Same branch, same guy (Nagraj/Nagaraju). He used to be the only CBR-trained guy there. I had a good rapport with him ever since my 1st service in Feb 2103 but since the last two visits (Nov'13 and Dec'13) he is never around and the supervisor, Manjunath always takes the delivery and asks me to leave, saying it will be done at some god-forbid hour. Moreover, they always have an issue with spares - some part or the other is invariably out of stock.

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

Haven't been there since September, will have to check on my next visit there. I have always spoken to Nagraj whenever I have dropped my bike off there.

Hey B... I give my ride to the RV road Silicon Honda Showroom for my servicing needs. They do a fairly good job as far as you know your bolts yourself... instruct them on what is exactly to be done and it'd be wise to go during morning hours when the mechs are not so taxed for time. Do ask for the head Mechanic for the CBR (Sashi is the guys name at the center mentioned before) and talk to him to establish a connection between him, you and the bike. Shoot them one or max two offhand compliments but never overdo it.

Cant really say that ive tested many service centers but I find these guys around the satisfactory mark if I know what I need done with to the ride. I tend to usually stick to a mechanic even if he's erred with my bike a bit before... but now he recognises my ride, how I like the clutch and the fact that I like my chains tightened etc... he just gets it done anyway.

Hope it helped. Cheers mate.

Which is the best A.S.C for CBR currently? last heard, Ananda Honda and Sapphire Honda were good resorts. Anybody visited these ASCs recently?
Had poor experience with City Honda (my actual ASC), Silicon Honda and Haiku Honda so looking for a better option.

Tagging Bnagalore CBR guys @satheez_7 @raul007 @Vykier @kpvision @ecenandu @tarun.nair @GaneshShan to this post.

Tagging @Divya Sharan as well - guess you'd be having a strong idea on this.

Thanks in advance!!!!!
Hi Dude, So far I have tried Saphire Honda (JayaNagar), Haiku Honda (Domlur) only.

Saphire (Where I bought my bike) - Technician Zeeshan was good in his work somedays back. Now due to more CBRs, his service quality became worst. During third service, None of my bike issues were addressed.
Haiku Honda - Same story here as well. Technician Mani is somewhat knowledgeable. But he wont listen us. Service quality is just okay. Here during second service. My bike had oil leak problem due to improper fitting of oil filter gasket.

New ASC in Town is Tansi Honda. I been there once, Service Manager ShyamSundar is very knowledgeable. He is clearly listening what we are telling. I suggest this ASC. I am going there by this weekend, then will [post full review about Tansi Honda.

And spares availability is still the issues in most of ASC. I was in search of Chain slider, finally got only in Anandha Honda.

Similar experience with Haiku Honda Domlur - they didn't reassemble my fairing properly after a service leading to lots of rattles. As for spares, Silicon Honda at RV Road is the go-to guy - they maintain a healthy inventory of spares.

Where is this Tansi Honda located? Seems worth a try. I am also looking to service my bike this weekend, so if you are headed there, we can catch up.

bbsrailfan Silicon Honda also owns a Service Garage that's located in Uttarahalli. The main CBR mech who worked in Silicon Honda, RV rd (Mr Kumar) is there now... he does do a good job but I haven't located their workshop. I can PM you his number if you want to hunt it down... apparently he's freer there and can do a better job according to him, He's a good cbr mech though.

Just to add in this Honda ASC stories I like to add my story also. Same things happened to me. After 2nd service I had oil leakage due to oil filter gasket.

I was watching the service guy to service my bike and another mechanic came and ask for some medication due to a small cut on his finger. The mechanic told him to get medi pack from some bike and use it. LOL. They opened my pillion seat and couldn't find the kit ("salla nikal liya ye pehele hi") and they found the pack from a CB Trigger and used it. What a shame to the ASC. For a medication they are using some customer's pack that too in service premises. The story is from Dugar Honda ASC Kolkata.

No offence to people in WB, but, when I was on my GQ, I was anticipating my chain to be tightened at Kolkatta & the local HMSI engineer didn't have a good opinion & neither did the HMSI engineer from Kolkatta. Instead they were suggesting me to get the chain tightened at Delhi or Vizag. The reason they said was, once again - no offence, people are quite lazy in WB & it was extremely hard to get the work done out of them.

Thanks, I managed to find that workshop (atleast on Google Maps!). I will take a final call between Tansi Honda and Silicon Honda Uttarahalli.
BTW are there any advantages of making a service booking, over the regular "drive-in" service?

aargee, hypheni - That's pathetic!!!! After reading all those accounts, I guess the Honda guys here in Bangalore are saints!!! Atleast Nagraj (City Honda, Mission Road) used to give me a free chain tightening and lubing everytime I visited him for some minor niggle.

Hi @bbsrailfan ,
I have OK experience with Sapphire Honda (I had scratches on my fairing once after the service). Zeeshaan is good. I heard good feedback for Tansi.

I may be completely wrong here but Ive never done a booking and somehow get that 8% better service and handling at Silicon Honda, RV rd for owning a CBR250r. But it could also be because I knew Kumar the earlier head and Sashi the current CBR guy at the place... whatever the reason, i've found going there in the morning hours is even better than making a service booking... sometimes you'll find the place quite empty... sit the head mechanic down and get it done with adequate time and understanding given to your issues.

Hope you find a good consistent mechanic for your ride.

Cheers.

I have decided to go ahead and give a shot to Tansi Honda. Hope it will be a good experience :touchwood: satheez_7 are you planning there on Saturday or Sunday? Probably we can plan on the same day. Do PM me your details so that we may schedule it together.

Neither have I tried booking an appointment earlier, but was just wondering if that option helps at all? Or is it just a gimmick?

Hi guys

Just have few issues .Clocked 21k Kms till date

1) My bike stalls when I downshift the gears and it takes at least 10 mins to start up . ( Happened twice yesterday and prior to that probably 5 months back )

2) I had serviced the bike 2 months ago and I feel the engine is not running freely ( as though its holding up)

Request you guys to share your views on this

Hello everyone! Today I started my bike after 4 days and it started on single starter but later it stalled in 1st gear. Later it refused to start and after 2mins it again came to life. what could be the reason?
