Should have told earlier. We'd have gone together Anyway, good that you didn't come with me. Its pretty much painful to bear the sight of the bike when you know you are not at fault.

Anyway, here goes the pic of my bike post the mishap.

Holy shit!! Damn these mindless drivers.. Hope you will get the spares sooner..

Wish ur ride a speedy recovery...

Huh! What can you say..! I'm just happy that I wasn't riding.
Even I'm scared thinking of spares. The ASC said it will take a minimum of 15 days, if not more.
I say even 15 days is being optimistic. Let's see.

Great pics. Are these tone-mapped HDR images?

By the way, you should probably post lower-res images. These ones hog too much bandwidth and screen-space for desktop users, let alone those browsing on mobile phones.

              • Congratulations to all the owners of Honda CBR 250 ...

i was reading this thread and get to know that there were discussion on FE ... i have just 1 thing in my mind .... we you can put more then 1.5 lkh to this bike ... then you shouldn't be worring abt the mileage ...

JUST RIDE ... njoy the super bike feeling ...

i read a comment from one of the xBhpian that " hates to refuel after 250 km + " coz when u cruise you actually look around njoy being superior one rather then looking on to the fuel gauge ...

and if anyone felt bad about my point ... then am really very sorry ... i didnt mean to hurt you guys ... its just my point of view !!!! ...

It's not about being worried about the FE, it was a matter of fact discussion. Nothing wrong with discussing the FE as well, along with other figures like acceleration and roll-on timings. Or so I feel.

Thank you. Definitely is the best commuter I could have ever asked for. Brings a smile everytime.

Again that is because 250km is a comparatively less cruising distance on a tankfull. Which is why the xBhpian(s) you mentioned was(were) cribbing. Which translates into the need for a larger fuel tank, more than better efficiency figures IMHO.

I didn't. I'm hurt looking at the current state of my steed.

Congrats on your new ride, am sure you'll also have loads of experiences to share very soon..Be prepared to answer the very typical very common question while being stuck in the traffic or while on parking lot...Kitna deti hai

Btn, I got stopped by 2 constables(i suppose). Asking me for the vehicle documents. I asked why? And they said, imported vehicle, so to check if its stolen vehicle or with proper registration.
I dont know if i should be proud that it looks like an Imported one or laugh at their ignorance. I mean, haven't they seen enough of this bike by now??

                      UPDATE:

On my recent trip to Ooty via bangy, I had to go to nice ring road and the best thing happened yet again... I touched 165kmph for the second time. I had a saddle bag on the rear seat when I was doing 165.
Least mileage during the trip was 28 and highest was 40.

By the way, yesterday went for a short highway jaunt. Total kms covered was about 300. Lot of crosswinds though, but fact remains that the bike didn't go over 135 with me fully crouched.
Now the worse part: An Indica came from nowhere and hit my parked bike while I went to relieve myself Left side plastics totally gone. Radiator bit bent. Will upload a pic soon. Devastated man!

                            • Anyone else notice hard gear shifts from 1st to 2nd gear? Both, while up shifting and down shifting. Mine doesn't shift smoothly, but only above 7k rpm. For lower rpm, gear shifting is reasonably smooth, though not as smooth as for the higher gears. You hear a loud sound like 'khad' or 'khatak'.
Doesn't happen for any other gears.

Also, I seem to find neutral too easy. Slightly dangerous when I'm leaning on a corner and upshift, and instead of accelerating, I lose all torque, and end up leaning far too much into the curve, in expectation of the increased speed.

                              • Dear CBR roarers!!!

I have few queries. Please Help!

                                1. I have a deep scratch at front left side(refer attached pic).

I am so worried. What will be the cost of that particular spare and fitting charges?

                                2. I have drived the beast in rain, it seems the mud is accumulated in the fins of the radiator(i think it has been splashed by the front wheel, from its rear spin), how should i clean it, i bother whether i may bend the fins if i do a normal clean. How can i avoid that mud accumulation in future. Any additional accessories to be fitted?, like a mud guard or something in similar?

                                3. During rains/wet roads, the water/mud gets splashed to the pillion riders back, tail light, the no. plates and almost half of the bike from rear side. How can i avoid this? My gal frnd is killing me, as she sits at the rear.

                                4. For how many kms should i lubricate my chain. What lubricant should be used, the cost of lubricant and how do i do that on my own?

If few of these queries been answered already, kindly excuse. Need you kind help on this!

                                Awaiting for a suitable reply!
