      • This is an Indian Hyosung GT 650R's bolt getting rusted.
I'm not complaining the quality of parts on the GT, or in no way its a comparison. But just mentioning that rain/water could be the culprit for parts getting rusted.
This could be the same with CBR as well. Just be a little careful.

yep i have seen many cbr here in this thread wid rvm rusted screws ..
and my cbr is now 2 month old and i am riding it in rain too after rainy ride its getting yellowish and then i do clean it properly and rvm screw are gud as new.
just clean it properly if u thing it will not get rust widhout cleaning then u are totaly wrong you need to clean daily other wise u will have rust issue on your bike..
on rvm screw there is some blank space arount screw were rain water gets in and there is no way for water to get out so we have to clean it wid clothe properly ..

            • CBR 2000 km done

              Hi guys !

Finally replaced my oil filter yesterday.

Did the first service at 930 km, could change only engine oil then.

I feel the engine has crying feeling if I twist the throttle during idling...over 5000 rpm...I dont really like that sound...the bike sounds sick...I have no idea why could that be...I think it has happend i took my bike to over 140kmph...

Could driving fast affect the engine? I drove 140 when I had done 1700 kms..

Also that tik tik noise from the front is reallly reallly annoying...whenevr i decelerate without the clutch its thr...

Aargee what is your opinion? Why do you think the engine will loose its smoothness so early?

              Thanx

              • Still no oil filter. My bike has done 900+km. Only changed oil in the first service.

So hows sound quality . The video on youtube sounds nice but its official . Has anyone tried for exhaust change plz post pics and feedback bcaus many other are also wating to replace stock ..

if you are willing to wait, then you can have the tyga exhaust(its mentioned in their website that its under development) and that exhaust is vfm.you can get a full exhaust system from tyga for the amount you spend on two brothers slip-on

                  • I got my CBR at Haiku Honda Domlur too. Would suggest you to bypass the loan procedures and go for full payment on the bike to ensure a faster delivery..
Somehow I got the feeling that things moved a lot faster once 'loan' was taken out of the equation with the dealer.
How to do this? Take a personal loan of 2lakhs from any bank of your choice. Put it down for your bike.
                    Advantages
                    1) No Downpayment needed.
2)tenure of up to 4 years => more money per month to spend on petrol / long rides
                    3) faster processing of loan
                    4) no hypothecation on your bike
                    5) bike gets delivered faster as you jump the guys waiting to finish loan formalities(only my opinion)

                    Disadvantages
                    1) Probably higher rate of interest

I guess the only question would be -- "How badly do you want the CBR??"

                    Hope this helps..

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post my questions but here goes.

                    1) How is Haiku as a dealer/ASC
                    2) My slot is currently 146 - anyone know what the current number is
                    3) Can I switch to another dealer in Bangalore ? to get it faster
                    4) Does anyone have experience with a loan for this bike. ? How does it work?

Thanks again guys for your patience. Will be a fulltime member here..

BTW.,... Ive booked the Silver STD version. Thinking of switching to black

And i still think 58k DP and 4.3k for 34months is a rip off (Anyone good at banking please correct me)
Muthoot was there too offering me 58k DP and 3.5k EMI for 36months(*but they wanted shitload of proof and documents and had more conditions than my brain could acknowledge)
But i dont get why the huge difference b/w the two (My banking knowledge is too weak lol)

Well i have 2 and a half months time to get my bike. By that time the monsoon will be over and i will be happy to have less rust accumulating on my bike and have lesser need to clean my bike everyday
So yeah im waiting to decide where im going. Good thing i have so much time.. im still keeping an eye out for That Other Brand too .

edit: Btw if the above discussion doesnt belong here.. feel free to report the posts and direct Us to the thread.

@Diuz What you are suggesting is NOT to opt for Finance scheme from dealer but go for a BANK Loan.. Correct me if i am wrong.

What he means is go for a personal loan from a bank and not for a vehicle/auto loan.

In both cases, the bank's are giving you money, only the interest rates and terms and conditions vary.

The finance scheme from the dealer is dished out by a bank. No dealer will put his money on the line, they tie up with banks and finance co's for this.

I'd always had this doubt that, Indian weather, especially the coastals require some proper treatment on metals.

Bad practice; can't comment. DO NOT idle a LC engine for long time or rev too much.

It depends how you took to 140 Kmph. Like I keep saying, you can gradually accelerate to 140 Kmph & decelerate without engine braking & that can't harm the engine.

Take it to ASC or shoot an email to HMSI customer support if the ASC can't fix & mention that in your email.

Primary issue is engine oil filter not being changed. If I were to explain the whole thing, you'll not even crank the engine without changing the filter.

Second being, I don't know how you're riding. Like, on my second engine, I changed both engine oil & filter at 500 Kms when I noticed the engine a little rough (and I did pay the labor) & after that the engine was very smooth. So I'm not sure, if you examine to the bolt of on your vehicle.

Thanks aditya. That's exactly what I meant.
@aargee. Personal loans didn't get cheaper. They are only faster to get.
While the waiting period for CBR is so high, time may not be a huge factor. But from my experience, things with the dealer go a lot smoother if you say 'full cash payment'.
I didn't really need a loan but initially pursued that to get details and there was almost nil response from hdfc for a month n a half.
Obviously I am not aware if things have improved from the 2nd lot onwards.
Can anyone confirm if they got their loans worked out within, let's say, 1 month of the booking date?
If yes, my suggestion goes out the window unless of course the downpayment or tenure or high emi are a problem too.
Check the rates given when I finally did get the finance details.(booking date: Jan 2 Hdfc response date: April 6)

No offense to you & I really mean it.

I find most people here hurrying up to buy the bike & they need the bike next day after they make a down payment. Nothing wrong in it; since that is something inevitable, why not convert those 5 months positively to gather knowledge about the bike, buy a paddock, tank pad, frame sliders etc? 5-6 months is a very good period to keep looking for accessories & may be small spares too. So when the bike is about to be bought, one can have everything in hand right from day one.
