Honda CBR 250R
These lights have 1 single LED inside which is covered by a normal glass in front.Originally posted by aargee View PostAwesome idea!! Thanks for sharing.
About wiring, is that taken from High/Low beam switch or have a separate connection? Some insight write-up to educate us is highly appreciated. Thanks.
Each light is 5W each so a total 10W is needed.
It's better to connect them to pilot lights of your bike in case to avoid any melting scene. Also, put a 10W fuse in the red wire for 1 more safety of these bulbs & your bike's electrical.
These lights are so bright even under full bright sun that you can spot them from a good 400-500m of range on highway.
The body is lightweight, just put a piece of rubber (tyre tube) between bulb body & your bike to avoid the vibration.
Remember : LED's are long lasting but vibrations are like slow poison to them.
I had connected it to the parking / pilot lights but I still had a hidden separate push / pull switch for just in case.
For loads on battery & wiring :
These 10W lights consume even lesser than your bulb tune indicator. So you don't have to worry about anything.
Still if you're worried :
1. When you use them during night, you'll see that your stock headlight is just useless. These lights are freaking Diwali every time you switch them on.
So an off headlights is directly saving your 35w/ 55W.
2. You can go for LED indicators of you still want to save some Watts. They are super cheap these days.
P.S. : I know you haven't asked me and I'm just spamming But I was among the very first to use them, after that I saw these lights everywhere.
Plus, I'm sitting here waiting for a friend and getting super bored. [emoji4]

My bad. I sourced the lights from that mechanic. I should have visited accessories shops first....Originally posted by Sird View PostYou just for robbed!!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I have brought them from eBay, unfortunately it's ended. Below is the one I have got(suggested by theironhorse99).
eBay is a leading global selling platform for online sellers to export products from India and sell globally. Start your global selling journey with eBay today! Low set-up cost | High profitability
These led's I guess are made from China and we cannot just confirm the prices as different product comes via different routes. In the end the actual product matters. I paid X amount and am satisfied with my purchase and the product I got looked a good quality to me.
Also there are mix of 5w, 10w, 15w lights so check that out while buying.
---------------------------------------------------
Regarding power, i have taken it from the pass light directly from the switchgear, I also have a separate toggle switch for the lights. Can someone confirm me whether it has its own fuse?
Below is the place where I have tapped the power from the left side switchgear.

Well said; here's one if you like to buy - High Power Cree LED FOG Light Reflector External USE 10W Bike CAR 1pc | eBayOriginally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View PostThese led's I guess are made from China and we cannot just confirm the prices as different product comes via different routes. The one I have is 10W
If someone is too concerned about the quality, price, genuineness etc here's what the best money can buy - Auxiliary Driving Lights & Mounts | TwistedThrottle.com Get the DX & it is sure to blow your mind; lights up path ahead like a broad day light for nearly 0.7 Km!!
What I understand is you've taken the power supply as parallel connection from headlights via switch; if this understanding is right, then, yes, the supply to switch comes via 10A fuse; so if something goes wrong, both headlight as well as LED light don't light upOriginally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View PostRegarding power, i have taken it from the pass light directly from the switchgear, I also have a separate toggle switch for the lights. Well, if you would've sourced from an accessories shop, may be your mechanic would've done a shabby job. If I were you, I wouldn't mind to have done that kind of good mount on your CBR. It not only is a fabulous setup, but also looks gorgeousOriginally posted by Kiran.jagtap View PostMy bad. I sourced the lights from that mechanic. i checked it out. these are roughly costing around 1300 for single piece for 10 w.
there is another listing of same light around 600 for one.. but that is 5 w which i dont think would be effective enough
here it is

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Actually I have taken the power from the pass switch and not from the headlight on switch, I believe it has a separate wiring. But am not sure if it has its own wiring all the way from battery with its own fuse(though I highly doubt it). So yes it's kind of parallel connection to head lights.Originally posted by aargee View Post....

.....
If it's not, then I may end up with no lights in case of blown fuse. Let me know if you come up with any other way. But I would like to have in connected via ignition switch and not directly from the battery, as it might bring it's own consequences.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Per this diagram pass does come through 15A fuse; if you like to check, pull out the 15A fuse from the fuse box located under the rider's seat & use the pass switch.Originally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View PostActually I have taken the power from the pass switch...But I would like to have in connected via ignition switch and not directly from the battery, as it might bring it's own consequences.
If you like to try alternative, try connecting to the line coming out of "C" fuse 10A; worst case scenario, if your headlamps conks off, you'll be left with LED headlamps as this line is powering turn lights, neutral lights etc.Last edited by aargee; 08-20-2016, 10:05 PM.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I am noob in electricals so i didnot understand from where the mechanic took the supply. For my bike, i insisted mechanic to put a dedicated switch which works only when ignition is ON. There is no special fuse used for the wiring, but i understand tht it is linked with fuse which connects supply to dashboard led, horn and indicators.Originally posted by aargee View Post

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Hi fellows
My CBR has a weird kind of noise & it comes only when riding on rough patches. Seems to come somewhere from the front. Chiu chiu kind of noise as if something is loose. I took it to Hinda SVC couple of times & they have been unable to locate the source. The sound is very low ... I hear it esp when riding on rough or uneven roads & I hear it when I have my helmet on...its driving me crazy. Its a 5 month old bike & has clocked close to 10,000 Kms. Please advice...!!!
Thanks in advance.
Dothras Chek ...!!!
