No parts are available here in kerala. Is this parts available with your local dealers please let me know.
Don't expect any parts any where in India at least for one month, as the owners are struggling for initial parts needed for the first service.

You should check for alternate parts, if you want to move on and use your bike...
If you have the money, try to import the after market parts which are for CBR250R, instead of doing trial and error with other bike parts.

I have checked TYGA which @DK is going to order. But the prices are too high. I think i can go for the Tinted windscreen only now.
My main replacement needed parts are
      1) Windscreen
      2) Left RVM
      3) Clutch Lever and
      4) Front Left Foot peg
with these parts i am done.

I would recommend people who are getting their new CBRs to take the bike from the showroom to highway right away and complete the initial 200Kms and not under city traffic lights. I did the same and believe me i did not face such issues till now 1600+Kms. The heat emitted while stopping in signals is still noticeable but not like any volcanic eruption.

Note: If you are taking it to highway for initial 200Kms do not run in at a constant speed. Keep varying your speed below 80Kmph with breaks inbetween

I did that. Not just 200, but 949 Kms. Yet I've the biggest issue!!!

but looking at the clutch shape, its clear that his clutch was aftermarket ultra flexi rubber cluch (ok em kiddin)or, this accident took at a very high speed

+100, ABS obviously helps and is an enhanced safety measure, but well, all bikes till now, mostly, have been non abs, and well, you get my point. I agree on the benefits of ABS whole heartedly though.

Getting Black Std delivery tomorrow. YUSSSSSS!!! Planning to top up with Shell and go on NICE road in Bangalore in the night and clock some numbers on the odo

Sorry for that, bro. Yet from the issues you mentioned before seems to be your's is a special case.

                • The bike's done ~2500 kms. Being up the Himalayas twice..That's where the fun of the low-end torque is felt

Go for TYGA tinted screen, no other options
and for the footrest, well nuthing matches the CBR250R in looks so u have to change both sides..
I have done an intensive research on footrest after i lost my left side footrest and herez wat i find:

p220- OBVIOUSLY its not a match

ZMR - wud fit but looks to big

fazer- gud fit but looks like the ZMR's, squarish and unstylish

r15- i didnt fit it on my bike but as per my measurements,it will fit...the cheapest by far too!here it costs rs 60/- each side...does enhance the look of the bike and is one of the perfect options but some R15 riders suggested me against it saying that the leg slips a lot on thr R15 footpeg.

SO,can any R15 rider throw some light here?

Apache's are by far the most accurate match for the CBR look and shape is somewhat the same except for the design patterns in the rubber ofcourse!

Regarding the gear lever, well many companies have come up with various aftermarket gear levers so choose for urself and get one....if u gonna wait for HONDA, then believe me, buy urself another temporary bike before HONDA gets ur parts...

Still, if u think u got some tremendous patience then call up ur regional HMSI head-office and place an emergency order with them!!
i cant comment how long the "emergency" order takes to arrive because I placed my emergency order for the tank on may 26th and em still waiting for it (they said it'll be here with me in a week's time..and now they saw its gonna take another month..sucky honda..grrr)

rest of the parts, i have no idea.

letz wait for 2012's atlas...if they come up with a new mountain for Orissa, i'll be the first to ride to the top if it!

Thanks a lot man. The looks are the second part only. For me i have now put the rear foot peg on the front for the use. So in your opinion Apache's foot peg is most similar in looks and fit rite? For the time being i will go for it.

Yes i think going for the rubber type is better for long rides and all and i have noticed it almost similar to CBR too.
will post the pics when i am done.

                            • I have been keeping an eye on this footrest since a month and the price has gone down considerably so i am thinking of going for it:

Front Foot Pegs for Honda ACE Aero 750 1100 CBR 600 F4i | eBay

I think its gonna fit our bikes (suggestions most welcome)

PS: i have sent him a mail askin if it wud fit the CBR and discount on bulk order and still awating a reply!

if he says yes and If anyone wants to grab one, lemme know....if my debit card doesnt ditch me, i MAY buy one for myself!
