    1. Kerosene
    2. Disel

Diesel or Kerosene is your best bet. Whichever you get cheaper will do. As of WD40 , it's a excellent cleaner and degreaser , but there is a debate that wd40 effects the chain life for open o-ring chains. So really any of the choices you have mentioned are worth it. All are excellent cleaners.

I personally use WD40 as i don't feel that a short exposure of WD40 will ever effect the o-rings in the chain.

        Cheers

          • The first 2 shots were taken from 25/28 feet from the compound net,the last 2 shots were taken from 15 feets from the wall.
The cut line is very sharp no glare atall like hids for the on coming vechicles.
Going to adjust the beam a bit higher as the hotspot is still very low.

@theironhorse99 : Thanks for the info. Will be going for Osram NBs then! Are the AutoTrends people trustworthy? The price is tempting!

@sid...I use kerosene for cleaning it and then lube it with SAE90 gear oil. Got the tip from City Honda ASC - they use gear oil for lubing the chains!

@Pruthviraj : What setup are you using? Very good illumination..and that rainbow effect near the edges suggests it's a projector setup?

Biking is not about how many Km/h you put on your Speedo. It's about how many miles you put on your Odo. Ride Safe, Ride Long!

I have used Kerosene as well as Diesel. Both are good.
But are you in eligible category for Kerosene ??
Because Now I don't get Kerosene at all from ration shop.

dont know about autotrends people.. i cudn't find Osram NB locally so i ordered off ebay. later people updated its available locally for same price i bought off ebay..
1090/1100 bucks for a pair.. used 1 and gave 1 to another cbr buddy..

kerosene is just fine.. for lubing if not gear oil get a normal chain spray.. a local chain spray for p220 chain costs 80 bucks for a spray can..
its thinner but does the job..

pruthviraj is indeed using projector.. check previous pages.. he posted pics of the projector with red angel eyes.. looks good..

awaiting his response if its a 2.8 in or 3 in projector and 35 W ...

the cutoff is low for low beam can be moved a lil higher..

i also posted pics of Osram.. and someone just posted in TB 500 thread that coz of extreme vision the reflector got burnt.. not sure if its the bulb or the low quality RE stuff..

also get some T10 (wedge ) LED's for License plate and Pilot lamps.. the license plate holder can accomodate 20 SMD T10.. bigger than that will be an issue. the pilots can take upto 42 SMD as someone posted.. i wasnt sure about the clearance so i got 20 SMD T10 even for pilots.. will be getting 42's now..

I am already using a 10LED SMD for the license plates. Planning to convert the pilot lamps too but daytime visibility for white LEDs is very poor compared to bulbs (When touring/long rides on highways, I always ride with my pilots on).

the Pilots does not house a reflector instead have plain glass with deflects light.. .just like old headlamps and hence looks dull even at night.. i am still not happy with 20SMD..
they still look dull and a p180/150 / zmr looks bright even with 10 SMD LED for the same reason..

I noticed that the very first day...did a little bit of jugaad for myself - got myself a shiny foil and used it inside the housing to act as a reflector. Not a drastic improvement, but better than stock any day.

It is a 2.5 inch AES brand bixenon projector with double angle eye.The bulb is 6000k 35 watts h1 bulb. The rainbow effect in low beam is caused by the metal strip in the projector.
                                @theironhorse99
I got this complete set up for 10500/- a pair.A friend having a black cbr has installed the other piece.
It is was for cars & so have to buy another harness from him so 500/- extra.
The good thing is I got 1 years warranty on the complete set up.
I have used a Philips Diamond Vision 5000k 55/60 watts bulb previously but it is no where as good as this.
If U guys want a good & cheap alternative go with Philips Rally 55/60 watts. It is for 150/- & bit better than the 700/- oe bulb.
