrect. That's what I did. Getting street worthy lighting from stock headlamps now.

Adjusted a bit and the throw is on the road rather on others face..

Now for some reason the Pass light is not effective.. :\
Wen i Press it, it does not throw high beam properly :|

Totally ****ed up my bike headlight throw -_-

With the likes of Rossi being unhappy with the tires on the motogp circuit, I think you shouldn't be worried about it much in your case. On dust/sand any tire will slip, even the tires on Rossi's bike or the D390's metz. It's up-to you to ride carefully in such situations.. don't expect miracles in a tire change in such conditions.
Improve your riding style, dont stomp on the brakes on dusty/sandy surfaces especially cement roads.. slow down and use the rear brake more in such cases.
The tires provided on our vehicles are designed to work reasonably well across a wide range of roads, so unless you want something for a specific purpose.. you are left with no choice but some compromises.

s1d is correct, even the most stickiest tyre still skids on sand during a corner. Best thing for the tyres and your health is to avoid cornering on public roads. Rip the bike on the clear straight, slow down well before the corner, to take it at an upright angle.

I've encountered sand during corners twice, and had the rear slide out both times. Since the lean angle was less, I didn't lose control rather I rode out the slide without braking.

I seem to be having a problem with it. The neutral light fails to come on even when its in neutral, and the bike fails to start/crank. Had to jump the start in half clutch.
Initially thought it was the battery dying out on me as its almost hitting 4 years in age. But all other switches (horns , lights) seems to be working just fine.

P.S: I did have this almost same problem about 2 years ago, which disappeared just like that.

                      Cheers

Hello, Krish long time no see. Hope you're doing great mate, guess R3 or workload is taking too much of your time. The neutral switch wire is a female hollow metal connector right below the front sprocket cover on the left of the bike. First off, I'd suggest remove the wire dab a little WD 40 and or petrol, give it good clean wipe, both the pin and male switch tip and connect the pin back to the switch. Make sure the pin is tight and taut and not loose and dancing around. Check if she's all right, if she's faulty, replace switch. But, first give it a proper check, clean, tighten the pin if it's loose connect it back, and then proceed to the minor surgery if required.

The small pointy thing next to the gear shifter shaft. The wire slides on top of the pointy thingy.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                      THE END

Hey man, i'm doing good, swamped with work as usual. I barely ride the R3 honestly. It's the CBR for me that works best. She's hitting close to 42k now, which should have been achieved long back, stupid work life :-P
That area in my bike is gunked up i guess, will probably require a whole bottle of WD40 to do the job . Anyways, let me see what i can do, gotta go on a ride home tmrow, but surprisingly enough today morning the issue vanished, so i'm guessing the wire is a bit loose probably.

                        Cheers

Did you use my method? If you're unhappy get it done at the SVC. Make sure to do it in a dark environment and sit on the bike yourself while your mech adjusts the beam.

                            HI All,

This might be off topic but I couldn't find any thread for the same .
Is anyone using SJCAM action camera ? I have interest in the SJ6 model but the video out put seems dull in colour compared to previous model, any input will be appreciated.
The purpose is to use as a dashcam/helmetcam don't want to shell out 25 k on go pro somewhere in the ballpark of 10-14K is what I'm looking for.
                            Regards,

I have ordered the GitUp Git2 Pro packaging. Found the video color to be slightly better than sj6 in the comparison video. Git2 is capable of recording 2k. I think it's completely worth the money. It should be somewhere around 15k in India. I've ordered it from their website. Cost me $149 including the external mic. Waiting for the cam now.

Excellent choice. It's also available on Amazon.in from a seller called Magazine Ieftine (original Git2 Pro). The color, bitrate and resolution options and best of all, the gyro are superb in the Git2.
