problems with my cbr250r(ABS)
I have completed 1k on odometer few days back but had got my bike serviced at 921km before completing 1000km as prescribed by the Honda manual primarily because of two strange problems which I never experienced with my pulsar. The reasons are:
A. A vibrations starts at around 30/40kph when I shut throttle and decrease speed. This can be felt on foot pegs and transmits to tank and seat later on. This problem started happening after around 800km of running. And this happens particularly when the bike is in either 4th gear or below that.
B. The handle bars wobble at low speeds even on plane roads though this problem was lessened to a large extant after the 1st servicing.
I am going to get it rechecked at the Fortune Honda(Hyderabad) after a couple of days and will see whether they are able to rectify it or not.But I want to know from you fellow bhpians is
A. Has anyone of you faced these problems on your famed quarter liter bike.
B. How could this happen even after meticulously following and ridding my bike the way it is suggested in the manual. Not to mention I still haven't crossed 6k mark on rpm meter.

Finally managed to take a test ride of the 250R. A new showroom has come up here in BBSR(which happens to be India's largest Honda 2 wheeler showroom
) couple of months back. Took the bike for a spin across mixed patches of road surface. The first time i released the clutch it stalled, as i couldnt gauge the exact play. After second attempt i started rolling over a potholed section in 2nd gear at 2-3k rpm, even at 4k rpm i couldnt notice sufficient poke. Once i crossed the potholed section, i gave the stick and the bike literally flew(in comparison to other sub-250cc bikes i have ridden) post 6k rpm. There was uninterrupted relentless flow of torque from 6k to all the way to 11k rpm, which i really liked.Ripped the bike to the core and it was a thouroughly enjoyable experience.
But while riding at low speeds at around 2-3krpm, the engine felt jerky and under sudden acceleration inputs given from the throttle there was a kind off loud vaccum sound from the engine(probabaly from the intake side) with delay in response from the engine. Also i could hear faint tappet noise which is not a concern but it was present. The bike felt adequately damped with not so stiff or not so light suspension setup, it felt nicely balanceed. It was a C-ABS model and the braking performance felt top-notch and so was the handling/flickability.
On-road price:Rs.1,58,xxx.
All in all it's a very good VFM proposition.

Hey!!! even i got a test ride yesterday at My wings honda (Pune). It was an ABS version. The most important thing I liked about the bike is how quickly it can reach a speed of 80kmph (well i didn't got a chance to stretch it further due to traffic) but the i felt the bike was good. I rode it for around 2-3 km and its not enough to say anything else.Originally posted by chicane1879 View PostFinally managed to take a test ride of the 250R. One more important thing....I am getting my baby blade probably next week... only waiting for me getting the cheque from bank (i applied for personal loan of 1 lac), I had already paid the rest of the amount. Dealer said the bike will reach their showroom on sunday.....of god!!!! I am eager to take my bike.....

[QUOTE=aargee;693187]This is OT here & ask the question in Riding Gears thread; anyway, visit PlanetDSG for your needs. Moreover, I'd suggest you to go through Riding Gears thread to get education not only to find the store, but, also on what type of materials to select & the prices for the same.
OK
Approach HMSI ASC for paddock; they should be available there. Tankpad again, you'll get answer from PlanetDSG, chain lubes, use Motul/Wurth.
Thanks!!!
