          • Hi Guys yesterday I cleaned n lubed my chain with Motul.
What a pain it was to do it moving the bike to and fro ....
thats bcoz I am enroute my 4k ride and dont have access to a paddock stand.

Has anyone in the group has made/fabricated a paddock stand? Please share the idea and measurements, would be of great help.

And you are supposed to use it only when strictly needed unlike the most of the hooligans out there who seem to have it hard wired into their heads that they have to press the horn all the time!

Pls read my first post with open mind; I'd said, no offense to ppl upgrading & mentioned my thoughts.

Upgrading to higher decible exhaust is also a no no, but again it depends on the junkie riding it. Having loud horns, eye blinding HID's & ear drums tearing loud exhausts are strict NO if they're against the law.

Anyway, I'm outta this discussion. xBhp always stands for safe riding, which means, respecting others & sharing on the road; justifying that this is the culture in Delhi is totally ridiculous. Then, this means that, Sunny, pkon, sunilg, OF sir etc don't know Delhi culture or they also have all these loud thingies on their rides.

+1; OTOH, imagine the plight when all of them use loud exhausts & horns for others to yield way; the entire nation will have time to run to ENT specialist If one knows to ride well & has confidence, they don't find use for loud horns & exhaust, on the account for yielding way.

                • Not to put too fine a finger on it, I think the last 5-6 pages are a complete waste of everyone's time. Is putting on a loud horn such an interesting topic?

First of all, why would anybody need a horn? Inside city, no one budges even if you press constantly and on highways, if you are speeding, sound won't reach far.

One remedy I have for guys who like loud horns. . . . how about fitting one facing towards yourself so that every time you honk, you will understand why you shouldn't go for loud horns.

                  • Wooooah!! So much discussion for horns.. well, it may be a personal preference to choose a horn, but what logic says that the horn does not suit the cbr?? Is it like, the higher the capacity of the bike, the louder the horn should be?? I wonder how loud a busa's horn should be No offense to any one here. If you feel the need for upgrade, go for it. But please take into consideration, the road-sense and that you are representing a well respected forum. Manufacturers try to put the best of all worlds. But may not work for everyone.
I just love the "Roadrunner" beep-beep of my CBR.

I dont agree with this,It is because you have a less noisy horn,I am having Roots Windtones in my bike,Dual Horns and i had seen people jumping out of my way when i honked.

and on highways, if you are speeding, sound won't reach far.
Thats correct,No use when you are speeding at highways. I had a situation when two ladies crossing oneway road looking at opposite direction, talking on their mobiles,i was at 80's and i suddenly pressed the horn and brakes,Luckily they heard my loud horn and moved from the way,at that time if i had my stock horn,i could have hit them!

No offense to any one Just my thoughts

Yes. They jump out of your way but is your journey time really reduced? Just check for a week whether your journey time with and without horns is any different. Making people jump out of their skin may be fun but dosen't aid forward motion.

Why were you in a situation when other people's movement was a mandatory requirement for not crashing in them? A rider should never expect any one else to behave in the manner you expect. You should be riding only at such speed which enables you to avoid those idiots on your own.

I don't remember the last time I honked at someone either. I maybe honk not more 10 times in a year's time of riding.

For me,Horn is not for reducing journey time,It for informing the careless walkers that there is a vehicle behind them.

                              • I feel I shouldn't have spoken my mind & partly feel a little guilt for the OT . Let me switch back to subject.

I picked up the copy of my RC today; Good thing is that RTO recognized 249.6cc while the BHP mentioned is 18.6 !!! Even if it were 25PS, then it should've been 23 Bhp. Don't know when & where the issue lies. Is it with the dealer or manufacturer or with RTO? Anyone? Any thoughts pls?
