If you mess with the ignition, by cutting/splicing any wires, if ASC notice it, your electrical warranty is void. Better leave on the battery directly. Only downside to direct battery connection is that the charger is always on. Thus it will lead to battery drain. So use a hidden switch for your charger.

pinkesh2703 - you stuck to 70 kmph for the entire run in? Oh dear, you haven't been reading this thread since the beginning, have you?

Nowhere has Honda claimed that your must stick to 4000 rpm in the run in period, it's all bro science copied from other bikes.

I demolished the 4000 rpm run in myth when I ran in my bike at 4000-7000 rpm, and the occasional 120-136 kmph. I gave it the first service at ~935 kms.

Engine till works fine at 38.5k. The damn chain still goes on, infact I have to lube the spare chain and sprocket set also since I bought it too early.

You can use Philips extreme vision H4 bulb, check it on Amazon
It gives slightly more light than stock bulb, but since stock itself costs ₹400-500, the ₹700 u pay is kind of acceptable.

Well, I heard the Philips were better, so I opted for those. [emoji57]

I too had changed my stock bulb to philips extreme vision. Light throw is better compared to stock. It has bit whitish beam compared to the stock yellow. Don't know about Osram.

I am currently using osram night breaker laser h4 60/55w on my cbr. I am quite happy and satisfied with the light and the throw. Yes it is a bit expensive, a pair cost 2200,i.e, 1100/ bulb. But then I don't mind paying that amount for the light that I am getting.

Got the first service done of my cbr at My wings, kothrud, Pune. The work was done pretty quick I called them at 12 pm for tomorrow's appointment, they said you bring the bike today itself. So i went there at 1pm but it was there lunch break till 2pm. So I went and got my rest of the work in that area done and came back by 1.45pm. The work on bike was started by around 1.50-2 and was done by 2.45-3. Works done were oil change, both front and rear brake pads cleaning, coolent topup, chain lubrication. Was charged Rs. 2007.
Oil filter was not changed. The technician said change it during 6k service.

Oil filter should be changed in first service, compulsorily. So write a mail to Honda customer care about the SVC words. HMSI takes their vehicles seriously, even if the dealers won't.

I too thought the same but as SVC said changing filter is not not necessary now so I didnt and my odo is also at just 166km as i still didnt get the no. For my bike so I dont use it much.

It is mandatory to change the filter after the initial breakin of the engine due to metal particles which are shaved off.

Please get it change. Why to screw the engine for few 100 bucks.

Once you change the oil filter, please check the old oil filter you will see metal particles and then you will believe why oil filter change is needed.

Cheers,
Sanjay

I am done with over 1900kms in two months and first servicing done. My oil filter wasn't changed too. When asked, they replied the same, to change at 6k Kms.

Very odd this. Normally all new motorcycles have the oil filter changed during first service.
