Now done with some 200 odd kms in 3 to 4 days, some issues i could feel the steering is very tight and heavy,at low speeds i could feel wobbling in my front tyre and i could feel it over my body(a sort of wheel jumping i dont know whether i could call it wobbling or some other term),paint quality over the tank area especially the place where we lean already shows scratches and paint dullness, any lights over these issues..

I have done 151 kmph on the odometer solo and it is 147.3 on my nokia e 71 gps . Regarding wobbling of handle at high speed,I got mine checked by Honda engineer and it's a faulty/rusty cone set.getting it replaced today hopefully, the spare t section has arrived from Honda after much persuasion .let's hope my baby Cbr gets alright today."Live free, Ride Hard,Ride safe and yes always wear a Helmet".

Yes srivaastav it's a common issuewith most of cbr owners with rusting issues,if your cone set is rusted your bike will wobble and feel unstable on roads, after sorting your cone set go for tire replacement as the contigo lacks grip,my friend upgraded to pirelli sports demon both front and rear by giving his contigo and trading for pirelli set by paying just 3000 rs but the grip is amazing and bike feels confident to ride and corner, a much needed upgrade."Live free, Ride Hard,Ride safe and yes always wear a Helmet".

I believe it should work, as the peak power output is at 8.5K RPM-keep the gearshifts in the powerband, and the topspeed will be achieved very quickly.Originally posted by aargee View PostThis is some real serious & I tend to believe this!!!
Has anyone else tried this before? What's anyone's take on this? Reason I'm asking is, I'm going to try this next week after my 2nd 1st service
For example, on a Sunday morning on NH7 Nagpur highway, we had a tospeed check-I upshifted all gears on my R15 at 4.5K RPM&reached 139kmph, I weighed about 78kgs.then.
Next, my friend who weighs atleast 10-15 kgs.more than me tried, he upshifted every gear at 10K RPM&reached 144!
I was a bit amazed. Topspeed is dependent on a number of factors like cross winds, crouching, chain slack, etc. etc. but then it always helps to keep the bike in the powerband-any time, any place!
On another note, I'm pretty disappointed with the topspeeds reported by all you guys of the CBR. I expected it to cross 155 atleast on the speedo.
@TrueBlueBikeR: If I'm not wrong, you were one of the 1st R15 owners, right?

Had a 620kms ride to amba ghat on saturday with fellow pune xbhpians.
Bike was a charm throughout.Tyres could use a better grip though.found less grip on wet roads during curves.
Had calculated the mileage few days before the ride.got around 29 only (35% city 65% highways)
cheers.

Back when you had a problem with the old engine, you mentioned bike not going past 135. So what rpms were u shifting at?Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
