You get the bike in hurry that is ok, why there is a need to do the first service without the oil filter change. My point is if there is no oil filter available with the SVC do not do the first service and keep pushing the SVC to get one for you. It is better to give rest for the bike and wait for sometime until you get the oil filter. Everyone here knows how much an oil filter is important then why do you want to risk it on your valuable possession ? Waiting few days could avoid trouble free ownership.

    • Took delivery at Silicon Honda yesterday at 6 PM. With the Ashada season off now the amount of people who had come to take delivery were like a vegetable shop at city market.

My experience as of now has been excellent, met the MD, GM- Sales, Service head; all of them spent quality time explaining the do’s & don’ts , Support from Honda and experience with customers. After reading some of the –ve reviews it was such a relief to have such a positive discussion with these people. Honda would be conducting some camps and would be visiting as per schedule. They mentioned they would include me and other CBR owners too for this. 10W-30 is being used on the bike.

With reference to the oil filter, had a debate with them on replacement along with oil change. Honda insisted that it’s not absolutely necessary to change the filter as they do cleaning and according to them that should suffice. But I said I would like to be extra careful and picked up an filter, I would be going for the oil and filter change at 500 kms.

Now coming to the most important part, yes they have paddock stands. It still not yet available for everyone as they are getting them fabricated from the dealer side but it will be available soon. The first thing that hit me was so many of our fellow Bhpians are looking for this so I asked Silicon whether it would be ok to share it on an online forum.
They have said its ok and are looking for buyers for these things too but have explicitly told me not to disclose the price. Hence I request you guys to go and meet Mr. Sham Sundar at Silicon directly for these. I can just comment its a steal at the price they are offering. Its just too good. very easy to mount the bike as well. Will post more pics later on , on this.

They are introducing some more accessories such as Tank Pads and Gloves, they badly want feedback on this, so would be going there to try it and give an opinion. Request fellow CBR owners to join me on this, as I feel this is a really good initiative. Thanks for all the support from this thread Xbhp.Especially Aargee. I have to hand it out to this guy. he has been patient in answering all the queries of almost all the users seeking his support on this and various other forums. Experiences like this on a forum give you some confidence while buying. Kudos Bro. Keep it up.

      • After a long wait i have installed ZMR's RVM's on the CBR. Although the stem length is lil less compared to the CBR's but there's no problem in the viewing part. Posting couple of pics.

          • I don't understand why the engine looses its refinement in just 1000kms of high speed riding (115-130) throughout...Any inputs?

                        • Another Victim of Honda Quality

Been riding in the rains a while now and well had my first real problem with the CBR. A bent front mag wheel

Have shown it to the service center and they said they will order for a replacement for the wheel and that I can claim it under insurance!

The damage is not covered under warranty.

Also shot a mail to Honda customer care but no reply from them yet!

I am totally disappointed with this. Haven't had a problem with riding the bike so far but will get the mag wheel replaced nonetheless

How this happen?..you must have run into a pothole

                            • @chickmagnet: You need not change the whole rim to get rid of the dent in the mag wheel. Looking at the current state of Honda spare you cant even be sure when the replacement rim will arrive. The better option would be to get it to a garage and get it HOT PRESSED back to shape.
This is not a flaw of the CBR maybe you hit a deep pothole at speed, my Friend had bent both the mag wheels of his Ninja and got it hot pressed for Rs.600 each, running flawlessly even after 1000+kms of riding.
