But after i got the tyre fitted i got a call from that dealer saying he has the rear tyre now in stock. Told him i already bought one so he might be still having it with him if you want a stock Conti rear.

As for others, there isnt much choice in the city. You'd have to get one from Blore and that is a no brainer. The new Conti rear actually grips better than the stock for me. Sometimes i doubt if the tyre was brand new or used because i didnt even have to run-in to get that grip.

Today only i switched rear tyre to Dunlop. heard some good review of Dunlop ... cost was 3000/- (fittings included) .

Mrf revz available only for yamaha FZ's
    PSD's .. couldnt find them...

Contis are readily available in Mangalore at many places.
Even Dunlops are readily available and cheaper than conti's...
I heard that dunlops are better than contis.. (Available at wheelcare in mannaguda and Nirmala tyres in pumpwell)

    So only Dunlop.

Yes, that's one bike which looks equally fitting regardless of whether you are wearing a racing leather or a tuxedo.

It's just a matter a day or two. I got used to the position in a matter of 2-3 days. Make sure you don't put all your weight on your wrists. Ride easy and you'll be comfortable.

Scratch and attention magnet. Have to adjust my mirrors and some switches always.
Minor niggles will disappear over a week or two. The vibes will most likely disappear after your 1st service. In my initial days, my mirrors used to come off loose every 2 hrs. Now they don;t need any adjustment. Been weeks since I touched that allen key!
And yes, you'd do yourself a lot good by adding a vinyl layer over the exhaust shield and the visor - they are the easiest to spoil.

What's in a name? Frankly, going by all other params, it should have been named VFR250.

LOL! Love your comparisons with Tiger and Rat. BTW, the 'tiger' is still a lot easier to handle than the ZMR. The ZMR, being much longer than the 'tiger' feels less like a bike and more like a car in city traffic & parking.

Helmets definitely don't matter much. I use a LS2 for touring and never felt a difference. (For office commuting, I use a lightweight Steelbird). Maybe you could take a ride without the jacket and the luggage one day and check? Do you carry a laptop on your back? If so, then the new riding position may need some getting used to.

I think Revz would fit on a 17inch rim
          Correct me if wrong :P
And i was talking of the revz from KTM duke 200

revz for FZ/fazer is 140/60 and now comes in tube type...

dunlop tuffgrip is 140/70 for cbr (stock size) tubeless

and ktm duke is 150/60 and is tubeless revz series..

all these are 17inchers however trye height is diffrent for cbr vs fz,fazer & duke.
get the correct size tyre else you might be running all together on a diffrent gear ratio
as the wheel circumference will change.. speedo errors too..

and yes i have got tuffgrip on one my close friend's cbr and its a welcome change from conti's
just happy in corners... conti's always scared me .. touchwood never had an embarassing situation
but conti's always gave the gut feeling of it might go wrong...

havent tested mrf yet .. AARGEE will be able to comment for mrf.

PSD's are only available is cities like delhi and mumbai and maybe chennai too..
nutin in hyd either else excessively overcharged...

              • A naive question.

Is it possible to replace the coolant with a car coolant, in case juggad is necessary?.

That CBR150R looks beautiful. I feel the 150R looks better than the 250R but I've seen some sweet 250Rs with matt black wheels and nicely dark smoked headlamps.

                  • Any Bangalore CBR 250R owners here who got their bikes from Saphire Honda, J.P Nagar? I've finally decided to go with the bike after a lot of consideration, test rides and waiting. However the finer details can never be observed on a showroom bike and also I have a few things to ask and see for myself. Anyone kind enough to spare half an hour sometime this weekend, please PM, coffee's on me . It'll help me seal the deal a lot quicker

I really like the absolutely clean, graphics-free design of the 250R, but sometimes I do wish the 250 had some graphics options apart from the HRC Editions.
Maybe the 'Desi' in me is so used to stickered-up bikes that I tend to forget that most of the international bikes do not have any graphics on them!

Very True! Even i like a subtle colored/stickered bikes, unless the bike comes stock with crazy stickers (my Duke for example :P ). A Red 250R with black wheels looks great!

there is a diffrence between funky and classy.. even with HRC i can still ride to work with a white shirt and formal pants and polished black shoes and still not look odd...
the diffrence is just that thin line of over doing.. 150 few shades a really good. but for the way the machine looks .. stickers look over done.. has it been a gsx or an r1 it would
have kept upto the image ....

but i'd love to have the plainest of rides.. thats pure niche.. all i wish is a superbike with no stickers painted matte black...

@theironhorse99: "Racy" SBKs are stickered up funkily for a different target audience. But look at all the sport tourers out there: The Honda Blackbird, ST1300, VFR1200F, Yamaha FJR1300, Kawasaki ZZR1200 - all of them are feature a clean, mature and elegant look.

Guess the same legacy has been carried over to the CBR twins in India, given the fact that the 250 is more of a tourer and the 150 is more of a racer!!!
