I had many pressure water service on my FZ and has absolutely no probs. Even sometimes i had washed the bike with detergents. So with one or two water wash these issues are not definitely acceptable. Checking many post on this ownership thread is a proof of the bad Quality from Honda.
Although this may be true that high pressure water wash damages the paint, yet i bought a Bajaj Platina when i was in standard 7 and kept it till i was in 11th...and in all those year, i knew nothing abt bike care....

washed it almost daily with some "real" pressurised water and that too when engine was totally hot (immediately after i came back home from school) and cleaned up with clinic all clear and waxed it every weekend
    with waxpol...

I still have that platina now and yet i havent have experienced the slightest of rusting issues or paint peel offs anyday!!

and believe me..while i treat my CBR as my paralysed wife (who cant take care of herself) , I used to treat my platina like i wanna destroy it ASAP....It tolerated all of it and its still awesome for another 50,000 kms

will scan my bill then will post it here plzz tell me is this okk only for oil change.

now when i will get oil filters in 1 week they will charge me 250 for oil filter and some more money for lubing chain..

so may total for 1 service will come aroung 1100 rs..
yup mate! 1100 is normal....everybody who gets the 10w30 is charged the same way (1000 +)
they charged me 80 rs for lubing too and my bill was around 826
( minus the oil filter as i had brought it with myself )

btw wat for the "labour charges" ??

    This is a "free service"!!!

back after a 7 day 2965 kms ride on the CBR & yes I can say it does have quality issue only with respect to "outers" & not "inners"

      A short descripto:

brilliant on highways -- with my weight of 60 kgs plus gear 20 kgs & 40 kgs of luggage it used to cruise on 120s most times & touch 155 on the speedo at a downward gradient on a 6km straight stretch-- did 140s many a times

engine doesnt feel strained after single continuous run of 300 kms too --by than petrol indicator blinks so no option but to stop

holds line very nice even in crosswinds --

decent enough tyres even in wet conditions--

      cons:

various noises coming from gear lever as it comes up (will be ok after oiling/lubricating)

disks doing very loud chik-chik -- will be cleared after pressure wash

RVMs most irritating (left one) -- the nut fell off twice --found it once--2nd time used a roadside twig as temp arrangment

the screws --some of them --rusting

tyres don't hold their grip on slush & gravel but understandable

brakes (std version) lack the "bite" -- something like r15 & the ninja has -- get a lazy feel & bikes takes a millisecond more to stop but it's felt nonetheless

vibes have increased like hell below 3k rpm & whenever i chop off from the throttle

paint quality as well as coating quality by now is a known issue

seat foam cud have been softer ,vegetables are more happy than on the R15 but bums become sore only in 200-300 kms --This also has to do with the mish mash of riding position

wished for a bigger capacity tank certainly

exhaust is too upswept for decent sized saddle bags with rain cover--

for people who are taking extra efforts to maintain the good looks of their bikes is ok --but for a product worth excess of 1.5 L ,i certainly don't wan't to keep it waxing & coating & polishing all the while

more intricate details will be up in ride report or tour log

FYI - the filter's MRP is Rs 260 (Chennai) & the price of 20W-40 Honda engine oil for 1.5 Lts is Rs 300; tax is about Rs 26 & the total was somewhere around Rs 590.

That means u got 10w30 oil (1.5l is around 720) instead of 20w40 (less than 500).......simple!!!

paint peels, engine issues, gear box problems, bad service, rusting parts...

Honda seems to have dropped the ball on this one.
                        .
I am facing no paint peels , engine issues & bad service. Only minor rusting on few small allen key screws also the gear box is a bit stiff in second & first while downshifting but is smooth otherwise. I have done total 3768 kms.

Please take a look at the images which i clicked after 4 days of my first service done by Rajinder Honda(Delhi).

Whole chain is rusted by just few drops of rain, which proves the worst quality of service.

Friends------Please give me HSMI complaint numbers or email address, i want to give them a love letter regarding their product which needs more care then a little baby need.
In rainy season I recommend chain clean & lube atleast every 500kms . I suggest you use Motul chain clean & chain lube, it does an excellent job. I will post an image of my CBR's chain soon which I cleaned just yesterday, it also has started to rust but not as severe as in your bike.

Yes, I too raised this question to the Honda Experts I met on 7th July and they confirmed it is a misprint in the manual and only 10w30 is recommended, so everyone please make sure you confirm with your service engineer in this regard before changing it to any other grade of oil.

                                1. Tinted windscreen is looking good.
                                2. One side lever is black and the other is silver. Why not put the Unicorn lever on both the side.
                                3. What about the RVMs?
