Don't know whether this is the same case for yours. Anyways please try yourself
.
Cheers!!!Will try that. The kind of sound it is, sure seems like some part which should have been lubed, is dry.Originally posted by Binoy View PostYes @aargee i read that. But thought to share my case which would somehow benefit him

Although, I must say this is the best commuter I could ask for.
You don't even realize and it's already doin 75-80km/hr. It's only when you see others on the road going beind that you realize so

I just wish these small niggles were taken of. Like these sqeaks and the panel gaps. You are not a chemical. So think before you react.

What do you mean by overhauled? When I asked my mech to check out the coneset as a probable cause for stiff steering, he insisted that rusting of coneset hasn't been an issue for Maharashtra climate, with no such case reported yet (within the dealer network, atleast). I did not understand exactly, but he said that he loosened the handle for better steering. It did have a positive effect though, so maybe the coneset actually wasn't rusted.Originally posted by srivaatsav View PostMy mech dint change the coneset ... as he said ... its fine .. so whats the solution ??? He overhauled the front fork ! and guess what guys ... Its better than before !
I agree. Its really irritating. It has been barely a week and 200 km since I got my guard repainted, and already, lo behold, another scratch.. What happens if you teflon coat just that one part? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard that teflon coating reduces chances of scratches, right?Originally posted by srivaatsav View Post@ All .... My silencer guard has few scratches (easily prone for scratches ).... any solutions guys ?
Mywings is pretty good as an ASC. Don't know how they are for buying the bike itself.Originally posted by abhifusion View Post@ Pune Members,

some pics please!Originally posted by chicmagnet View PostStuck a plastic sheet (same one used to cover books) on the front mudguard. It got a little burnt though since it was a little longer that I anticipated but it is fine now as after the burning (it got stuck to the exhaust pipe I believe), it doesn't reach till there!
Anyways, it didn't rain today and I rode for 70kms. Stones and gravel was thrown off quite a lot and the plastic sheet helped in avoiding those! Surprisingly after I stuck it, the bike engine kinda runs better now :S, as in more smoother than before! (It could be just in my mind though!)

Did a DIY radiator guard and i feel easy for first service and not to worry about bent finsOriginally posted by Varun.Lamba View PostHi guys.. saw someone posted about pasting a plastic strip on the front mud guard to protect the radiator... good innovation

And yes i have taken care of cooling part and if you watch, thats just wire mesh and will not block any air flow at all. After that i took a ride of almost 40 kms which didn't show any increase in temperature and over run of radiator fan to cool it that frequent. Also thats just a mod which am intending to use only while giving it for servicing (to avoid bent fins with pressure wash) and when too rainish drives.CBR - 2011

Means reworking the entire front fork by greasing it , cleaning , adjusting the entire fork from the scratch.. I explained to my mech about the faulty coneset .. My mech did check the coneset but everything was fine according to him and I completely believe him since he his the doctor for the bike's and he must know what he is doing !! If you are having the same problem has mine .. try do overhauling the front fork .. It works for me !

Teflon wont do any good ! May be the carbon fibre sheet ?? It looks neat !

Went to the ASC with my issues. The mechanic did what Binoy suggested. And it did work. Also, about the front squeaking, it seems some dirt got trapped in the callipers that made the sound in the front. He opened and cleaned it and then all's good.
By the way, my silencer heat shield has started to lose its color in some parts. Talked to the SVC manager. He took pics of the same, and said he'd mail Honda. He said this should be changed under warranty. A pic is attached below.
Also, saw another CBR where the owner managed to bend the rear alloy and it's been lying there since a week or so. The first bent rim issue on CBR I suppose. You are not a chemical. So think before you react.
