    3. What about the RVMs?
1)Yes i liked the tinted screen more than the plain one. even though it made a hole in my pocket the quality/finish is good.

2)Other than putting unicorn's lever on both sides i am planning for a buffing of the unicorn's black lever. bored of seeing black levers. i liked the silver touch more.

    3) RVM's are now the biggest probs. No availability of it. I have contacted the Yamaha SVC head and he said bring my bike to the SVC and he want's to see my bike and have a TD of it. He said we can solve the RVM issue somehow.

Sounds like the catalytic converter doing its job.
But are you sure the sound comes from the front&not the rear near the exhaust?

        • This "tik tik" sound should come from the exhaust & not from radiator. I have a P220 Fi & same sound comes after I have done a ride & parked my bike. The sound may not be heard in SVC where there are so many other disturbances around but is is audible when in a realtively calmer environment.

no the sound which we are saying is not the one which comes from silencer when it is cooling after the ride.. this one comes during the ride and it is audible between 4k-6k RPM and not audible after this..

            • I'm planning to wash and wax my bike today and I've got a question. Is it fine to use Scotch brite (yellow/green) to wash the bike?

Scotch Brite !!! You really thought that?? Buy a soft cloth (preferably lint free) or sponge. You can use scotch brite to clean the alloys & nothing else. Wax only there is no water left on the surface.

please don't. (i'm talking ScotchBrite's bout liquid soap here yea...)
i hope you're not reffering to the green/yellow scrubber.

try Amway's car shampoo... prolly the best option out there.

and to bling it up... try this...

you won't be disappointed with the results.

                        .
I already have both these products and I'll be using them on my bike today. Use them on my car every month or so and it gives a good lasting shine.

                            +1 to Kishore!!

yep! I have had my ears near the engine a 1000 times and em more than 101% sure its coming from the front side.

I know that sound which you are talking abt @ RX100.7050 ,

but no, we get it from the front side...

but u gave me a lead!! ... imagine that "tik tik" sound that comes after driving the bike but at a much much faster speed so as to match the speed of the "vroom vroom" of the bike when accelerated!!!

Interestingly ,there is a considerable change in the sound of the exhaust too, without the "tik tik" , the bike sounds more compact, refined and has a lower frequency..... once the "tik tik" sets in, the note kinda changes to a more noisier, and higher frequency sound. from "vrroooom" it goes to " vraaaaam (tik tik tik) " ..lol
sometimes it isint der (usually when the bike is left undriven for sometime), but then again, as the engine munchs some miles, its back!!
at RPMS (above 6) , it disappears, but reappears again if u shift down to slow down your speed or if u simple let go off the throttle...

the SVC guy heard that sound and said "dont worry this will go away on its own after a kew kms of ride"...he didnt temme where exactly the problem was coming from...

its still there and em sure the SVC guy himself doesnt know what that "tik tik" is!
