Chain getting loose frequently
.
one thing i noticed is that while you are on the 6th gear and always riding below 65kmph the chain getting loose often may be coz of the low end torque is not adequate and feeling a back pull in the chain. once past 70 in 6th it seems ok
. also riding in low rpm in any gear cause this probs.

front disk pad 680 rsOriginally posted by kurtrules View Post
Moreover, the disc pads have ceased to exist (both front and rear) in just 7.5k kms. And they cost like 1500 a pair.
This service is going to cost me a bomb!
rear disk pad 670 rs
if you thing these are costly in 1500 then what about karizma its front disk pads costs 2800 and in city they need to change in every 5 to 6 k .
better you get rear disk pad from 220 they are of 130 rs only.
it will suely save you from bomb

HMSI isn't suggesting it, what I'm trying to say is that, I'd rather do that for every service (let's see the cost) so that I can keep C250R in top notch conditionOriginally posted by sunkenpirate View PostI guess I need to try that too
Interesting observation!!! The HMSI engineer told me that the chain should be inspected/adjusted every 2K kmsOriginally posted by Binoy View PostChain getting loose frequently
In that case, I bet C250R's should cost more than 1.5KOriginally posted by Rahul Rods Tewathia View Postif u thing these are costly in 1500...need to change in every 5 to 6 k

It would, but, to me already the brakes needs some serious improvement & with a worn out pad, its only calling disaster & not to mention the rear ones esp with the stock tires!!!Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View Postit will lasts a min of 12k.

WTH!!! I cannot accept this!!! Seriously guys!!! With cost compromises the quality & I seriously cannot accept low quality; otherwise, I could've waited for bigger CC Pulsar!!!Originally posted by Rahul Rods Tewathia View Post[B]front one costs 680 rs rear one costs 670 rs total 1350 rs only i thing its not bad confirmed it from uday honda svc
You mean ENGINE???Originally posted by Rahul Rods Tewathia View Postmy cbr eingen is to noisy can anyone help me regarding this what shuld i do ?
1. What's the ODO read?
2. How's the vibes during idling (cold), idling (warm/hot, say running after 10 Kms)? State this w.r.t RVM's.
3. Is there a tappet noise?
4. Are you using HMSI supplied 20W-40/10W-30 engine oil? And how many Kms completed after changing the engine oil?Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

This is real good pricing!Originally posted by Rahul Rods Tewathia View Postfront one costs 680 rs rear one costs 670 rs total 1350 rs only i thing its not bad confirmed it from uday honda svc

Yes, R15's pads cost was initially quite high at 1100 for the rear, and 790 for the front.
Now the prices are 390&690!
Even then, CBR's OTR pricing, spares pricing make it the most VFM in the 250 segment. Doubt if anyone can better it!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Rahul - Do you mean roughness in the engine or noisy? Both are 2 different things & confirm them pls.
All your answers are intact; then the only thing I can suspect is...
1. Tighten engine bed bolts
2. If that doesn't help, change the rubber mounts on engine + fairings
+1; may be BAL, but at the cost of...Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostDoubt if anyone can better it!

Common issue!!! Change engine oilOriginally posted by Rahul Rods Tewathia View Postyes bro its roughness
...atleast that's what I did;
Otherwise do this experiment, ride for somewhere long; start early in the morning say by 5:00 AM, ride for about 80-90 Kms one way & in a very good speed, atleast 70 & try to maintain the same speed when coming back. You'll find the engine much smoother. Let me know the outcome if you do this test.
70 is in mph

Saar...20 Kms is different from 90 one way!!!Originally posted by Rahul Rods Tewathia View Postlast sunday rode it continuously 140 kmph + for 20 km + after that its rough.
Anyway, if you still think so...go ahead & change the engine oil & it has to fix the engine roughness.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
